Furthermore, the transparency of this technology would avoid further delays due to the falsification of documents and therefore to legal actions that usually last for years. In che modo la blockchain potrà aiutare il raggiungimento degli OSS?
- Trasparenza: tra i più grandi problemi vi è sicuramente la corruzione che ogni anno sottrai fondi, informazioni e manipola le procedure attuate per il raggiungimento degli obiettivi. La blockchain è un registro digitale condiviso e trasparente, poichè tutte le informazioni sono registrate sulla catena e salvate in tutti i pc degli utenti. Tutti le informazioni ad esempio relative agli alimenti sarebbero facilmente identificati garantendo le informazioni essenziali come la quantità utilizzata, la qualità e l’origine del materiale.
- Riduzione della burocrazia: altra nota dolente e causa di moltissimi ritardi in qualsiasi settore, nonchè costi economici. La blockchain garantirebbe un'efficienza della gestione delle informazioni, ottimizzando la ricerca e la velocità nel reperire i dati. Inoltre, la trasparenza di questa tecnologia, eviterebbe ulteriori ritardi dovuti alla falsificazione dei documenti e quindi ad azioni legali che solitamente hanno una durata di anni. Meno burocrati, più blockchain, più efficienza. Per questo motivo molto governi si manifestano scettici dell'adozione.
- Corruzione dello Stato: La tecnologia Blockchain, che si configura come una rete decentralizzata con strutture di dati distribuite e trasparenti, consente a un gruppo disparato di attori di rete di scambiare quasi in tempo reale i dati in modo relativamente semplice e da qualsiasi parte del mondo, sostituendo i tradizionali server di dati centralizzati con un registro distribuito, in modo che il controllo delle transazioni possa essere automatizzato e non più inquinato, come spesso accade, da attori diretti ed interessati al mero profitto, piuttosto che al bene comune.

Se io non fossi stato abbastanza chiaro, la blockchain è probabilmente l'unica grande arma che abbiamo per combattere non solo la corruzione ma per salvaguardare la nostra stessa vita. Il mero profitto non ci consentirà di sopravvivere nel lungo termine, non potremo cibarci di denaro ma abbiamo bisogno di gestire al meglio tutte le risorse disponibili poichè il nostro pianeta è grande ma la popolazione cresce sempre più e con il passare del tempo non riuscirà più a garantire la nostra sopravvivenza.
