In the latest update from ARCADECOLONY, Splinterlands introduces a thrilling new ability: Empower. Designed to bolster your team’s potential in the heat of battle, Empower brings a strategic edge to high-stakes matches, giving summoners and monsters alike a fresh layer of depth.
Empower is a passive ability that increases the base stats of friendly monsters sharing the same type or class. For instance, a card with Empower (Magic) boosts all friendly Magic attackers by +1 Magic Damage. This buff stacks if multiple Empower abilities are present, making team synergy even more vital.
What makes Empower particularly powerful is its strategic flexibility. Players are now encouraged to build more specialized teams, leveraging the bonus Empower provides. It's no longer just about choosing the strongest cards, but crafting units that enhance one another’s potential.

The introduction of Empower opens new meta pathways in both Wild and Modern formats. It pairs especially well with glass cannon units, enabling them to hit harder before being eliminated, and can even tip the scales in battles against traditionally tougher tank lines.
