Un saluto a tutti,
oggi volevo farvi un piccolo riassunto della situazione sul braccio di ferro tra Steem ed Hive, visto che in molti non hanno il tempo di rimanere aggiornati ed hanno espresso il proprio gradimento su questi miei articoli (vi basterà scorrere nel mio BLOG per trovarli tutti).
C'eravamo lasciati con Steem in balia del suo ultimo Hard Fork, il numero 23, che aveva creato la situazione paradossale del furto imperfetto.
Steemit Inc, o Justin Sun perchè alla fine le due entità si sono fuse in un'unica figura, avevano cercato di rubare ben 23 Milioni di token ad una manciata di grossi stakeholders tramite un Hard Fork non pubblicizzato e implementato all'improvviso in modo da non dare agli utenti presi di mira il modo di difendersi.
Non potevano immaginare che questa circostanza si sarebbe rivelata la figura più misera mai raggiunta nell'ecosistema di Steem: infatti era inimmaginabile che un hacker avrebbe preso possesso dell'account su cui i token rubati erano stati convogliati!
La mossa successiva dell'emulo di Dalì de "La casa de papel" fu quella di inviare i 23 Milioni di Token a Bittrex chiedendogli di restituirli ai legittimi proprietari.
Creando una situazione di stallo senza precedenti.
Dall'altra parte Hive continuava con il suo sviluppo sfornando nuove DApps, lavorando al proprio Hard Fork (che sarà implementato a breve) per sistemare alcune cose lasciate in sospeso dopo l'HF da cui ha preso vita e con uno sguardo al futuro che, a parere mio, la vedrà protagonista nel panorama delle blockchain.
La grossa notizia di cui vi ho parlato in uno dei miei post precedenti è stata quella dello spostamento di Splinterlands da Steem ad Hive e se consideriamo che questo gioco rappresenta l'applicazione più utilizzata nell'intero panorama delle blockchain (sicuramente era la più utilizzata in Steem), si può ben comprendere l'entità di questa mossa.
Ma come si sono evolute le cose negli ultimi 10 giorni?
Justin Sun sta continuando a distruggere in Steem quello che con grande fatica era stato costruito in 4 anni e la cosa più grave è che lo ha fatto con l'aiuto di una parte della community, dietro promessa di qualche agevolazione che dubito sia arrivata, che adesso però sta affrontando la dura realtà: la blockchain sta morendo.
Il furto dei token perpetrato attraverso l'HF23 non ha lasciato indifferenti gli utenti ma soprattutto gli exchange e il risultato è stato che la maggior parte di loro ha bloccato i prelievi e i depositi dello steem token (idem per gli SBD) e sta valutando di rimuovere o ridurre gli scambi contententi steem ed SDB.
Dico la maggior parte perchè Poloniex, molto vicino a Justin Sun, ha continuato a manterenere aperti i prelievi e i depositi ed è attraverso di loro che io ho continuato a liberarmi dei miei steem, powerdown dopo powerdown.
La notizia fresca di giornata è che anche Binance ha riaperto i prelievi e i depositi e per farlo ha dovuto implementare l'HF23; la loro giustificazione è che nonostante non approvino il furto dei token e non vogliano avallare ogni qualsiasi forma di appropriazionei indebita, tenere fermi depositi e prelievi va a svantaggio di quanti hanno degli steem e che rappresentano la maggior parte degli utenti.. di qui la decisione di far girare l'hard fork (chiudendo un occhio sul contenuto).
Non li si può biasimare, per loro sono solo affari e comunque la patata bollente è nelle mani di Bittrex che deve ancora decidere cosa fare con quei 23 Milioni di token che gli sono arrivati all'improvviso complicando moltissimo la loro posizione.
Immagino che serviranno tanti consulti con i propri avvocati per prendere una decisione che non presti il fianco a nessuna controffensiva legale.
Ammetto che non vorrei essere nei loro panni!
A questo punto, con i depositi e i prelievi aperti su Binance (che è il vero colosso degli exchange a livello di volumi) e con la riduzione dei tempi di powerdown su Steem da 13 a solo 4 settimane, non prevedo cosa buone per la quotazione dei token collegati a Steem.
Per quanto riguarda Hive, ieri abbiamo assistito al passaggio di Splinerlands sulla nostra blockchain.. e gli effetti si sono subito fatti sentire!
Infatti se prendiamo in esame i grafici di @arcange (vi consiglio caldamente di leggere questo suo post: The Splinterlands effect) possiamo notare una cosa davvero interessante: Hive ha superato Steem nel numero di transazioni giornaliere complessive!
Il merito di questo sorpasso è dovuto principalmente allo spostamento di Splinterlands in quanto la sottrazione delle transazioni che sviluppa il gioco dalla blockchain di Steem e l'aggiunta alla blockchain di Hive ha prodotto il sorpasso sul filo delle 400.000 transazioni giornaliere.
Trovate i grafici di cui vi parlo nel suo post e vi assicuro che sarebbe molto interessante vederli di persona, per cui consiglio di leggerlo con attenzione.
Questo dimostra quanto sia di fondamentale importanza fornire alle DApps un ambiente di lavoro performante e stabile, cosa su cui gli sviluppatori di Hive stanno lavorando sin dall'esordio della blockchain.
Hive rispetto a Steem ha dei costi di gestione molto più bassi e una blockchain più snella ed evoluta, motivo per cui molte DApps si stanno spostando qui e molte altre seguiranno l'esempio.
La cosa più importante è che lo sviluppo costante della blockchain è l'obiettivo principale dei devs di Hive, cosa che rende le prospettive future sempre più promettenti e stimolanti.
D'altronde se voi foste i creatori di un'applicazione vi orientereste su una blockchain in pieno sviluppo o su una che sta palesemente affrontando un periodo difficile e che non ha prospettive, dalla quale gli utenti stanno scappando liquidando tutti i propri tokens?
Perchè la risposta ad ogni dubbio secondo me risiede proprio in questa domanda, alla quale ognuno di noi, in propria coscienza, deve dare una risposta prima di decidere il da farsi.
A chi non riesce a fare a meno di dare uno sguardo alle quotazioni di Hive, vorrei ricordare che non credo che questo sia il momento giusto per farlo.
Infatti se è vero che queste ultime sono tornate ai livelli pre-Pump, è altrettanto vero che siamo in un momento di confusione tra blockchain (Steem/Hive) nel quale ci sono in corso powerdown su entrambi i fronti: su Steem da parte degli utenti in fuga e degli exchange che hanno appoggiato l'HF "ingannevole" che diede a Sun le chiavi della blockchain e che stanno cercando di rientrare in possesso dei token quanto prima, su Hive quasi esclusivamente da parte degli stessi Exchange che hanno ricevuto l'Airdrop di quegli stessi token anche sulla blockchain di Hive.
Token, che ricordo, non sono propriamente degli exchange ma dei loro clienti e che sono stati utilizzati all'insaputa di questi ultimi.

esso mostra abbastanza bene quello che ho appena detto, con le colonne gialle a mostrare i powerdown settimanali (quasi sicuramente degli exchange) che hanno appunto una cadenza regolare.
Ne restano altri due e successivamente (direi per il mese di luglio) potremo assistere alle vere dinamiche delle quotazioni di Hive in quanto ci saremo liberati di questi powerdown sistematici.
Queste sono le mie considerazioni sullo stato attuale delle cose, mi farebbe molto piacere confrontarmi con voi nella sezione commenti!

Today I wanted to make you a little summary of the situation on the iron-arm between Steem and Hive, since many people don't have the time to stay updated and have expressed their satisfaction on these articles of mine (you only need to scroll in my BLOG to find them all).
We were left with Steem at the mercy of his latest Hard Fork, the number 23, which had created the paradoxical situation of the perfect theft.
Steemit Inc, or Justin Sun because in the end the two entities merged into a single figure, had tried to steal 23 million tokens from a handful of big stakeholders through an unpublicized Hard Fork suddenly implemented so as not to give the users targeted the way to defend themselves.
They couldn't have imagined that this circumstance would turn out to be the most miserable figure ever reached in Steem's ecosystem: in fact it was unimaginable that a hacker would take possession of the account on which the stolen tokens had been channeled!
The next move of Dali's copycat of "La casa de papel" was to send the 23 million tokens to Bittrex asking him to return them to their rightful owners.
Creating an unprecedented stalemate.
On the other hand Hive continued with its development churning out new DApps, working on its own Hard Fork (which will be implemented soon) to fix some things left unfinished after the HF from which it came to life and with a look to the future that, in my opinion, will see it protagonist in the blockchain panorama.
The big news that I told you about in one of my previous posts was the movement of Splinterlands from Steem to Hive and if we consider that this game represents the most used application in the whole blockchain panorama (surely it was the most used in Steem), we can well understand the extent of this move.
But how have things evolved in the last 10 days?
Justin Sun is continuing to destroy in Steem what with great effort had been built in 4 years and the most serious thing is that he did it with the help of a part of the community, behind the promise of some facilities that I doubt has come, but now he is facing the harsh reality: the blockchain is dying.
The token theft perpetrated through HF23 has not left users indifferent but especially exchanges and the result has been that most of them have blocked steem token withdrawals and deposits (ditto for SBDs) and are considering removing or reducing steem and SDB containing exchanges.
I say most because Poloniex, very close to Justin Sun, continued to keep withdrawals and deposits open and it was through them that I continued to get rid of my steem, powerdown after powerdown.
The fresh news of the day is that Binance also reopened their withdrawals and deposits and had to implement HF23 to do so; their justification is that although they don't approve of token theft and don't want to endorse any form of embezzlement, keeping deposits and withdrawals down is to the disadvantage of those who have steems and who represent the majority of users... hence the decision to run the hard fork (turning a blind eye to the content).
You can't blame them, for them it's just business and anyway the bone sandwich is in the hands of Bittrex who still has to decide what to do with those 23 million tokens that suddenly arrived to them, making their position very complicated.
I guess they'll serve a lot of consultation with their lawyers to make a decision that won't lend a hand to any legal counteroffensive.
I admit I wouldn't want to be in their shoes!
At this point, with the deposits and withdrawals opened on Binance (which is the real volume exchange giant) and the reduction of powerdown times on Steem from 13 to only 4 weeks, I don't foresee anything good for the listing of tokens linked to Steem.
As for Hive, yesterday we saw Splinerlands pass on our blockchain... and the effects were immediately felt!
In fact, if we take a look at the @arcange graphs (I highly recommend you to read this post of his: The Splinterlands effect) we can notice a really interesting thing: Hive has surpassed Steem in the number of total daily transactions!
The credit for this overtaking is mainly due to the move of Splinterlands as the subtraction of the transactions that develops the game from Steem's blockchain and the addition to Hive's blockchain produced the overtaking on the edge of the 400,000 daily transactions.
Find the charts I'm talking about in his post and I assure you it would be very interesting to see them in person, so I suggest you read it carefully.
This shows how crucial it is to provide DApps with a high performance and stable working environment, something that Hive developers have been working on since the beginning of blockchain.
Hive compared to Steem has a much lower cost of ownership and a more streamlined and evolved blockchain, which is why many DApps are moving here and many others will follow suit.
The most important thing is that the constant development of the blockchain is the main goal of Hive's devs, which makes future prospects more promising and challenging.
On the other hand, if you were the creators of an application, would you be orientated towards a blockchain in full development or one that is clearly facing a difficult period that has no prospects, from which users are running away liquidating all their tokens?
Because the answer to any doubt in my opinion lies precisely in this question, to which each of us, in our own conscience, must give an answer before deciding what to do.
For those of you who can't help but take a look at the odds at Hive, I'd like to remind you that I don't think this is the right time to do so.
In fact if it's true that these are back to pre-Pump levels, it's equally true that we are in a moment of confusion between blockchain (Steem/Hive) in which there are powerdowns going on on both fronts: on Steem from the escaped users and the exchanges that supported the "deceptive" HF that gave Sun the keys to the blockchain and that are trying to regain possession of the tokens as soon as possible, on Hive almost exclusively from the same exchanges that received the Airdrop of those same tokens on the Hive blockchain too.
Tokens, which I remember, are not really exchanges but their clients and were used without their knowledge.

It shows quite well what I just said, with the yellow columns to show the weekly powerdowns (almost certainly of the exchanges) that have precisely a regular cadence.
Two more remain and then (I would say for the month of July) we can see the real dynamics of the Hive quotes as we will be rid of these systematic powerdowns.
