Un saluto a tutti,
che sia in corso un fuggi fuggi generale da Steem ormai non è una novità e Hive rappresenta la parte sana della blockchain di proprietà di Justin Sun che si è distaccata per continuare un progetto che la dittatura instauratasi aveva interrotto bruscamente.
La novità, su cui ormai un team sta lavorando da più di un mese, è il lancio di una nuova blockchain che, al pari di Hive, nascerà da un ulteriore Hard Fork di Steem.
Sto parlando di Blurt che verrà lanciata il 4 luglio 2020 come Hard Fork della blockchain di Steem e che donerà un Airdrop a una lista di stakeholders di quest'ultima!
Parto dalla fine rispondendo subito alla domanda che tutti vorreste fare: chi riceverà l'airdrop e di che entità sarà quest'ultimo?
Il team di sviluppatori di Blurt ha "scattato" un'istantanea degli account di Steem alla data del 20 Maggio 2020 e se vi chiedete come mai abbiano scelto tale data la risposta è abbastanza ovvia: è la data nella quale c'è stato il discusso Hard Fork 23 che ha rubato i fondi a un ristretto numero di account e che ha ridotto i tempi del powerdown a 4 settimane.
Se volete sapere se siete inclusi nell'Airdrop, qui potete trovare la lista in formato CSV di account che lo riceveranno: AIRDROP..
Se avete problemi ad aprire il link chiedete pure, controllerò io per voi e vi dirò io quanti BLURT token riceverete.
Ma perchè nasce BLURT Blockchain?
Bene, le motivazioni sono svariate ma principalmente per colmare un dissenso di un gruppo di utenti e sviluppatori di STEEM/HIVE su alcune logiche alla base delle due blockchain.
Io seguo il progetto da un mese circa in quanto ho ricevuto la dritta da un caro amico e collega qui in Hive, ma non ho voluto parlarvene fino a che le cose non fossero diventate ufficiali.

Il dissenso di cui vi parlavo ha portato a delle modifiche sostanziali nella nuova blockchain; infatti volendole riassumere potremmo dire che sono:
- Eliminazione dei downvote
- Eliminazione di una moneta stabile (cioè SBD e HBD)
- Creazione di un "regent account"
Per quanto riguarda l'eliminazione dei downvote, è un punto su cui si è molto discusso in Steem prima e in Hive poi, in quanto c'è una grossa divisione sulla loro vera utilità e sull'abuso che ne verrebbe fatto da parte di alcune balene o da qualche gruppo di controllo sullo spam e il plagio.
Blurt ha deciso di eliminarli del tutto facendone quasi uno dei punti cardine del suo progetto. Non so quanto essere d'accordo su questa mossa, perchè in molti casi il downvote è necessario per evitare veri e propri abusi.. ma solo il tempo ci dirà se la scelta fatta dal team di sviluppo possa rivelarsi corretta.
La scelta di eliminare una moneta stabile, lasciando in essere solo i Blurt e i Blurt Power, invece potrebbe rivelarsi un boomerang.
All'atto dell'HF si è infatti deciso di convertire in Blurt tutti gli SBD presenti nei wallet di chi riceverà l'airdrop, però secondo me non si è tenuto conto della funzione di una moneta stabile in una blockchain come potrebbe esserlo Steem o Hive.
Non voglio stare a scrivere un intero post sul perchè siano state introdotte delle monete stabili e vincolate al Dollaro poichè ci sono tantissimi post che lo spiegano dettagliatamente, ma lasciare tutto in balia di un token che fluttua troppo potrebbe rivelarsi un autogol clamoroso.
Sono infine totalmente in disaccordo sulla creazione di un "Regent Account", che sostanzialmente è un account con un grossissimo potere di voto.
Se è vero che la sua funzione sarà solo quella di votare Witnesses e proposte DAO, in ogni caso introduce una limitata forma di centralizzazione che va contro il principio di blockchain, almeno quello che per me essa rappresenta (decentralizzata, resistente alla censura, non manipolabile).
Lo staff ha specificato chiaramente che questo account avrà vita per soli due anni dopo i quali verrà privato del suo potere (nel frattempo verranno attuate delle misure per impedire che la blockchain possa essere attaccata da grossi stakeholders) e che non si occuperà di votare dei post non andando a intaccare la reward pool e l'inflazione della blockchain.
Però potendo votare i witnesses e le proposte DAO, secondo me alla fine non sarà molto diverso da quello che Justin Sun sta facendo in Steem.
Correggetemi se sbaglio.
Parlando di inflazione, visto che l'ho nominata poc'anzi, Blurt avrà un'inflazione annuale iniziale del 10% che scenderà progressivamente all'1% in 20 e uno schema come questo:
- 65% dell'inflazione per gli autori e i curatori
- 15% dell'inflazione per mette in stake i token
- 10% di inflazione ai witnesses
- 10% dell'inflazione al fondo DAO

Ma ci sono ancora molti interrogativi che dovranno trovare risposta.
Quando Steem fu biforcato e nacque Hive c'era già stato un lavoro alle spalle per permettere al token (HIVE) di essere quasi immediatamente quotato in diversi exchange, mentre di BLURT non si sa nulla al riguardo.
Inoltre non è stato specificato se sarà richiesta qualche azione da parte nostra per ricevere l'airdrop oppure se avverrà tutto in automatico come avvenne per Hive.
A tal proposito mi chiedo anche se le chiavi di accesso saranno le stesse di Steem oppure se bisognerà generare nuove chiavi.
Anche la scelta di scattare un'istantanea di Steem al 20 maggio non è una scelta che mi entusiasma più di tanto, perchè a quella data la blockchain era già pesantemente condizionata dalle mosse di Justin Sun e dall'Hard Fork da cui nacque Hive, quindi mi chiedo se non sarebbe stato più giusto prendere come riferimento una data antecedente all'HF che ho appena citato oppure addirittura antecedente all'acquisizione di Steemit Inc da parte di Justin Sun.
Non ci sono chiarimenti neanche al riguardo degli steem token presenti negli exchange alla data del 20 maggio: saranno inclusi nell'istantanea oppure no?
Parliamo di una grossa quantità di token e un chiarimento in merito sarebbe opportuno.
In ogni caso manca ancora un mese al lancio e quindi sono sicuro che queste domande troveranno risposte nel corso dei prossimi giorni, dopo di che bisognerà attendere un congruo periodo di tempo per vedere se la blockchain riceverà apprezzamento da parte degli utenti e dell'intero settore e se le modifiche apportate a Steem/Hive avranno successo o meno.
Di certo c'è solo una cosa e cioè che Steem sta cadendo a pezzi e che si sta svuotando giorno dopo giorno...
...Sarà davvero curioso vedere cosa accadrà dopo il lancio di BLURT a una blockchain che sta assumento sempre più i connotati di un deserto!

Blurt's team of developers "took" a snapshot of Steem's accounts as of May 20, 2020 and if you're wondering why they chose that date the answer is quite obvious: it's the date when the controversial Hard Fork 23 stole funds from a small number of accounts and reduced the powerdown time to 4 weeks.

But why is BLURT Blockchain born?
Well, the motivations are varied but mainly to fill a disagreement of a group of users and developers of STEEM/HIVE on some logic behind the two blockchain.
I've been following the project for about a month or so since I got the tip from a dear friend and colleague here in Hive, but I didn't want to tell you about it until things became official.

The disagreement I was telling you about has led to substantial changes in the new blockchain:
- Elimination of downvote
- Elimination of a stable currency (i.e. SBD and HBD)
- Creation of a regent account
With regard to the elimination of downvote, it is a point that has been much discussed in Steem first and then in Hive, as there is a big divide on their true usefulness and the abuse that would be made of them by some whales or some spam and plagiarism control group.
Blurt has decided to eliminate them altogether, making them almost one of the cornerstones of his project. I don't know how much I agree with this move, because in many cases downvote is necessary to avoid real abuse... but only time will tell if the choice made by the development team can be correct.
The choice to eliminate a stable currency, leaving only Blurts and Blurt Powers in place, could turn out to be a boomerang.
At the HF it was decided to convert all the SBDs in the wallets of those who will receive the airdrop into Blurt, but in my opinion the function of a stable currency in a blockchain as it could be Steem or Hive has not been taken into account.
I don't want to write a whole post on why they have been introduced stable coins and bound to the dollar because there are many posts that explain it in detail, but leaving everything at the mercy of a token that fluctuates too much could prove to be a resounding own goal.
I finally totally disagree on the creation of a "Regent Account",*** which is basically an account with a huge voting power.
If it is true that its function will only be to vote Witnesses and DAO proposals, in any case it introduces a limited form of centralization that goes against the principle of blockchain, at least what for me it represents (decentralized, censorship resistant, not manipulable).
The staff has clearly specified that this account will last for only two years after which it will be deprived of its power (in the meantime, measures will be implemented to prevent the blockchain from being attacked by large stakeholders) and that it will not vote for posts not going to affect the reward pool and inflation of the blockchain.
But if you can vote for the witnesses and the D.O.A. proposals, in the end it won't be very different from what Justin Sun is doing in Steem.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
In terms of inflation, since I mentioned it earlier, Blurt will have an initial annual inflation rate of 10% which will gradually fall to 1% in 20 and a scheme like this:
- 65% inflation for authors and curators.
- 15% of inflation to stake the tokens
- 10% inflation to witnesses
- 10% of inflation to the DAO fund

In this regard I also wonder if the access keys will be the same as Steem or if we will have to generate new keys.
Even the choice to take a snapshot of Steem on May 20 is not a choice that excites me more than much, because at that date the blockchain was already heavily influenced by Justin Sun's moves and the Hard Fork from which Hive was born, so I wonder if it would not be more right to take as reference a date prior to the HF I just mentioned or even prior to the acquisition of Steemit Inc by Justin Sun.
There are no clarifications about the steem tokens in the exchanges on May 20 either: will they be included in the snapshot or not?
We're talking about a large amount of tokens and a clarification would be appropriate.
In any case, there is still one month until the launch and I am sure that these questions will be answered in the next few days, after which we will have to wait a reasonable period of time to see if the blockchain will be appreciated by users and the entire industry and if the changes made to Steem/Hive will be successful or not.
