How to start playing Moon Karts: All Requirements
Moonkarts is a Hive-based arcade race game with nice graphics and good gameplay and considering that it is in Alpha version it is a game that, in my opinion, could have potential.
I have written several posts about Moon Karts and have also received several requests for help in getting started on this game via comments under my posts and via messages on Discord.
For this reason I decided to write this post to show and to explain how to get started playing on this interesting arcade race game with a particular focus on the initial requirements
Moon Karts Requirements
The initial requirements to play Moon Karts are:
- you must have a Hive Account and use Hive Keychain
- you must have a Invennium Account
- you must have at least 1 NFT of type Kart and 1 NFT of type Driver
- if you want to play in multiplayer mode you must have a minimum amount of SCRIPT tokens (Hive Engine token) to produce FUEL (in-game asset)
- if you want to increase in-game rewards in multiplayer mode you must also have a staked amount of COLONY tokens (Hive Engine token)
Hive Account e Hive Keychain
To play Moon Karts you must have:
- a Hive account and use Hive Keychain
- an Invennium account
If you don't have a Hive account you can easily create one in just a few steps.
Some time ago I wrote a short tutorial where I show how to create a Hive account using the free service offered by Hive On Board:

If you don't know or use Hive Keychain I suggest you install it and start using it.
You can read the step-by-step guide I wrote on March 25, 2024 in which I showed steps to follow to do the installation of Hive Keychain as a browser extension and to do the first setup.

Invenium Account
A Hive account is not enough to start playing on Moon Karts because you need to also create and have an Invennium Account.
To create an Invennium Account you need to:
- go to https://moonkarts.arcadecolony.com/
- click on SIGN IN
Then you need to click on Register
Then you need to click on KEYCHAIN
Then you need to:
- enter your Email Address
- enter your Hive Account name
- put a check mark to agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service
- click on KEYCHAIN and authorize the transaction with Hive Keychain
At this point you will receive an email with a verification link to complete your registration.
Once you have completed this procedure you can do your first login at https://moonkarts.arcadecolony.com/:
- first you need to click on SIGN IN
- then you have to enter your Hive Address, click on Hive Keychain and authorize the transaction
At this point you have logged in correctly and can explore all the features on the Moon Karts site.
KART-type NFT and Driver-type NFT
To play on Moon Karts you need to have at least two NFT of different types:
- 1 NFT of type Kart
- 1 NFT of type Driver
You have two options to purchase 1 KART and 1 Pilot NFT:
- you can purchase individual NFT from other players within the MARKET section.
- you can buy CENTAURI packs from the SHOP -> CENTAURI PACKS section as long as you find at least 1 Kart-type NFT and 1 Pilot-type NFT
Each CENTAURI pack contains 5 NFT.
To purchase CENTAURI packs you can use CREDITS or SCRIPT tokens as a payment method.
Today January 27, 2025 it is convenient to use SCRIPT tokens as the payment method.
You can purchase SCRIPT tokens from here: https://hive-engine.com/trade/SCRIPT
Or you can use the SWAP functionality of liquidity pools that have SCRIPT tokens as part of the token pair.
Obviously choose the most convenient method ;)
FUEL, SCRIPT and the staking of NFT to produce FUEL
With 1 Kart and with 1 Driver you can play in the Single Player mode, which is a completely free game mode
To play in the Multiplayer mode you need to have an amount of FUEL which depends on your Kart Preset.
For example, the Kart Preset consisting of 1 NFT Kart of common type (1 Astro Kart) and 1 NFT Pilot of common type (1 LUNA) has a cost of 1.9 FUEL per race in the Multiplayer mode.
My Kart Preset, on the other hand, has a much higher cost in FUEL: 241.25 FUEL per race.
To produce FUEL and to make the claim of FUEL you must use the Auto Vault section.
In the Auto Vault section you can stack the NFT that you do not use in game = they do not constitute your Kart Preset
You can staking 1 NFT for every 2 SCRIPT staked tokens in your possession.
I have 30 SCRIPT staked and I staked 15 NFT to produce FUEL.
In fact, each NFT in addition to the game statistics also has a FUEL POTENTIAL statistic that shows the hourly FUEL production potential.
COLONY tokens, Leaderboards and Requirements in COLONY staked
On Moon Karts, the multiplayer mode allows you to receive in-game rewards that are represented by quantities of COLONY tokens.
The COLONY tokens are also the governance tokens of the Arcade Colony platform.
COLONY tokens are not a requirement to play on Moon Karts but are a requirement to earn higher rewards.
In fact in both leaderboards from the Staking Factor depends on the amount of Estimated Rewards receivable.
The Staking Factor is an important element and depends on the amount of COLONY staked.
On Moon Karts there is a mechanism similar to the SPS boost mechanism on Splinterlands because based on the rating and based on the amount of tokens COLONY staked it is possible to have a Bonus Multiplier.

Come iniziare a giocare su Moon Karts: tutti i requisiti iniziali!
Moonkarts è un arcade race game Hive-based con una bella grafica e una buona giocabilità e considerato che è nella versione Alpha è un gioco che, secondo me, potrebbe avere del potenziale.
Ho scritto diversi post su Moon Karts e ho anche ricevuto diverse richieste di aiuto per iniziare a giocare su questo gioco tramite i commenti sotto i miei post e tramite messaggi su Discord.
Per questo motivo ho deciso di scrivere questo post per mostrare e per spiegare come iniziare a giocare su questo interessante arcade race game con un focus particolare sui requisiti iniziali da soddisfare.
Requisiti per giocare su Moon Karts
I requisiti iniziali per giocare su Moon Karts sono:
- devi avere un Hive Account e utilizzare Hive Keychain
- devi avere un Invennium Account
- devi avere almeno 1 NFT di tipo Kart e 1 NFT di tipo Pilota
- se vuoi giocare nella modalità multiplayer devi avere un minimo quantitativo di token SCRIPT (Hive Engine token) per produrre FUEL (in-game asset)
- se vuoi aumentare le ricompense di gioco nella modalità multiplayer devi avere anche un quantitativo di token COLONY staked (Hive Engine token)
Hive Account e Hive Keychain
Per giocare su Moon Karts devi avere:
- un Hive account e utilizzare Hive Keychain
- un Invennium account
Se non hai un account Hive puoi crearlo facilmente e in pochi passi.
Tempo fa ho scritto un breve tutorial dove mostro come fare per creare un Hive account utilizzando il servizio gratuito offerto da Hive On Board:

Se non conosci o non utilizzi Hive Keychain ti consiglio di installarlo e iniziare ad usarlo.

Invenium Account
Un Hive account non è sufficiente per iniziare a giocare su Moon Karts perchè hai bisogno di creare e avere anche un Invennium Account.
Per creare un Invennium Account devi:
- andare su https://moonkarts.arcadecolony.com/
- cliccare su SIGN IN
Poi devi cliccare su Register
Poi devi cliccare su KEYCHAIN
Poi devi:
- inserire il tuo Email Address
- inserire il tuo Hive Account name
- mettere la spunta per accettare la Privacy Policy e i Terms of Service
- cliccare su KEYCHAIN e autorizzare la transazione con Hive Keychain
A questo punto riceverai una email con un link per la verifica per completare la registrazione.
Ultimata questa procedura potrai fare il tuo primo login su https://moonkarts.arcadecolony.com/:
- prima devi cliccare su SIGN IN
- poi devi inserire il tuo Hive Address, cliccare su Hive Keychain e autorizzare la transazione
A questo punto hai effettuato il Login correttamente e puoi esplorare tutte le funzionalità presenti nel sito di Moon Karts.
NFT di tipo KART e NFT di tipo Pilota
Per giocare su Moon Karts hai bisogno di avere almeno due NFT di tipologia diversa:
- 1 NFT di tipo Kart
- 1 NFT di tipo Pilota
Hai due opzioni per acquistare 1 KART e 1 Pilot NFT:
- puoi acquistare singoli NFT da altri giocatori all'interno della sezione MARKET
- puoi acquistare i CENTAURI packs dalla sezione SHOP -> CENTAURI PACKS fin quando non avrai trovato almeno 1 NFT di tipo Kart e 1 NFT di tipo Pilota
Ogni CENTAURI pack contiene 5 NFT
Per acquistare i CENTAURI packs puoi utilizzare i CREDITS o i token SCRIPT come metodo di pagamento.
Oggi 27 gennaio 2025 conviene utilizzare i token SCRIPT come metodo di pagamento.
Puoi acquistare i token SCRIPT da qui: https://hive-engine.com/trade/SCRIPT
Oppure puoi utilizzare la funzionalità SWAP delle liquidity pools che hanno i token SCRIPT come parte della coppia di token.
Ovviamente scegli il metodo più conveniente ;)
FUEL, SCRIPT e lo staking degli NFT per produrre FUEL
Con 1 Kart e con 1 Pilot puoi giocare nella modalità Single Player che è una modalità di gioco completamente gratuita
Per giocare nella modalità Multiplayer hai bisogno di avere un quantitativo di FUEL che dipende dal tuo Kart Preset.
Ad esempio il Kart Preset composto da 1 NFT Kart di tipo comune (1 Astro Kart) e 1 NFT Pilot di tipo comune (1 Luna) ha un costo di 1.9 FUEL per gara nella modalità Multiplayer.
Il mio Kart Preset ha invece un costo in FUEL molto più alto: 241.25 FUEL per gara.
Per produrre FUEL e per fare il claim del FUEL devi utilizzare la sezione Auto Vault
Nella sezione Auto Vault puoi mettere in staking gli NFT che non utilizzi in gioco = non costituiscono il tuo Kart Preset
Puoi mettere in staking 1 NFT per ogni 2 token SCRIPT staked in tuo possesso.
Io ho 30 SCRIPT staked e ho messo in staking 15 NFT per produrre FUEL.
Infatti ogni NFT oltre alle statistiche di gioco ha anche una statistica FUEL POTENTIAL che mostra il potenziale di produzione di FUEL orario.
I token COLONY, le Leaderboards e i Requisiti in COLONY staked
Su Moon Karts la modalità multiplayer permette di ricevere le ricompense di gioco che sono rappresentate da quantitativi di token COLONY.
I token COLONY sono anche i governance tokens della piattaforma Arcade Colony.
I token COLONY non sono un requisito per giocare su Moon Karts ma sono un requisito per guadagnare ricompense più alte.
Infatti in entrambe le leaderboards dallo Staking Factor dipende il quantitativo di Ricompese stimate ricevibili.
Lo Staking Factor è un elemento importante e dipende dal quantitativo di COLONY staked.
Su Moon Karts c'è un meccanismo simile al meccanismo SPS boost su Splinterlands perchè in base al rating e in base al quantitativo di token COLONY staked è possibile avere un Bonus Multiplier.
