Introduction
Hello Hive friends and Golem Overlord enthusiasts!
It has been almost two months since I last provided an update on my situation in this fantastic Hive game! Unfortunately, it has been a complicated few weeks both at work and at home. Last week, my wife caught a severe flu, which kept her in bed for most of her days, and so I focused on taking care of her and my two daughters. Because of this, I have been much less active and productive on my blog. Now, things seem to be improving, and I expect to publish more consistently again. Despite this, I have continued to play and have my giants battle in the Conquest mode, which I really enjoy and find a lot of fun during my sleepless nights! 😂
Where do we start? Let's first look at the results of the last two seasons!
Results of the Last Two Seasons
In the penultimate season, this was my ranking:
While in the most recent season, I finished in:
In season 25.02-1, I played 247 matches, winning 172 with a winrate of 70%, while in season 25.02-2, I fought 328 battles, winning 218 for a winrate of 66%.
So, despite a lower winrate (-4%), I managed to improve my ranking from 7th to 6th place.
In the last season, I spent quite some time in 5th place, but at the end, my opponent Stiant decided to push ahead, playing several matches in the last days, and overtook me at the final stretch:
I tried to catch up, but I couldn't reach him anymore because I noticed that the BOTs I was fighting (you play against a BOT when the system can't find active players within 2 minutes) have become stronger than before, and from rank 1900, it becomes difficult to beat even them.
It was a lot of fun because we kept overtaking each other until the final rush, where Stiant came out on top. Kudos to him!!!
Getting to 5th place would have given me a more substantial rewards bounty, but no matter, I'll try again in this season!
My Strongest Golem
Now, let's talk about my strongest assets in the game. I used the souls accumulated during these two seasons plus some souls bought with the HDB I gathered to upgrade the Golem I use the most. Here's my platoon:
At the moment, I have 3 Golem at level 11:
My favorite is Behemoth, who, with the transition to Enigma rarity, gained the ability Poison Cloud, which I find very powerful. Additionally, it has 72% in the stat at the bottom of the card, which represents the chance to receive random boosts to its base stats:
Eyes on the Market
Every day, I keep an eye on the market with two main goals:
- I am looking for Advisor of Invaluable level to buy at reasonable prices because I want to accumulate them and then disassemble them to gain experience points to upgrade my preferred advisors. Currently, I have these:
My favorite is Naia, which gives a boost to Regeneration, thus improving the Golem's ability to recover lost health:
I have several Golem with this trait, and pairing it with Naia makes them even more resilient.
Upgrading an Advisor requires an absurd amount of experience points, which is hard to reach with the points obtained from battles. The costs of the Advisors I like, at Enigma level, are too high (some aren't even for sale), so the only solution is to get lower-level ones and disassemble them to upgrade the ones I consider better based on my Golem lineup.
Disassembling an Invaluable Advisor grants 50,000 or 75,000 experience points, but to perform the upgrade, 1,000,000 points are required!!!
- I also monitor the market for some deals when purchasing Golem. For example, I'm looking for those with abilities that I've highlighted in red:
Generally, before buying a Golem, I check:
- that it has at least one ability I like;
- that it has an additional trait that provides battle boosts;
- that it has a random stat boost chance above 50%.
In this example, I selected a Magna Colossus available on the market that meets 2 of the criteria I described above. It has the ability I’m looking for, has a random stat boost percentage above 50% (68%, specifically), but doesn't have one of the traits that activate battle boosts (Arcane Emblem or Celestial). I would have bought it if it weren’t priced at 78 Hive 😁
Tips and Tricks for Conquest Mode
One thing I learned in the recently concluded season is the importance of the Advisor. The Advisor has energy points based on its rarity, and for each battle, it consumes one. Once all the energy points are used up, that Advisor can no longer be used until it regains at least one energy point.
There was one day when I played a lot and used up all my Advisors' energy, but despite that, I kept playing with the lower-level Advisors.
Well, I went on an endless streak of defeats that slowed my climb in the rankings, all because I stubbornly continued. This experience taught me that it's better to play as many battles as the energy points of our best Advisors, then stop. If you really want to keep playing, it is essential to recharge the energy points of the best Advisors with soul tokens:
Another thing I consider before battling are the active opponents at that moment. If the Gate is open, usually, the strongest players are active, for example, Users12345, who often ranks in the top 3 positions and is always active during these phases. Most of the times I've met him, I've lost. So, if one of these players, listed below, is active, I avoid entering battle (at least until I can compete with them):
However, occasionally, I try playing against them to understand their level. For example, here I fought against Kiishin28 and managed to get a victory:

The final element I pay attention to is the choice of Golem. As explained in previous articles, I prefer selecting Golem that have an emblem among their traits to get more battle boosts.
The choice of elements and boosts to activate depends on the abilities of the Golem and the Advisor you want to play. To give you an idea, if I want to deploy Naia, which gives a boost to health regeneration, I will aim to have at least 5 units with the Elemental emblem and 5 units with Vanguard:
5 Elemental units provide access to a 4% regeneration boost per Golem (which combined with Naia's boost is very powerful), while 5 Vanguard units give 5 additional defense points per unit.
By combining these general synergies with the selection of Tank Golem with high health and some units with support and healing abilities like Healing Touch or Divine Intervention, we get a complete, powerful, and difficult-to-beat team.

Ciao amici di Hive e appassionati di Golem Overlord!
E' da quasi due mesi che non porto un aggiornamento sulla mia situazione in questo fantastico Hive-game! Purtroppo sono state settimane complicate sia a livello lavorativo che famigliare, nell'ultima settimana mia moglie ha avuto una forte influenza che l'ha costretta a letto per gran parte delle sue giornate e mi sono quindi concentrato sulla cura verso di lei e le mie due figlie. Per questo sono stato molto meno attivo e produttivo sul mio blog. Ora la situazione sembra essere rientrata e in via di miglioramento e quindi conto di tornare a pubblicare con maggiore costanza. Nonostante questo ho continuato a giocare e far combattere i miei giganti nella modalità Conquest che apprezzo tantissimo e mi fa divertire molto nelle mie notti insonni! 😂
Da dove partiamo? Vediamo per prima cosa i risultati delle ultime due stagioni!
Piazzamenti nelle ultime due stagioni
Nella penultima stagione questo è stato il mio piazzamento:
Mentre nell'ultima stagione appena conclusa ho terminato in:
Nella stagione 25.02-1 ho giocato 247 partite vincendone 172 con un winrate del 70% mentre nella stagione 25.02-2 ho combattuto ben 328 battaglie vincendone 218 per un winrate del 66%.
Sono quindi riuscito nonostante un winrate più basso (-4%) a migliorare il mio piazzamento in classifica dal 7° al 6° posto.
Nell'ultima stagione sono stato per diverso tempo in 5° posizione ma sul finale l'avversario Stiant ha deciso di rompere gli indugi giocando diverse battaglie negli ultimi giorni e superandomi sul finale:
Ho provato a recuperare ma non sono riuscito più a raggiungerlo anche perchè ho notato che i BOT con cui ho combattuto (si gioca contro un BOT quando nella ricerca di un avversario il sistema non trova giocatori attivi entro 2 minuti) sono diventati più forti rispetto a prima e dal rank 1900 diventa difficile battere anche loro.
E' stato molto divertente perchè continuavamo a superarci l'un l'altro fino al rash finale dove Stiant ha avuto la meglio, onore a lui!!!
Arrivare al quinto posto mi avrebbe dato un bottino rewards più succulento ma non importa, ci riproverò in questa stagione!
I miei Golem più forti
Ora veniamo ai miei asset più forti in gioco. Ho utilizzato gli anima accumulati durante queste due stagioni più qualche anima acquistato con gli HDB accumulati per fare upgrade dei Golem che utilizzo di più. Ecco il mio plotone:

Il mio preferito è Behemoth che con il passaggio alla rarità Enigma ha ottenuto l'abilità Poison Cloud che reputo molto potente. Inoltre ha 72% nella statistica che si vede in fondo alla carta che rappresenta la possibilità di ricevere potenziamenti casuali delle sue statistiche di base:
Occhi attenti sul mercato
Tutti i giorni do un occhio al mercato con due obiettivi principali:
- Sono alla ricerca di Advisor di livello Invaluable da acquistare a prezzi ragionevoli perchè vorrei accumularne per poi smantellarli e ricevere punti esperienza per potenziare i miei advisor preferiti. Ad oggi ho questi:
Il mio preferito è Naia che da un boost alla Rigenerazione e quindi la capacità dei Golem di recuperare la salute persa:
Ho diversi Golem con questo tratto e l'abbinata con Naia li rende ancora più resistenti.
Potenziare un Advisor richiede una quantità assurda di punti esperienza che è difficile raggiungere con quelli che si ottengono dalle battaglie. I costi degli Advisor che mi piacciono, di livello Enigma sono troppo alti (alcuni non sono neanche in vendita) e quindi l'unica soluzione è prenderne di livello più basso e smantellarli per fare l'upgrade di quelli che reputo migliori in base alla mia schiera di Golem.
Smantellare un Advisor di livello Invaluable permette di ottenere 50.000 o 75.000 punti esperienza e per fare l'upgrade ne servono 1.000.000!!!
- Monitoro poi il mercato anche alla ricerca di qualche affare nell'acquisto di Golem. Sono alla ricerca, per esempio di questi, con le abilità che ho evidenziato in rosso:
In generale prima di acquistare un Golem verifico:
- che abbia almeno un'abilità che mi piace;
- che abbia un tratto aggiuntivo che permetta di ottenere i boost di battaglia;
- che abbia una percentuale di potenziamento casuale superiore al 50%.
In questo esempio ho selezionato un Magna Colossus disponibile sul mercato che rispecchia 2 dei criteri che ho descritto sopra, ha l'abilità che sto cercando, ha una percentuale di potenziamento casuale sopra al 50% (68% nello specifico) ma non ha uno dei tratti che attivano i potenziamenti in battaglia (Emblema Arcane o Celestial). Lo avrei anche acquistato se non costasse 78 Hive 😁
Tips and Trick Conquest Mode
Una delle cose che ho capito nella stagione appena conclusa è l'importanza dell'Advisor. L'Advisor ha dei punti energia in base alla sua rarità e per ogni battaglia ne consuma una. Terminati i punti energia disponibili, quell'Advisor non potrà più essere utilizzato fino a quando non avrà accumulato almeno un punto energia.
C'è stata una giornata in cui ho giocato tanto e ho consumato tutte le energie dei miei Advisor ma nonostante questo ho continuato a giocare con gli Advisor di livello più basso.
Beh, ho inannellato una serie infinita di sconfitte che hanno rallentato la mia scalata in classifica e questo solo per essermi intestardito. Questa esperienza mi ha fatto capire che conviene giocare tante battaglie quanti sono i punti energia dei nostri Advisor migliori dopodiché fermarsi. Se proprio si vuole continuare a giocare è fondamentale ricaricare i punti energia degli Advisor migliori con i token anima:
Altra cosa che considero prima di battagliare sono gli avversari attivi in quel momento. Se il Gate è aperto di solito, stanno giocando i più forti, ad esempio Users12345 che è un utente che si piazza quasi sempre nelle prime 3 posizioni è sempre attivissimo in queste fasi e la maggior parte delle volte in cui l'ho incontrato ho perso. Quindi se sta giocando uno di questi utenti che vedi sotto, evito di entrare in battaglia (almeno fino a quando non potrò competere con loro):
Ogni tanto ad ogni modo provo a giocare contro di loro per capire a che livello sono. Ad esempio qui ho combattuto contro Kiishin28 e sono riuscito ad ottenere una vittoria:

Ultimo elemento a cui sto attento è la scelta dei Golem. Come già spiegato nei precedenti articoli prediligo scegliere Golem che hanno un emblema tra i loro tratti in modo da avere più boost possibili in battaglia.
La scelta degli elementi da scegliere e dei boost da attivare dipende dalle abilità dei Golem e dall'Advisor che si vuol giocare. Solo per farti capire, se voglio schierare Naia che da un boost alla rigenerazione della salute, punterò ad avere almeno 5 unità con l'emblema Elemental e 5 unità con Vanguard:
5 unità Elemental danno accesso ad un boost del 4% di rigenerazione per ogni Golem (che unito al boost di Naia è molto potente) mentre 5 unità Vanguard danno accesso a 5 punti difesa in più per ogni unità.
Se a queste sinergie generali ci abbiniamo la scelta di Golem come Tank con vita alta e in generale qualche unità che ha anche abilità di supporto e ristoro come Healing Touch o Divine Intervention otteniamo una squadra completa, potente e difficile da abbattere.
