🛡️ Splinterlands Battle Journal (Aug 3, 2025) ⚔️
In this post, I’m recording my Splinterlands battle journal for the week of August 3–9.
Originally, I planned to do 3–5 battles per day, but it turned out I could do way more—LOL.
I guess it's because I'm still pumped about this game! I'm just starting out, and I’m eager to keep battling to understand:
- 🔄 How the battle rulesets work
- 🧱 How well (or badly 😅) my builds perform
🧙♂️ The Power of the Summoner
One thing I'm learning quickly:
Picking the right summoner is crucial.
The skills they bring can make or break your build.
💥 Battle Ruleset Highlight: BLAZING BLASTS!
🧨 Battle Rule: All units’ attacks deal Blast damage to adjacent enemies.
That meant one thing: prepare to soak up splash damage.
So I built a lineup designed to absorb the Blast while preserving my heavy hitters.
🎯 The "Sacrificial Lambs" Lineup
💡 Strategy: Use low-mana, high-HP monsters to act as a shield.
💀 Sacrificial Frontliners:
- 🛡️ Conclave Artificer (Gnome) –
4 mana
- 🧠 Halfshell Seer (Tortisian) –
4 mana
- 🐎 Thunderhoof Nomad (Fey) –
3 mana
➡️ Total: 11 mana
➡️ Remaining: 17 mana
for my summoner + DPS units
🧝♀️ Summoner Pick: Kaylia Silverleaf 🌿
- 🪄 Mana Cost: 4
- ⚔️ Ability – Execute:
Grants monsters a bonus attack when enemies are down to 2 HP or less
Perfect for finishing off weakened enemies 🔪
🔫 The Backline Hitman: Silverleaf Warlock
- 💥 Ranged Damage: 2
- 🏹 Position: Backline (safe from direct hits)
- 🛡️ Protected by sacrificial units
This unit does most of the damage while staying protected!
🧱 The Unbreakable Wall: Silverblade Fighter
- 🛡️ Armor: 6
- ❤️ Health: 5
- 🚫 No need for healing or support!
A true tank to soak up initial hits and anchor the defense line.
🔍 Here's How the Battle Went
When I first saw my opponent’s lineup, I realized they were focusing on high-armor and high-HP monsters. That likely meant they used up a lot of mana to summon those powerful units.
At first, I had some doubts. Their lineup looked strong and intimidating. But as the battle progressed, I started to see my strategy take shape. My plan to summon more monsters and focus on two key roles—Silverblade Fighter as the damage absorber, and Silverleaf Warlock as the hitman—began to pay off by the middle of the match.
I was honestly amazed by Silverblade Fighter's durability—he stood strong against three frontline enemies all the way to the end! Even after I lost two of my sacrificial monsters, he held his ground, continuing to protect the rest of my lineup.
The highlight? I was absolutely ecstatic when Silverleaf Warlock delivered the final blow to my opponent’s last monster.
🎉 Victory was mine!
🔚 Final Thoughts
With this setup:
- My frontliners absorbed all the Blast damage
- My tank held the front with solid defense
- And my hitman dished out damage from behind
This battle taught me a lot about:
- 🔄 Resource management (mana)
- 🎯 Lineup synergy
- 🧠 Strategic placement
This week’s battles have been an exciting learning experience as I continue to explore strategies and understand the game's mechanics. Each match teaches me something new about lineup synergy, resource management, and timing. I’m looking forward to refining my tactics and sharing even more intense battles in the weeks to come!
