The daily grind can really beat you up sometimes, can't it? It's precisely why those moments of reframing are so vital to me. Especially me, where ADHD can scramble, toss and serve up confusion faster than a subway pass swipe.
I managed to get out for a quick walk the other day when I came across this crek view. The rapid-fire world surrounding it melted away, and for a fleeting moment I was completely immersed in its tranquility. I wanted to be a leaf, drifting downstream as cool waters nurtured my soul, rocks and pebbles caressed away the tension, and moss and algae nurtured. All that was asked was that I enjoyed the ride.
It only took a couple of minutes for calm to fill my consciousness. Restored, I returned to the world and my communities with a smile and purpose.
