As a man thinks, so he is. I could end the article here and believe you've gotten the entire message I intend to pass. Life revolves around our thoughts, yet, it's almost impossible sometimes to control what we think. What helps sometimes is shifting our attention to something more meaningful or positive. If we think we are big, then indeed we are big, if we think we are small, then we are small, because our body acts in accordance with what has occupied the mind.
I read a book sometime ago titled "the law of attraction" , I didn't understand the principle then because I was young and probably had little experience with life. After some years, I found the book in my dad's shelf and read it once again, this time it was clearer because I had understood the interplay between the world and our mind. To help deal with depression, bad mood, overthinking, anxiety, and stress, we need to change focus on what we think about too often.
The vicissitudes of life sometimes could make our faith cold toward believing in the future. Yes, it does affect everyone, we look at the road and all we see are impossibilities littered on the pathway and we wonder if there's ever going to be light at the end of the tunnel. A story is told of a teacher who asked his students to make a sentence, which if he remembers could make him sad when he is happy and make him happy when he is sad. After a few minutes of thinking a student answered him with this sentence "THIS MOMENT WILL SOON PASS". So whenever the teacher is happy, he remembers this sentence and realizes the moment is just for a while and when he is sad and remembers this statement, he smiles knowing the moment will soon pass.
Nothing lasts forever, no matter how critical it is. If we can understand this truth, it will help us live every moment right.
