Some more scenic action from around East Devon, today a little look from the hills to my home town…
Sidmouth isn't a well know town in the general sense but it does have the famous Folk Festival each year in the first week of August, which I've written about in my blog. It is well situated for some great walks within the area and at times lovely views.
This section forms part of the Jurassic Coast which is a World Heritage Site, stretching into Dorset. And when the weather is fine and the conditions are right, you can see why.
Over the other side of the valley is Salcombe Hill… you can head towards the nearby villages of Branscombe and the greatly named Beer, then onto the town of Seaton and continue to Lyme Regis.
This is a shot taken from Peak Hill (hence my poor peek pun in the title). If you keep going this direction, you head towards Otterton, Budleigh and my current dwelling spot, Exmouth!
The second image is coming from another angle; that being behind the town in some woods looking out to sea.
A cracking little corner of the world, and always nice to come back to wherever my travels take me :)
