The weather was relatively clear and the wind low so I decided to fly over a local park. First, Miko and Momo had a walk around the park because there were other people and dogs present.
Once the park was empty I started to fly. It was just after midday so the shadows are short.
I'm still getting terrible range and flight times from this drone (DJI Spark).
I did forget to charge the batteries so the intelligent battery manager had taken the batteries to about 80%. Next time I'll remember to recharge!
I had a few curious onlookers, but they said nothing other than a basic hello. I was following all the laws too.
I took quite lot of photos but these are my favourites. I like how the foot paths lead the eye along the other boundaries between cut grass and nature.
The dogs waited patiently in the car, though Miko did ask me why he wasn't allowed to chase the drone.
I hope to try this boundary study in other locations. I use this exercise with a straight down view to get me thinking about texture and how my person-eye view might translate to a view from above.
