Hello to all friends of Hive and fans of Splinterlands!
It’s been several weeks since my last post, unfortunately, it's a really bad time at work. I can’t give details as it's confidential information, but work is taking up all of my time and the little I have left I use to keep my Hive-game accounts active (Splinterlands and Golem Overlord).
In addition, I’m trying to develop a new project, which is the focus of this article, and I’d love your opinion on it.
This new project is related to the world of Splinterlands, a strategic card game I adore and that brings me a bit of fun every day.
The idea came out of nowhere. I enjoy studying data and was looking for a way to have a database to analyze, especially focused on battles. I have some very outdated programming knowledge (I studied it in high school but didn’t keep practicing), but thanks to artificial intelligence I developed a Python script that allows me to extract and organize battle data.
A huge thanks goes to @arc7icwolf who opened my eyes to the world of APIs, which are the core of extracting data quickly and efficiently.
Analyzing the data and writing code to read them is a whole different story and not at all easy. I managed to do something, and now it's up to you — if you feel like it — to give me feedback and let me know if the level I've reached can be satisfactory and useful for a Splinterlands player.
I analyzed the victory-only battle data from the top 10 players in the Gold League (the one where I compete in the ranked leaderboard) in the Modern format of season 154. Now I’ll share with you the slides I created after extracting and analyzing the data:

Final Analysis:
The idea is to create a structured project producing reports for every League (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, and Champion) with analysis divided by mana amount (<=20; >20 <40; >40) for both the Wild and Modern formats, with a few tips such as most-used cards in a specific ruleset, or most-used splinters and cards by the 1st place finisher in each league.
I don't know if I'll be able to carry this idea forward because editing remains the most challenging part, and it takes a lot of time—especially to produce so many reports every 15 days, possibly even bilingual (ITA/ENG). I'll look for an optimal solution, provided the feedback is positive :)
What do you think? Do you believe this data could be useful for experienced players or new players? I think this could be valuable information to analyze your own collection, define battle strategies, and even card purchase plans — or simply a resource that motivates deeper strategic thinking in this amazing game.

E da ormai diverse settimane che non pubblico nulla, purtroppo è un periodo davvero pessimo a lavoro. Non posso dare dettagli perchè sono informazioni riservate ma l'attività lavorativa sta completamente assorbendo tutto il mio tempo e quel poco che ho lo uso per portare avanti i miei account sugli Hive-Game (Splinterlands e Golem Overlord).
Inoltre sto tentando di portare avanti un nuovo progetto che è il focus di questo articolo e di cui vorrei una vostra opinione.
Questo nuovo progetto è legato al mondo di Splinterlands, gioco strategico di carte che adoro e che mi fa divertire un pochino ogni giorno.
L'idea è nata un po' cosi, mi piace studiare dati e cercavo un modo per poter avere una base da analizzare soprattutto in tema di battaglie. Ho basi di programmazione molto obsolete (ho studiato alle superiore ma non ho coltivato questa skill nel tempo) ma grazie all'intelligenza artificiale ho messo a punto uno script python che mi permette di estrarre e organizzare i dati di battaglia.
Molto devo ad @arc7icwolf che mi ha aperto un mondo con le API che sono il fulcro per estrarre dati in modo rapido e veloce.
Analizzarli e scrivere codice per leggerli è tutto un altro film e non è affatto semplice. Qualcosa sono riuscito a fare e sarete voi, se vi va a darmi un feedback e dirmi se il livello raggiunto può essere soddisfacente e utile per un giocatore di Splinterlands.
Ho analizzato i dati delle battaglie (solo vittorie) dei primi 10 in classifica della Lega Gold (quella nella quale competo in classifica ranked) nel formato Modern della stagione 154. Ora vi riporto le schermate della presentazione che ho creato dopo aver estratto e analizzato i dati:

Analisi conclusiva:
L'idea è quella di creare un progetto strutturato con la produzione di report per ogni Lega (bronze, silver, gold, diamond e champion) con analisi suddivise in base alla quantità di mana disponibile (<=20; >20 <40; >40) sia per il formato Wild che Modern con qualche Tips, tipo carte più utilizzate con una determinata regola di battaglia o carte e splinter più utilizzati dal primo classificato nella lega.
Non so se ce la farò a portare avanti questa idea perchè l'editing rimane la parte più ostica che assorbe tanto tempo soprattutto per fare così tanti report ogni 15 giorni magari anche bilingue (ITA/ENG). Cercherò una soluzione che possa essere ottimale se ovviamente i feedback saranno buoni :)
Cosa ne pensate? Ritenete che questi dati possano essere utili per giocatori già esperti o nuovi giocatori? Penso che possano essere informazioni utili per analizzare la propria collection, definire delle strategia sia di battaglia ma anche di acquisto delle carte o comunque informazioni che possano invogliare all'approfondimento strategico di questo fantastico gioco.
