Hello Whales...
It's your Boy Eusy-Kidd, today I’d like to share my character design idea for Splinterlands. I’ve named him Balrek
, and he’s a Legendary Neutral Card. Originally, I envisioned him as a Fire Unit, but I later decided it would be more intriguing to portray him as a villain, similar to the Akatsuki from Naruto—a group of rebels from various countries.
Lore of Balrek
Once known as Ruji, Balrek hailed from the Fire Country, where he lived a life of peace until the devastating war engulfed Splinterlands. One fateful night, he witnessed the brutal murder of his family at the hands of warring factions. This traumatic event ignited a fierce rage within him and transformed his grief into a relentless vow: he would stop at nothing to eradicate those responsible for the chaos that had shattered his life.
Driven by his desire for vengeance, Ruji began to forge alliances with others who had suffered similar losses across the Splinterlands. He gathered a diverse group of rebels, each representing different nations and backgrounds, united by a shared goal—to dismantle the corrupt powers that perpetuated the war. As their leader, Ruji took on the name Balrek, symbolizing his transformation from a victim into a formidable force.
With his new identity, Balrek became a master strategist and a cunning manipulator, orchestrating strikes against enemy strongholds and rallying those disillusioned by the ongoing conflict. His once noble intentions began to blur, as the desire for revenge overshadowed his quest for justice. Now, as a Legendary Neutral Card, Balrek embodies the complexities of morality in a world torn apart by war—an avenger seeking redemption through destruction, forever marked by the flames of his past.
