Cheap Cards but useful in battle: Focus on Uraeus
The post I am publishing today is the second in a series of posts that I would like to continue to write with some regularity and which will have as their main topic the analysis and evaluation of a card that I consider "cheap but useful in battle."
What cards are cheap but useful in battle?
The battle usefulness of a card is not the same for all players and depends on several elements such as the league you play in, the summoner card you use, ...

In my personal evaluation, a useful card in battle to also be cheap must have the following characteristics:
- a cost per single card of less than $0.2 (Low Buy)
- a cost per BCX of less than $0.2
- a cost to take the card to the maximum level less than or equal to $10
- play well in multiple situations (battle rules).
- can be useful for getting more Reward Points because they can be used in more Daily Focuses
In each of my posts in the "cheap but useful in battle" series:
- I will choose a card that meets the characteristics I listed earlier
- I will explain the reasons why I chose that card
- if I do not have the card in my collection I will purchase it at the highest level
- if I have the card in my collection I will upgrade it to the highest level
- I will show one or more battles in which I used the card.

The protagonist of this post of mine is instead a card of the neutral element: Uraeus.
Uraeus
Uraeus is an epic card from the Chaos Legion Rewards edition and is available in two versions: Regular and Gold.
Like all Rewards cards, it cannot be found within card packs and there are only two ways to obtain it:
- purchase from the marketplace
- within a chest (=daily or end-of-season reward).
Game Statistics and Abilities
In the following image you can see Uraeus's game statistics and abilities for each of his levels.
Uraeus has two main strengths:
- it has a low mana cost: 3 points.
- has two good abilities:
- Sneak (level 1+)
- Poison (level 4+)
The main point of weakness is the low number of life points:
- min 2 life points (levels 1 and 2)
- max 4 life points (levels 5 and 6)
Market Value and Cost per Level
Uraeus is one of the cheapest cards of the Neutral element and in fact is in seventh position for lowest cost per BCX (source https://peakmonsters.com/market) after Gargoya Lion, Gargoya Devil, Scavo Hireling, Disintegrator, Supply Runner and Chaos Agent.
To quickly and compactly display the cost per level of a Splinterlands card I always use the Bulk Buy tool from Peakmonsters located within the Buy section (View Mode: LIST).
As you can see from the screenshot below, Uraeus has a cost per level that starts at $0.142 (level 1) and goes up to $6,684 (level 6 = 46 BCX).
Uraeus is thus a cheap card but is it also a useful card in battle?
Let's find out together ;)
Battle utility rating of Eraeus (league by league)
To get an immediate view of the cost of a card I use Peakmonsters while to get a compact view of the game stats of a Splinterlands card based on the maximum usable level in each game league I use the Cards by League Cap tool at https://www.splintercards.com/tool-cards-league-cap.html
Novice and Bronze leagues
In the Novice league you can use Uraeus of level 1.
Uraeus (level 1) is not very useful in battle because:
- has only one point of attack
- it has a low speed (2).
Uraeus thanks to the Sneak ability will attack the card in the last position but this ability could be a problem if the opponent has placed a card with the Shield ability such as Lobstradamus or Naga Fire Wizard in the last position because in this unfavorable situation its attack will basically always be null.
The situation improves in Bronze league if you use Uraeus of level 2 which has two attack points instead of one because in the same previous game situation Uraeus will have a reduced attack strength but at least it will be able to subtract one life point for each of its attacks that are successful.
With only 2 life points Uraneus of level 1 and 2 is a fragile card because it is exposed to attacks from cards that have the Opportunity ability such as Deeplurker and Dragon Jumper that decrease Uraneus' chances of survival to a few rounds of play.
Uraneus also becomes very fragile when attacking cards that have the Thorns ability, so it is best not to deploy Uraneus when the opponent frequently uses the Mylor Crowling summoner.
Again because of low life points, it is inadvisable to use Uraneus in battle when the rules are: NOXIOUS FUMES, EARTHQUAKE and EQUAL OPPORTUNITY.
Very favorable battle rules for using level 1-2 Uraeus are in my opinion: Equalizer, Little League and Armored Up.
The Reverse Speed battle rule is also favorable for using Uraeus in battle because it increases the chances of avoiding an attack.
In fact, due to the effect of the Reverse Speed rule, a two-point speed becomes equal to a five-point speed in a standard battle.
Silver Leagues
Those who play in the Silver Leagues can use Uraeus of level 4 which becomes a less fragile card than level 2 because:
- increases the number of life points (2-->3).
- increases the number of speed points (2-->3).
Gold League
Those who play in gold leagues can use Uraeus of level 5.
With 4 life points and 4 speed points Uraeus of level 5 becomes a much more useful and less fragile card than the level that can be used in Silver leagues.
It is, however, the acquisition of the Poison ability that increases and by a great deal the battle utility of Uraeus, which starting at level 5 will have a 50% chance for each of his attacks to "poison" the opposing card he hits, which once poisoned will lose two life points at the end of each round of play.
Diamond+ Leagues
In the Diamond and Champion leagues, you can use the maximum level summoner and monster cards and then you can use Uraeus of maximum level (6th level).
Same stats and abilities as level 5 but the attack strength increases and Uraeus acquires a total of 3 attack points.
Combos: More power to Uraeus
There are card combinations (Combos) that allow to improve the game statistics and consequently the battle utility of Uraeus.
The advantage of having a neutral card is mainly that you can use it with all summoners.
The summoners that allow you to increase the attack points of Uraeus are:
- Daria Dragonscale (usable only in Wild Format).
- Archmage Arius (usable only in the Wild Format)
- Malric Inferno (usable only in the Wild Format)
- Tarsa (usable in the Wild Format and Modern Format)
In addition to the 4 summoners I listed above there are also monster cards that can increase Uraeus' attack points and these are all cards that have the Inspire ability.
Excluding the Gladius cards that are only usable in Brawls there are a total of 14 cards that have the inspire ability.
Final Evaluation
Out of a total of 33 rulesets:
- 3 rulesets are particularly unfavorable to using Uraeus
- 4 rulesets are particularly advantageous
- 4 rulsets impede its use in battle.
This means that Uraeus can be used without particular drawbacks in 26 out of 33 rulesets and is therefore a card that can be used very frequently and this is a first element that shows a card's usefulness in battle.
In addition, Uraeus is a neutral card and this detail increases even more its usefulness and possibility of use in battle.
The great advantage of Euraeus is the cost in mana of only 3 points makes Uraneus a valid choice whenever the battle has a low total amount of usable mana.
It is a valid choice particularly when the battle rule is Little League.
After doing all the evaluations and considerations I have shown you in this post, I have come to the conclusion that Uraneus is a cheap card but it is also useful in battle and so I can proceed immediately to step 2: take my Uraeus card to the maximum level.
In my collection I have:
- 1 level 4 Uraeus card (20 BCX)
- 1 level 1 Uraeus card (1 BCX).
To have Uraeus of level 6 I need to purchase 25 BCX.
I chose to use the https://monstermarket.io/ market to have a cashback of 118,169 DEC and purchased 25 level 1 Uraeus cards and spent a total of 5969,087 DEC (6087,256-118,169).
I combined 27 cards (= 46 BCX) and the result was level 6 Uraeus.
Two battles with Uraeus
Although I now have level 6 Uraeus in my collection I can currently only use him up to level 5 because I am currently playing in Gold League II.
I generally finish the season in Diamond III league and therefore I will only be able to use Uraeus at the highest level the last few days of the season.
Before concluding the writing of this post, I decided to share two battles in which I used Uraeus of level 5:
- one battle with unfavorable ruleset for Uraeus: Noxious Fumes
- one battle with ruleset favorable for Uraeus: Little League
First Battle with unfavorable Ruleset for Uraeus: Noxious Fumes
In the first battle I intentionally deployed Uraeus in a battle with an unfavorable ruleset (Noxious Fumes) and did so for an educational purpose only.
When the battle rule is Noxious Fumes I try to preferably field:
- cards that have the Immune ability.
- cards that have the Heal ability.
- cards that have a good number of life points.
And it is evident that Uraeus has none of these three characteristics.
My strategy
I deployed in first position Creeping Ooze simply as an "expendable" card with the purpose of allowing Harklaw (in second position) to avoid a first attack, a very likely attack due to Harklaw's low speed.
In second position I put Harklaw because:
- it has the Immune ability (neutralizes the effects of Noxious Fumes)
- has the Shield ability (halves the damage taken by melee attacks)
- has the Demoralize ability that decreases the melee attack of opposing cards by 1 unit.
The Shield and Demoralize abilities are often very useful when the battle rule is Melee Mayhem because I have noticed that most players field cards with melee attack when there is this battle rule.
In third and fourth positions I put Haunted Spirit and Gold Dragon which both have the Heal ability and can heal themselves and recover two life points in each round of the battle.
In fifth position I put Uraeus which is the least suitable card for this battle because of the few life points it has but it is still interesting to see how it will perform in the battle ;)
In last position I put Cursed Windeku which has the Heal ability, which is useful to neutralize the effects of Noxious Fumes, and has the Thorns ability which, as I explained before, could be very useful when the battle rule is Meele Mayhem because Cursed Windeku will counterattack cards with melee attack it.
As a summoner I chose Daria Dragonscale because it has the ability to increase the attack of my melee attack cards that are 5/6 of my battle formation by one unit.
My opponent fields all cards with melee attack and that is exactly what I was hoping for because:
- my Harklaw will always suffer a halved attack and at the same time it can decrease the attack points of all 6 of my opponent's cards.
- my Cursed Windeku will be able to counterattack many times because the probability of suffering attacks is high...
Launching the first attack is Uraeus who is the card with the highest number of speed points in battle.
The Thorns ability of Cursed Windeku proves very useful because it eliminates Damphir Infiltrator before Round 1 ends.
At the beginning of the Second Round the negative effects of the Noxious Fumes rule manifest themselves for the first time: all cards lose two life points except my Harklaw card, which has the Immune ability.
In the second round Uraeus attacks second and eliminates the opposing card Hill Giant but having only two life points has has seconds counted...
At the beginning of Third Round Uraeus is eliminated by the ruleset Noxious Fumes without suffering an attack from the opponent cards.
I achieved my goal: show how a useful card in battle like level 5 Uraeus can be a poor choice in the presence of a given battle rule.
Uraeus was a card lasted only two Rounds of the battle but it was still a useful card in battle because in two rounds it subtracted a total of 6 points from the opposing Hill Giant card.
In Round 3, after the third round of Poison, my opponent is left with only two cards and a lower life point total than mine and the battle ends with a victory for me.
Even though I won the battle I would have made a certainly better strategic starting choice if I had put in place of Uraeus a card with the Triage ability for example.
Second Battle with Ruleset favorable to Uraeus: Little League.
The Little League ruleset is one of the rulesets favorable to the use of Uraeus because without cards that have a mana cost greater than 4 points Uraeus level 5 is one of the strongest cards in Gold leagues and especially when used in combination with a summoner that increases melee attack points.
The following battle has just the Little Ligue battle rule in conjunction with the Explosive Weaponry rule.
In this battlegame I decide to bet on cards that have the Melee Attack with the exception of Merdaali Guardian which has no attack but does have:
- the Repair ability to restore Cruel Sethropod's armor points to first position
- the Tank Heal ability to restore Cruel Sethropod's life points to the first position.
My opponent chooses the summoner that confers the Divine Shield ability and goes for a more varied battle formation:
- 2 cards with magic attack
- 3 cards with melee attack
- 1 card without attack with the Protect skill (+2 armor points to all friendly cards)
I choose to place Uraeus in third position while in the middle I put Damphir Infiltrator which is the most dangerous card in my lineup and which, for that reason, I want to try to protect.
In last position I put Pecalor Bandit which although it has no armor points has high speed and therefore has a high probability of avoiding one or more attacks.
At the beginning of Round 2 my opponent has lost two out of six cards while I still have all the cards in play.
The battle ends before Round 2 with a win from me and Uraeus was very useful in the battle although the star of the battle was Damphir Infiltrator of level 7 which thanks to the Double Strike ability was the card that took the most life from my opponent.

Secondo il mio personale giudizio una carta utile in battaglia per essere anche economica deve avere le seguenti caratteristiche:
- un costo per singola carta inferiore a 0.2$ (Low Buy)
- un costo per BCX inferiore a 0.2$
- un costo per portare la carta al massimo livello inferiore o uguale a 10$
- giocano bene in più situazioni (battle rules)
- possono essere utili per ottenere un maggior numero di Reward Points perchè utilizzabili in più Daily Focuses
In ogni mio post della serie "economiche ma utili in battaglia":
- sceglierò una carta che soddisfa le caratteristiche che ho elencato prima
- spiegherò i motivi per cui ho scelto quella carta
- se non ho la carta nella mia collezione l'acquisterò al massimo livello
- se ho la carta nella mia collezione la potenzierò al massimo livello
- mostrerò una o più battaglie in cui ho utilizzato la carta.

La protagonista di questo mio post è invece una carta dell'elemento neutrale: Uraeus.
Uraeus
Uraeus è una carta epica dell'edizione Chaos Legion Rewards ed è disponibile in due versioni: Regular e Gold.
Come tutte le carte Rewards non è trovabile all'interno dei pacchi di carte e i modi per ottenerla sono solo due:
- acquisto dal mercato
- all'interno di un forziere (=ricompensa giornaliera o di fine stagione)
Statistiche di gioco e Abilità
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le statistiche di gioco e le abilità di Uraeus per ogni suo livello.
Uraeus ha due punti principali di forza:
- ha un costo in mana basso: 3 punti
- ha due ottime abilità:
- Sneak (livello 1+)
- Poison (livello 4+)
Il principale punto di debolezza è il basso numero di punti vita:
- min. 2 punti vita (livelli 1 e 2)
- max 4 punti vita (livelli 5 e 6)
Valore di Mercato e Costo per Livello
Uraeus è una delle carte più economiche dell'elemento Neutrale e infatti è in settima posizione per minore costo per BCX (fonte https://peakmonsters.com/market) dopo Gargoya Lion, Gargoya Devil, Scavo Hireling, Disintegrator, Supply Runner e Chaos Agent.
Per visualizzare in modo veloce e compatto il costo per livello di una carta di Splinterlands utilizzo sempre lo strumento Bulk Buy di Peakmonsters che si trova all'interno della sezione Buy (View Mode: LIST).
Come puoi vedere dallo screenshot seguente, Uraeus ha un costo per livello che parte da 0.142$ (livello 1) e arriva a 6.684$ (livello 6 = 46 BCX).
Uraeus è quindi una carta economica ma è anche una carta utile in battaglia?

Valutazione dell'utilità in battaglia di Eraeus (lega per lega)
Per avere una visione immediata del costo di una carta utilizzo Peakmonsters mentre per avere una visione compatta delle statistiche di gioco di una carta di Splinterlands in base al livello massimo utilizzabile in ogni lega di gioco utilizzo il tool Cards by League Cap del sito https://www.splintercards.com/tool-cards-league-cap.html
Novice and Bronze leagues
Nella lega Novice è possibile utilizzare Uraeus di livello 1.
Uraeus di livello 1 non è molto utile in battaglia perchè:
- ha un solo punto di attacco
- ha una velocità bassa (2).
Uraeus grazie all'abilità Sneak attaccherà la carta in ultima posizione ma questa abilità potrebbe essere un problema se l'avversario ha messo in ultima posizione una carta con l'abilità Shield come ad esempio Lobstradamus o Naga Fire Wizard perchè in questa sfavorevole situazione il suo attacco sarà in pratica sempre nullo.
La situazione migliora in lega Bronze se si utilizza Uraeus di livello 2 che ha due punti di attacco invece che uno perchè nella medesima situazione di gioco precedente Uraeus avrà una forza di attacco ridotta ma almeno sarà in grado di sottrarre un punto vita per ogni suo attacco andato a segno.
Con soli 2 punti vita Uraeus di livello 1 e 2 è una carta fragile perchè è esposta agli attacchi delle carte che hanno l'abilità Opportunity come ad esempio Deeplurker e Dragon Jumper che fanno diminuire le probabilità di sopravvivenza di Uraneus a pochi round di gioco.
Uraneus diventa molto fragile anche quando attacca carte che hanno l'abilità Thorns e quindi è meglio non schierare Uraneus quando l'avversario usa di frequente l'evocatore Mylor Crowling.
Sempre a causa dei pochi punti vita è sconsigliabile utilizzare Uraeus in battaglia quando le regole sono: NOXIOUS FUMES, EARTHQUAKE e EQUAL OPPORTUNITY.
Le regole di battaglia molto favorevoli all'utilizzo di Uraeus di livello 1-2 sono secondo me: Equalizer, Little League e Armored Up.
Anche la regola di battaglia Reverse Speed è favorevole all'utilizzo in battaglia di Uraeus perchè incrementa le probabilità di evitare un attacco.
Infatti per effetto della regola Reverse Speed una velocità di due punti diventa uguale ad una velocità di 5 punti in una battaglia standard.
Silver Leagues
Chi gioca nelle leghe Silver può utilizzaare Uraeus di livello 4 che diventa una carta meno fragile rispetto al livello 2 perchè:
- aumenta il numero di punti di vita (2-->3).
- aumenta il numero di punti velocità (2-->3).
Gold League
Chi gioca nelle leghe gold può utilizzare Uraeus di livello 5.
Con 4 punti vita e 4 punti velocità Uraeus di livello 5 diventa una carta molto più utile e meno fragile rispetto al livello utilizzabile nelle leghe Silver.
E' però l'acquisizione dell'abilità Poison ad aumentare e di molto l'utilità in battaglia di Uraeus che a partire dal livello 5 avrà una probabilità del 50% per ogni suo attacco di "avvelenare" la carta avversaria da lui colpita che una volta avvelenata perderà due punti vita alla fine di ogni round di gioco.
Diamond+ Leagues
Nelle leghe Diamond e Champion è possibile utilizzare le carte evocatore e le carte mostro di massimo livello e quindi è possibile utilizzare Uraeus di livello massimo (6° livello).
Stesse statistiche e abilità del livello 5 ma la forza di attacco aumenta e Uraeus acquisisce un totale di 3 punti attacco.
Combos: More power to Uraeus
Ci sono delle combinazioni di carte (Combos) che permettono di migliorare le statistiche di gioco e di conseguenza l'utilità in battaglia di Uraeus.
Il vantaggio di avere una carta neutrale è principalmente quello di poterla utilizzare con tutti gli evocatori.
Gli evocatori che permettono di aumentare i punti di attacco di Dhanpir Infiltrator sono:
- Daria Dragonscale (utilizzabile solo nel Wild Format)
- Archmage Arius (utilizzabile solo nel Wild Format)
- Malric Inferno (utilizzabile solo nel Wild Format)
- Tarsa (utilizzabile nel Wild Format e nel Modern Format)
Oltre ai 4 evocatori che ho elencato sopra ci sono anche delle carte mostro che possono aumentare i punti di attacco di Uraeus e sono tutte le carte che hanno l'abilità Inspire.
Escludendo le carte Gladius che sono utilizzabili sono nelle Brawls sono in totale 14 le carte che hanno l'abilità inspire:
Valutazione Finale
Su un totale di 33 Rulesets:
- 3 rulesets sono particolarmente sfavorevoli all'utilizzo di Uraeus
- 4 rulesets sono particolarmente vantaggiose
- 4 rulsets impediscono il suo utilizzo in battaglia.
Questo vuol dire che Uraeus può essere utilizzata senza particolari controindicazioni in 26 rulesets su 33 e quindi è una carta che può essere utilizzata molto frequentemente ed è questo un primo elemento che mostra l'utilità in battaglia di una carta.
Inoltre Uraeus è una carta neutrale e questo particolare aumenta ancora di più la sua utilità e la possibilità di utilizzo in battaglia.
Il grande vantaggio di Euraeus è il costo in mana di solo 3 punti rende Uraneus una valida scelta ogni volta che la battaglia ha un quantitativo totale di mana utilizzabili basso.
E' una valida scelta in particolare quando la regola di battaglia è Little League.
Dopo aver fatto tutte le valutazioni e considerazioni che ti ho mostrato in questo post sono arrivato alla conclusione che Uraeus è una carta economica ma è anche utile in battaglia e quindi posso procedere subito alla fase 2: portare la mia carta Uraeus al massimo livello.
Nella mia collezione ho:
- 1 carta Uraeus di livello 4 (20 BCX)
- 1 carta Uraeus di livello 1 (1 BCX)
Per avere Uraeus di livello 6 devo acquistare 25 BCX.
Ho scelto di utilizzare il market di https://monstermarket.io/ per avere un cashback di 118.169 DEC e ho acquistato 25 carte Uraeus di livello 1 e ho speso in totale 5969.087 DEC (6087.256-118.169).
Ho combinato 27 carte (= 46 BCX) e il risultato è stato Uraeus di livello 6.
Due battaglie con Uraeus
Anche se adesso ho nella mia collezione Uraeus di livello 6 posso al momento utilizzarlo solo fino al livello 5 perchè gioco attualmente in lega Gold II.
In genere termino la stagione in lega Diamond III e quindi potrò utilizzare Uraeus al massimo livello solo gli ultimi giorni della stagione.
Prima di concludere la scrittura di questo post ho deciso di condividere due battaglie in cui ho utilizzato Uraeus di livello 5:
- una battaglia con ruleset sfavorevole a Uraeus: Noxious Fumes
- una battaglia con ruleset favorevole a Uraeus: Little League
Prima Battaglia con Ruleset sfavorevole per Uraeus: Noxious Fumes
Nella prima battaglia ho volutamente schierato Uraeus in una battaglia con una condizione sfavorevole (Noxious Fumes) e l'ho fatto per uno scopo esclusivamente didattico.
Quando la regole di battaglia è Noxious Fumes cerco di schierare preferibilmente:
- carte che hanno l'abilità Immune
- carte che hanno l'abilità Heal
- carte che hanno un buon numero di punti vita
Ed è evidente che Uraeus non ha nessuna di queste tre caratteristiche.
La mia strategia
Ho schierato in prima posizione Creeping Ooze semplicemente come carta sacrificabile con lo scopo di permettere ad Harklaw (in seconda posizione) di evitare un primo attacco, attacco molto probabile data la bassa velocità di Harklaw.
In seconda posizione ho messo Harklaw perchè:
- ha l'abilità Immune (neutralizza gli effetti di Noxious Fumes)
- ha l'abilità Shield (dimezza il danno subito da attacchi da mischia)
- ha l'abilità Demoralize che diminuisce l'attacco da mischia delle carte avversarie di 1 unità.
Le abilità Shield e Demoralize sono spesso molto utili quando la regola di battaglia è Melee Mayhem perchè ho notato che la maggior parte dei giocatori schiera carte con attacco da mischia quando c'è questa regola di battaglia.
In terza e quarta posizione ho messo Haunted Spirit e Gold Dragon che hanno entrambe l'abilità Heal e possono curarsi e recuperare due punti vita in ogni round della battaglia.
In quinta posizione ho messo Uraeus che è la carta meno adatta a questa battaglia per i pochi punti vita che ha ma è comunque interessante vedere come affronterà la battaglia ;)
In ultima posizione ho messo Cursed Windeku che ha l'abilità Heal, utile a neutralizzare gli effetti del Noxious Fumes, e ha l'abilità Thorns che, come ho spiegato prima, potrebbe essere molto utile quando la regola di battaglia è Meele Mayhem perchè Cursed Windeku controattaccherà le carte con attacco da mischia l'attaccheranno.
Come evocatore ho scelto Daria Dragonscale perchè ha l'abilità di aumentare di un'unità l'attacco delle mie carte con attacco da mischia che sono 5/6 della mia formazione di battaglia.
Il mio avversario schiera tutte carte con attacco da mischia ed è proprio quello che speravo perchè:
- il mio Harklaw subirà sempre un attacco dimezzato e allo stesso tempo può diminuire i punti di attacco di tutte e 6 le carte del mio avversario.
- il mio Cursed Windeku potrà contrattaccare molte volte perchè è alta la probabilità di subire attacchi...
A sferrare il primo attacco è proprio Uraeus che è la carta con il più alto numero di punti velocità in battaglia.
L'abilità Thorns di Cursed Windeku si dimostra molto utile perchè elimina Damphir Infiltrator prima che finisce il primo Round.
All'inizio del secondo Round si manifestano per la prima volta gli effetti negativi della regola Noxious Fumes: tutte le carte perdono due punti vita tranne la mia carta Harklaw che ha l'abilità Immune.
Nel secondo round Uraeus attacca per secondo ed elimina la carta avversaria Hill Giant ma avendo solo due punti vita ha i secondi contati...
All'inizio del terzo Round Uraeus viene eliminato dalla ruleset Noxious Fumes senza subire un attacco dalle carte avversarie.
Ho raggiunto il mio obiettivo: mostrare come una carta utile in battaglia come Uraeus di livello 5 può essere una scelta sbagliata in presenza di una determinata regola di battaglia.
Uraeus è stata una carta ha resistito solo due Round della battaglia Uraeus è stata comunque utile in battaglia perchè in due round ha sottratto un totale di 6 punti alla carta Hill Giant avversaria.
Nel Round 3, dopo il terzo giro di Poison, il mio avversario rimane con solo due carte e con un totale di punti vita inferiore al mio e la battaglia termina con una mia vittoria.
Anche se ho vinto la battaglia avrei fatto una scelta strategica di partenza certamente migliore se avessi messo al posto di Uraeus una carta con l'abilità Triage ad esempio.
Seconda Battaglia con Ruleset favorevole a Uraeus: Little League
La ruleset Little League è una delle ruleset favorevoli all'utilizzo di Uraeus perchè senza le carte che hanno un costo in mana superiore a 4 punti Uraeus di livello 5 è una delle carte più forti nelle leghe Gold e soprattutto se utilizzata in combinazione con un evocatore che aumenta i punti di attacco da mischia.
La battaglia seguente ha proprio la regola di battaglia Little Ligue insieme alla regola Explosive Weaponry.
In questa battagia decido di puntare su carte che hanno l'attacco da mischia con l'eccezione di Merdaali Guardian che non ha attacco ma ha:
- l'abilità Repair per ripristinare i punti armatura di Cruel Sethropod in prima posizione
- l'abilità Tank Heal per ripristinare i punti vita di Cruel Sethropod in prima posizione
Il mio avversario sceglie l'evocatore che conferisce l'abilità Divine Shield e punta su una formazione di battaglia più variegata:
- 2 carte con attacco magico
- 3 carte con attacco da mischia
- 1 carta senza attacco con l'abilità Protect (+2 punti armatura a tutte le carte amiche)
Scelgo di posizionare Uraeus in terza posizione mentre al centro ho messo Damphir Infiltrator che è la carta più pericolosa nella mia formazione e che, per questo motivo, voglio cercare di proteggere.
In ultima posizione ho messo Pecalor Bandit perchè ha un'alta velocità.
All'inizio del Round 2 il mio avversario ha perso due carte su sei mentre io ho ancora tutte le carte in gioco.
La battaglia termina durante il secondo Round e Uraeus è stata molto utile nella battaglia.
