I almost forgot it but here is my last day at #HiveAroundTheWorld
I must confess that I had to think for a few minutes to write about this topic.
These days, my life revolves around the hospital and my upcoming graduation, so there isn’t much time for hobbies. If that's something wrong, but it's my reality for now.
After a few minutes, I concluded that my two main hobbies are: Drawing and Traveling.
Both are opposites. When I travel, I don’t draw, and when I draw, I prefer not to be disturbed.
Drawing
If you’re new here, I love drawing cars. I take photos of them, and when I have time (and inspiration strikes), I recreate them. I won’t say I’m good at it because I don’t think I am.
But I do like the results I’ve achieved. Still, I would like to improve my tools in the near future to take this hobby to another level.
When I recreate cars, I forget everything. Drawing a car requires a lot of concentration; one wrong line can completely change the model, and I am obsessive about details, so I focus and forget about the world.
Traveling
You might think this is a cliché or you’ve read it many times in other posts.
In my case, this is the hobby that takes up the most of my time (after the hospital). I don’t need much to travel.
When I feel uncomfortable, I call my partner, we pack our backpacks, and we go. Many times, without a specific destination.
Because for us, it’s not about the destination, but about the journey.
Traveling with the person you love should be considered medicine, beyond just a hobby.
Putting yourself in uncomfortable situations, meeting new people, and visiting places you didn’t initially plan is something that always changes us.
Together, we have set out to visit our entire country before we have to emigrate. I don’t know if we’ll accomplish it, but I do know we’ll enjoy it.
Anyway, if you follow me, you’ll witness these and other crazy things that happen to me during my travels in an island full of eccentrics.
While I was writing the post, reading came to mind, and I wanted to ask you... Would you consider reading a hobby?
In my case, it’s part of my daily routine. Before starting my day, I read a little here on Hive. During my lunch, I get through the book I’m reading. In the afternoon, I return to Hive, and before sleeping, I read a bit more of my book.
I won’t say I read 100 pages a day, but I do read some, and they are part of my routine.
But what about you? Do you read a lot, or only when you remember?
Let me know in the comments; I’d love to hear from you!
Read you soon!
