The importance of self-care for self-love and your own company for the full enjoyment of life
Hi Liketu friends! This time I bring... 10 selfies! Jejej, I don't usually upload selfies, but this time I spent a fun afternoon recording and it occurred to me to take some "spontaneous" pictures, hehe. They were not so spontaneous, because I had to activate the timer of the Logitech BRIO camera (later I did take some selfies with my cell phone that came out natural) and stay inside the eye of the camera, but I tried to be as faithful as possible to how I felt at that moment and the truth is that it was very good, because I was very happy.
You may be wondering why, and here goes the content of my post today my friends, the reason was SELF LOVE based on self-care. If there is something that Yoga has taught me (among many other things), is that loving ourselves leads us to have fun. And in life the human being... what does he/she look for? They look for pleasure, they look for enjoyment. If we dislike certain responsibilities, schedules and so on, it is because we do not enjoy it, because in truth what we are looking for is to be happy, without perhaps knowing that happiness is found at every moment within oneself.
If you know yourself, if you accept yourself, if you love yourself as you are, there is something that will begin to happen, and that is that your own company will be very fun, very comfortable; and wherever you are, you will be able to respond with a self-embrace, with a listening, with love, with respect, and the most magical thing about this, is that by doing so, by giving yourself, you are building the necessary foundations to be able to offer this to others as well.
***Being for others has no other origin but oneself.
And this does not mean that we should walk "alone" through life. You can be very well accompanied, but you must always keep in mind that you are the first person who receives all your emotions and feelings, and you are the person who will be with you until the end. So of course enjoy yourself in society, because we are also social beings, but prioritize yourself healthily.
Playing with yourself is also something we need to keep in mind: laughing, singing, having fun, doing something that gets us out of the routine and that we enjoy, even if it's just doing it alone. This is also self-care, together with hygiene, healthy diet, applying creams for example, doing physical activity. These aspects make self-care.
But let's not forget the subtle issues such as doing what we love as a job, being with the people we want, who at the same time respect us and above all, know what our limits are and do not try to go beyond them. It is also self-care to let go, to recognize that we no longer have to be in a group, in an institution, or wherever if in that space we are feeling bad or perhaps somewhat empty.
Because the truth is that this is our life, and only each one of us is responsible for watching over the desires of our heart, even if we are in a world that seems to have pigeonholed everything into categories that have names that one day did not even exist or even if we are part of some social group that moves in the opposite direction to the one we want.
Those photos you see there, reflect those moments of encounter with me, sometimes in the stillness of a meditation, sometimes in the madness of a dance, sometimes in the filming of a reflection, sometimes in euphoric songs, sometimes in the writing of a post... That day I wanted to laugh because I did, to embrace myself, to congratulate myself, to recognize myself as a beautiful energy in this body that I love. And well, of course, I wanted to share these feelings with you my friends.
I wish you a magical moment today and enjoy yourself, even if it is only in a "little corner" of the day.

La importancia del autocuidado para el amor propio y tu propia compañía para el disfrute pleno de la vida
Hola amigos de Liketu!! Esta vez traigo… 10 selfies! Jejej, no suelo subir selfies, pero esta vez pasé una divertida tarde grabando y se me ocurrió hacer algunas fotos “espontáneas”, jeje. No fueron tan espontáneas, porque tenía que activar el temporizador de la cámara Logitech BRIO (luego sí hice con el celu algunas selfies que salieron naturales) y quedarme dentro del ojo de la cámara, pero intenté ser lo más fiel posible a cómo me sentía en ese momento y la verdad es que me quedó muy bien, pues estaba muy feliz.
Tal vez se pregunten el motivo, y aquí va el contenido de mi post de hoy mis amigas y amigos, el motivo era el AMOR PROPIO basado en el autocuidado. Si hay algo que me ha enseñado Yoga (entre tantas otras cosas), es que amarse nos conduce a divertirnos. Y es que en la vida el ser humano… ¿qué busca? Busca placer, busca el disfrute. Si nos desagradan ciertas responsabilidades, horarios y demás, es porque no lo disfrutamos, porque en verdad lo que estamos buscando es ser felices, sin saber quizás que la felicidad se encuentra a cada instante dentro de uno mismo.
Si te conocés, si te aceptás, si te amás como sos, hay algo que empezará a pasar, y es que tu propia compañía será muy divertida, muy confortable; y sea donde sea que estés, vas a poder darte respuesta con un autoabrazo, con una escucha, con amor, con respeto, y lo más mágico de esto, es que al hacerlo, al brindarte a ti misma o a ti mismo, estás construyendo las bases necesarias para poder ofrecer esto también a los demás.
El estar para otros, no tiene otro origen sino uno mismo.
Y esto no significa que debemos andar “solos” o “solas” por la vida. Puedes estar muy bien acompañado, pero siempre debes tener en cuenta que eres la primera persona que recibe todas tus emociones y sentimientos, y eres la persona que estará contigo hasta el final. Así que claro que disfruta en sociedad, porque también somos seres sociales, pero priorízate sanamente.
El hecho de jugar con uno mismo también es algo que tenemos que tener en cuenta: reírnos, cantar, divertirnos, hacer algo que nos saca de la rutina y que nos gusta, aunque sea que lo hagamos solos. Esto es también autocuidado, junto con la higiene, la dieta saludable, el colocarse cremas por ejemplo, hacer actividad física. Estos aspectos hacen al autocuidado.
Pero no nos olvidemos de las cuestiones sutiles como hacer lo que amamos a modo de trabajo, estar con las personas que deseamos, quienes al mismo tiempo nos respetan y sobre todo, conocen cuáles son nuestros límites y no intentan ir más allá de ellos. También es autocuidado soltar, reconocer que ya no tenemos que estar en un grupo, en una institución, o en donde sea si es que en ese espacio nos estamos sintiendo mal o quizás algo vacíos.
Porque la verdad es que esta es nuestra vida, y solamente cada uno de nosotros es responsable de velar por los deseos de su corazón, aunque estemos en un mundo que parece haber encasillado todo en categorías que tienen nombres que un día ni siquiera existieron o a pesar de que seamos parte de algún grupo social que se mueva en dirección opuesta a la que uno mismo desea.
Esas fotos que ven ahí, reflejan esos momentos de encuentro conmigo, que a veces son en la quietud de una meditación, otras veces en la locura de una danza, otras veces en la filmación de una reflexión, también en cantos eufóricos, otras veces en la escritura de un post… Aquel día tenía ganas de reír porque sí, de abrazarme, de felicitarme, de reconocerme como una bella energía en este cuerpo que amo. Y bueno, claro, quería compartir estas sensaciones con ustedes mis amigos.
Te deseo que hoy te regales un momento mágico y te disfrutes, aunque sea en un “rinconcito” del día.
