After two difficult weeks for all the negative events that pushed Terra to its bankruptcy, the decision of the Loop Finance team to abandon Terra 2.0 has been made, the new landing will take place on Juno. Personally, I agree with and support the decision not to continue the development of the project on a Terra 2.0 blockchain which by now still retains the mark of the great fall and which will hardly be able to wash away, although the communities that make up it are made up of exceptional users.
Unfortunately, although I understand the huge losses suffered, the hope of recovering one's capital is the only element that will give strength to Terra 2.0. I am sure that at the earliest opportunity, those who can liquidate their positions will not wait a second time.
However, these months of hard work by the team have been very precious because they have allowed us to understand a lot of aspects that otherwise would not have emerged in any other way. The migration to Juno will therefore make it possible to make some substantial changes such as excess liquidity.
Rewarding pools and staking with high APYs, although it may be an initial draw for investors, over time and in the absence of a real utility, is just money to download to the market. I listened to the last two AMAs of the team and they really discussed wanting to slightly review all the reward percentages for pools and staking. We think of LOOP as a precious asset, we do not necessarily have to distribute it in large quantities to make us but I prefer small drops but of great value. In fact, we have seen how the high emission did not benefit on the value!
I am also happy that the monthly airdrops will be canceled, although I myself regularly received an important number of LOOPs, the problem arises from the fact that many users downloaded it on the market, disinterested in the project but only in obtaining LUNA or UST (up to a weeks ago). The LOOPR token will be excluded on JUNO, another choice that I share because having two tokens is always a problem and with the elimination of the airdrops, there is no longer any use! Bye Bye LOOPR!
How to reward authors?
Loop Finance was born as a community where users share their articles on the many projects in circulation! The elimination of LOOPR and airdrops could discourage you from producing content: what incentives then offer to users?
We have learned from the past, spammers are around the corner. So there are some solutions that I propose:
Rewards of curators: all users are free to send rewards in LOOP, held in their wallet (no account), and then purchased on the market or received as prizes, and reward the authors spontaneously.
Loop Power: Block LOOP in staking, each vote is proportional to the number of LPs (Loop Power) for example 1 LOOP every 5k LP, for a maximum of votes per day depending on the rank (Whales 10 votes, Hodlr 8 votes, etc) . In addition, the healers will also receive a reward, for example 0.5 LOOP received for 1 LOOP donated through LP. The incentive to increase LP is therefore high!
Weekly contests: in the last AMA the possibility of continuing with contests and sizes was mentioned.
All of this must incentivize users to produce excellent content. With a lower emission and a more contained supply (details will come soon), the NFT market, DEX and much more, the current value of LOOP will be just a bad memory!
Dopo due settimane difficili per tutti gli avvenimenti negativi che hanno spinto Terra al suo fallimento, la decisione del team di Loop Finance di abbandonare Terra 2.0 è stata presa, il nuovo approdo avverrà su Juno. Personalmente io condivido e supporto la decisione di non proseguire lo sviluppo del progetto su una blockchain Terra 2.0 che oramai conserva ancora il marchio della grande caduta e che difficilmente riuscirà a lavare via, sebbene le comunità che la costituiscono è fatta di utenti eccezionali.
Purtroppo, seppur comprendo le ingenti perdite subite, la speranza di recuperare il proprio capitale è l'unico elemento che darà forza a Terra 2.0. sono certo che alla prima occasione utile, chi potrà liquidare le proprie posizioni non attenderà un secondo momento.
Questi mesi di duro lavoro da parte del team però sono stati molto preziosi perché hanno permesso di comprendere molto aspetti che altrimenti non sarebbero emersi in altro modo. La migrazione a Juno permetterà quindi di apporre alcune modifiche sostanziali come l'eccesso di liquidità.
Premiare pool e staking con APY elevati, sebbene possa essere un'iniziale attrazione per gli investitori, nel corso del tempo e in mancanza di un'utilità reale, è solo moneta da scaricare sul mercato. Ho ascoltato gli ultimi due AMA del team e hanno proprio discusso di voler un pò rivedere tutte le percentuali di ricompense per le pool e staking. Pensiamo a LOOP come ad un bene prezioso, non dobbiamo necessariamente distribuirlo in grande quantità per farci ma a io preferisco a piccole gocce ma di grande valore. Abbiamo visto infatti come l'elevata emissione non ha beneficiato sul valore!
Sono inoltre contento che gli airdrop mensili saranno cancellati, sebbene io stesso ricevessi regolarmente un numero importante di LOOP, il problema nasce dal fatto che molti utenti lo scaricavano sul mercato, disinteressati al progetto ma solo ad ottenere LUNA o UST (fino ad un aio di settimane fa). Il token LOOPR sarà escluso su JUNO, un'altra scelta che condivido perchè avere due token è sempre un problema e con l'eliminazione degli airdrop, non vi è più alcuna utilità! Bye Bye LOOPR!
Come premiare gli autori?
Loop Finance nasce come una community in cui gli utenti condividono i proprio articoli sui tanti progetti in circolazione! L'eliminazione di LOOPR e degli airdrops potrebbe scoraggiare dal produrre contenuti: quali incentivi dunque offrire agli utenti?
Abbiamo imparato dal passato, gli spammers sono dietro l'angolo. Per cui ci sono alcune soluzioni che propongo:
Rewards degli curatori: tutti gli utenti sono liberi di inviare rewards in LOOP, detenuti nel proprio wallet (no account), e quindi acquistati sul mercato o ricevuti come premi, e premiare gli autori spontaneamente.
Loop Power: Bloccare LOOP in staking, ogni voto è proporzionale al numero di LP (Loop Power) ad esempio 1 LOOP ogni 5k LP, per un massimo di voti giornaliero variabile a seconda del rank (Whales 10 voti, Hodlr 8 voti, etc). Inoltre anche i curatori riceveranno una ricompensa, ad esempio 0.5 LOOP ricevuto per 1 LOOP donato attraverso LP. L'incentivo ad aumentare LP è quindi elevato!
Contest settimanali: nell'ultimo AMA si è accennato alla possibilità di continuare con i contest e le taglie.
Tutto ciò deve incentivare gli utenti a produrre contenuti eccellenti. Con una minore emissione ed una supply più contenuta (dettagli arriveranno presto), il mercato NFT, DEX e tanto altro, il valore attuale di LOOP sarà soltanto un brutto ricordo!
