Oggi voglio parlarti di Babel, ho nominato spesso questa realtà negli ultimi post e mi sembra giusto, per chi non la conoscesse, dare qualche "info" in più.
Partiamo dal principio, sono venuto a conoscenza di questo sito su TikTok, la cosa mi è sembrata interessante oltre che con un buon potenziale e ho deciso di iscrivermi e candidarmi per poter partecipare al lavoro.
Il processo di iscrizione è semplice, così come la candidatura, basta conoscere solo un po' di inglese; cosa molto importante il lavoro che svolgo attualmente è tutto in italiano quindi l'inglese serve solo per la parte iniziale... Si può sopperire bene a qualche lacuna semplicemente utilizzando il traduttore di google, eh eh!
I compiti che svolgo non sono altro che delle chiamate di 15 minuti con altre persone, si può chiacchierare degli argomenti più disparati che, ovviamente, sono scelti dai due interlocutori e un'ora di lavoro viene retribuita 17,50 dollari.
I pagamenti vengono effettuati il martedì e ci sono diversi processori, io ad esempio uso Paypal e il martedì mi viene accreditato in maniera istantanea tutto ciò che guadagno; da questo punto di vista sono molto precisi e puntuali.
Diciamo che quello che serve per poter intraprendere questo lavoretto è un buon microfono, delle cuffie e una bella parlantina.
Si parte da 3 chiamate di base, man mano però che si va avanti col lavoro e si migliora queste possono aumentare; ogni chiamata viene analizzata e riceve dei Feedback, più questi sono positivi maggiori sono le possibilità che il lavoro aumenti.
Confesso che, per quel che mi riguarda, anche tre chiamate al giorno vanno benissimo, a conti fatti ci perdi un'oretta e a fine mese, lavorando tutti i giorni porti a casa circa 350 euro che non sono davvero male considerando che li hai guadagnati chiacchierando con qualcuno del tuo hobby preferito o di qualche altro tuo interesse.
Le conversazioni sono date poi "in pasto" all'intelligenza artificiale che attraverso queste viene "addestrata"; diciamo che da questo punto di vista potrebbe nascere qualche dubbio etico, soprattutto per i non amanti delle IA, personalmente non mi pongo questi problemi perché sono dell'idea che non sia comunque possibile fermare il progresso.
L'intelligenza artificiale ormai sta prendendo sempre più piede e diventando di uso comune, questo è risaputo.
Andando un po' più affondo nel pensiero c'è da dire che io reputo che comunque le macchine sono guidate dall'uomo pertanto dipende sempre tutto dalla nostra responsabilità; chi ha il dubbio che queste tecnologie possano togliere del lavoro all'uomo secondo me sbaglia per certi punti di vista.
I lavori che può svolgere l'intelligenza artificiale sono molto ripetitivi e sono dei lavori che sicuramente svolge meglio dell'uomo, se penso ad esempio a tutti gli uffici comunali o magari a quelli postali credo che sarebbero molto più efficienti se gestiti dall'intelligenza artificiale che però non potrebbe sostituire i postini ad esempio... Alla stessa maniera reputo che tutti gli artigiani non rischino nulla poiché il lavoro manuale fatto in un certo modo ha sempre una valore aggiunto.
Pensiamo ad esempio a una borsa, se prodotta in catena di montaggio ha un valore, sicuramente molto diversa è se prodotta a mano da un artigiano... Per quel che mi riguarda sceglierei sempre la seconda, lo stesso dicasi per scarpe, cibo e quant altro.
Le merendine e i dolci prodotti in serie in fabbrica non hanno nulla a che vedere con quelli prodotti dai maestri pasticceri... Si metterebbe a paragone l'oro col piombo.

Today I want to talk to you about Babel. I've mentioned this company often in recent posts, and I thought it was appropriate, for those who aren't familiar with it, to provide a little more information.
Let's start from the beginning. I discovered this site on TikTok. It seemed interesting and had good potential, so I decided to sign up and apply to participate in the work.
The registration process is simple, as is the application. You only need to know a little English. Most importantly, the work I currently do is entirely in Italian, so English is only needed for the initial part... You can easily fill in any gaps simply by using Google Translate, eh eh!
The tasks I perform are nothing more than 15-minute calls with other people. We can chat about a wide variety of topics, obviously chosen by the two people involved, and an hour's work is paid $17.50.
Payments are made on Tuesdays, and there are several payment processors. I use PayPal, for example, and on Tuesdays, everything I earn is instantly credited to me. They're very precise and punctual in this regard.
Let's just say that what you need to undertake this job is a good microphone, headphones, and the gift of the gab.
You start with three basic calls, but as you progress and improve, these can increase. Each call is analyzed and given feedback. The more positive the feedback, the greater the chance of increased work.
I confess that, as far as I'm concerned, even three calls a day are fine. All things considered, you'll waste an hour, and at the end of the month, working every day, you'll take home about €350, which isn't bad considering you earned it by chatting with someone about your favorite hobby or other interests.

Let's just say that from this perspective, some ethical doubts could arise, especially for those who aren't AI enthusiasts. Digging a little deeper, I must say that I believe that machines are driven by humans, so everything always depends on our responsibility; anyone who doubts that these technologies could take away jobs from humans is, in my opinion, mistaken in some respects.
The jobs that artificial intelligence can perform are highly repetitive and are certainly better than humans. If I think, for example, of all the municipal offices or even postal services, I believe they would be much more efficient if managed by artificial intelligence, which, however, could not replace postmen, for example... Likewise, I believe that all artisans are risk-free, since manual labor done in a certain way always has added value.
For example, consider a bag: if produced on an assembly line, it has value, but if handcrafted by an artisan, it is certainly very different... As far as I'm concerned, I would always choose the latter, the same goes for shoes, food, and so on.
Snacks and sweets mass-produced in factories have nothing in common with those made by master pastry chefs... One would compare gold with lead.
