My Hive-based Games Assets Optimization: Soulkeep, Splinterlands and Holozing
I am very interested in Hive based games because Hive is my favorite blockchain project and because there are many Hive games that I like to play regularly every day.
The beauty of Hive based games is that they offer me more opportunities for fun:
- because I enjoy playing them
- because I like to write content related to my gaming activities and strategies in my Hive Blog
- because I like to think about and I like to evaluate possible strategies to achieve the gaming goals I set to reach.
For playable Hive games I follow a very simple basic strategy that can be summarized in the question:
Is this a game I enjoy?
If the answer is yes, I play and try to grow and improve in the game and invest part of my free time and part of my cash to buy NFTs and tokens.
If the answer is no, I maintain a portion of the assets because I like to support Hive-based projects and games but I sell a good portion of the game assets to grow in the games I like most or in which I see more future potential.
As I play different Hive games I also try to do optimization work for the assets (NFTs and tokens) I have available based on my game goals and also based on the time it takes to reach those goals
There are several Hive based games that I really enjoy playing among which are Splinterlands and Soulkeep.

There is also a game that is not playable because it is in Alpha development stage but in which I see a lot of potential because I like the idea behind the game and I have trust in the development team because it consists of Hivers who have a very good reputation on Hive: Holozing
My optimization strategy that I share in this post involves some of my assets from these three games
Splinterlands is my favorite blockchain-based game and it is also the game I have played the most since I have been on Hive.
In fact, I play on Splinterlands since September 2019 and have played more than 36000 ranked battles manually without using bots.
On Splinterlands, the Proposal for the early release of the new set of cards is underway.
If the proposal passes (very likely) in May 2024 the new set of cards should be released and the Chaos Legion set will come out of Modern Format.
I voted No for the Draft Proposal and I voted No for the current Proposal because until the problem of the current Wild Format (bots allowed) and Modern Format (bots not allowed) division is not solved, real players like me who only want to play against human players will always have a game limitation for cards coming out of the Modern Format.
This to me is a paradox and voting no is a way to pressure Splinterlands to find a solution to restore game utility (and not value) to the old cards but unfortunately this assessment of mine does not coincide with the assessment of the major SPS stakeholders.
The effect of the probable early release of the new set of cards has already produced effects on my playing strategy on Splinterlands.
I have stopped all purchase offers I had active on cards of the Chaos Legion and Riftwatchers sets because in May I will no longer be able to use them in battle.
There are three options for me to choose from:
- sell all my Chaos Legion cards and then use the DEC earned to buy Rebellion and Arcane Conclave cards when they are released
- keep all my Chaos Legion cards hoping that Splinterlands will find a solution for the old cards before the new set is released
- implement a strategy somewhere in between the previous two
I haven't decided what to do yet but I have 167K DEC liquid in my Splinterlands in-game wallet that I will most likely not use until the new card set will be released, and I may use at least part of this amount to progress faster in other games or to purchase other assets.
I have also made a similar reasoning on Soulkeep.
I enjoy playing on Soulkeep even though I don't always have the free time to do so.
Since I have advanced league 3 I have improved my game results and my daily rewards have also improved.
On Soulkeep I like playing but I am not planning to buy Soul Boxes and before I advance to league 4 it will probably take about a month.
Because there is a cap on the level of Towers in League 3 and my favorite towers already have the maximum usable level in League 3, I do not need to open the 46 NIGHTMARE packs that I have not yet opened.
By the way, the value of NIGHTMARE packs on Hive Engine is trending downward and may continue to decline.
In this case I could sell my 46 NIGHTMARE packs now to buy them back at a probably lower price when and if I need them to upgrade my towers.
So:
- I have 167K DEC that I will not use until May.
- I have 46 NIGHTMARE packs that I will not open until at least 30 days.
Instead, I have a purchase goal that I would like to achieve as soon as possible: purchase 10 Holozing Alpha Vials.
I have already purchased 5 Alpha Vials
In order to reach my purchase goal I need to purchase 5 more Alpha Vials and the sooner the better because each day 99K ZING are distributed to Alpha Vials owners based on the total number of Alpha Vials sold and as the number of Alpha Vials sold increases the daily gain in ZING tokens per Alpha Vials purchased will decrease.
At the time of writing this post the Alpha Vials sold are 575 and each Alpha Vials allows to make the claim of 172.17 ZING per day.
With 5 Alpha Vials I have a potential gain of 860 ZING per day while with 10 Alpha Vials I would have a gain of 1721 ZING per day.
My strategy to buy 5 more Alpha Vials will be a strategy of Game assets Optimizations because:
- I will sell 46 NIGHTMARE packs from which I could make about 184 SWAP.HIVE.
- I will sell 50K DEC from which I can make 219 SWAP.HIVE.
- I will sell 24K ZING because their market value may decrease until the launch of the playable version of Holozing, an event that would add many use cases to the ZING token and thus may increase the value of the token.
In this way I could immediately purchase 5 more Holozing Alpha Vials and in less than 1 month I could recoup the 24K ZING sold and then try to accumulate as many ZINGs as possible before the launch of the playable version of the game.

L'Ottimizzazione dei miei Hive Games Assets: Splinterlands, Soulkeep e Holozing
Sono molto interessato agli Hive based games perchè Hive è il mio progetto blockchain preferito e perchè ci sono molti Hive games a cui mi piace giocare regolarmente ogni giorno.
Il bello degli Hive based games è che mi offrono più occasioni di divertimento:
- perchè mi piace giocarci
- perchè mi piace scrivere contenuti relativi alla mia attività di gioco e alle mie strategie di gioco nel mio Hive Blog
- perchè mi piace pensare e mi piace valutare possibili strategie per raggiungere gli obiettivi di gioco che mi sono posto di raggiungere.
Per gli Hive games giocabili seguo una strategia di base molto semplice che è sintetizzabile nella domanda:
E' un gioco che mi diverte?
Se la risposta è si, gioco e provo a crescere e migliorare nel gioco e investo parte del mio tempo libero e parte della mia liquidità per acquistare NFT e token.
Se la risposta è no, mantengo una parte degli assets perchè mi piace supportare i progetti e i giochi Hive-based ma vendo buona parte degli assets di gioco per crescere nei giochi che mi piacciono di più o in cui vedo maggiore potenziale futuro.
Giocando a diversi Hive games cerco anche di fare un'attività di ottimizzazione per gli assets (NFT e token) che ho a disposizione in base ai miei obiettivi di gioco e anche in base al tempo necessario per raggiungere gli obiettivi che mi sono prefissato di raggiungere.
Ci sono diversi Hive based games a cui mi piace molto giocare tra cui ci sono Splinterlands e Soulkeep.

C'è anche un gioco non giocabile perchè è in fase di sviluppo Alpha ma in cui vedo molto potenziale perchè mi piace l'idea alla base del gioco e ho fiducia nel team di sviluppo perchè è composto da Hiver che hanno una ottima reputazione su Hive: Holozing
La mia strategia di ottimizzazione che condivido in questo post riguarda proprio questi tre giochi.
Splinterlands è il mio gioco basato su blockchain preferito ed è anche il gioco a cui ho giocato maggiormente da quando sono su Hive.
Infatti gioco su Splinterlands da settembre 2019 e ho giocato più di 36000 ranked battles manualmente senza usare bots.
Su Splinterlands è in corso la Proposal per il rilascio anticipato del nuovo set di carte.
Se la proposta passerà (molto probabile) a maggio 2024 dovrebbe essere rilasciato il nuovo set di carte e il set Chaos Legion uscirà dal Modern Format.
Io ho votato No alla Draft Proposal e ho votato No alla Proposal in corso perchè fin quando non sarà risolto il problema dell'attuale divisione Wild Format (bot consentiti) e Modern Format (bot non consentiti) i giocatori reali come me che vogliono giocare solo contro giocatori umani avranno sempre una limitazione di gioco per le carte che usciranno dal Modern Format.
Questo per me è un paradosso e votare no è un modo per spingere Splinterlands a trovare una soluzione per ridare utilità di gioco (e non di valore) alle vecchie carte ma purtroppo questa mia valutazione non coincide con la valutazione dei maggiori SPS stakeholders.
L'effetto del probabile rilascio anticipato del nuovo set di carte ha già prodotto degli effetti sulla mia strategia di gioco su Splinterlands.
Ho interrotto tutte le offerte di acquisto che avevo attive sulle carte dei set Chaos Legion e Riftwatchers perchè a maggio non potrò più utilizzarle in battaglia.
Le opzioni tra cui posso scegliere sono tre:
- vendere tutte le mie carte Chaos Legion per poi utilizzare i DEC guadagnati per acquistare le carte Rebellion e le carte Conclave Arcana quando saranno rilasciate
- tenere tutte le mie carte Chaos Legion sperando che Splinterlands trovi una soluzione per le vecchie carte prima del rilascio del nuovo set
- attuare una strategia a metà strada tra le due precedenti
Non ho ancora deciso cosa fare ma nel mio Splinterlands in-game wallet ho 167K DEC liquidi che, con molta probabilità, non utilizzerò fino al rilascio del nuovo set di carte e potrei utilizzare almeno una parte di questo quantitativo per progredire più velocemente in altri giochi oppure per acquistare altri assets.
Ho fatto un ragionamento simile anche su Soulkeep.
Mi piace giocare su Soulkeep anche se non sempre ho il tempo libero per farlo.
Da quando sono avanzato nella lega 3 ho migliorato i miei risultati di gioco e anche le mie ricompense giornaliere sono migliorate.
Su Soulkeep mi piace giocare ma non ho intenzione di acquistare i Soul Box e prima di avanzare nella lega 4 ci vorrà probabilmente circa un mese.
Dato che nella lega 3 c'è un cap per il livello delle mie Towers non ho necessità di aprire i 46 NIGHTMARE packs che non ho ancora aperto.
Tra l'altro il valore dei NIGHTMARE packs su Hive Engine è tendenzialmente in calo e potrebbe continuare a diminuire.
In questo caso potrei vendere i miei 46 NIGHTMARE packs adesso per riacquistarli ad un prezzo probabilmente più basso quando e se mi serviranno per fare l'upgrade delle mie torri.
Quindi:
- ho 167K DEC che non utilizzerò fino a maggio
- ho 46 NIGHTMARE packs che non aprirò prima di almeno 30 giorni
Ho invece un obiettivo di acquisto che vorrei raggiungere il prima possibile: acquistare 10 Holozing Alpha Vials.
Ho già acquistato 5 Alpha Vials
Per raggiungere il mio obiettivo di acquisto devo acquistare altri 5 Alpha Vials e prima lo farò e meglio sarà perchè ogni giorno 99K ZING sono distribuiti agli Alpha Vials owners in base al numero totale di Alpha Vials venduti e con l'aumentare degli Alpha Vials venduti diminuirà il guadagno giornaliero in token ZING per Alpha Vials acquistato.
Nel momento in cui scrivo questo post gli Alpha Vials venduti sono 575 e ogni Alpha Vials permette di fare il claim di 172.17 ZING al giorno.
Con 5 Alpha Vials ho un potenziale guadagno di 860 ZING al giorno mentre con 10 Alpha Vials avrei un guadagno di 1721 ZING al giorno.
La mia strategia per acquistare altri 5 Alpha Vials sarà una strategia di Game assets Optimizations perchè:
- venderò 46 NIGHTMARE packs da cui potrei ricavare circa 184 SWAP.HIVE
- venderò 50K DEC da cui posso ricavare 219 SWAP.HIVE
- venderò 24K ZING perchè il loro valore di mercato potrebbe diminuire fino al lancio della versione giocabile di Holozing, evento che aggiungerebbe molti casi d'uso al token ZING e quindi potrebbe far aumentare il valore del token.
In questo modo potrò acquistare immediatamente altri 5 Holozing Alpha Vials e in meno di 1 mese potrei recuperare i 24K ZING venduti per poi cercare di accumulare più ZING possibili prima del lancio della versione giocabile del gioco.
