Merry Christmas everybody. I hope you have a quacking good time.
Something unusual happened here in Hiroshima... Not only did it snow, but the snow laid, and then snow laid on top of the snow! In a typical year we might get a thin layer of snow in January and it melts almost as soon as the sun shows its face.
In all my years in Hiroshima, I've never seen so much snow as we have had in the past two days.
One creative student took the opportunity to make some snow ducks and I couldn't resist stopping to take a photo of them between classes yesterday.
Today, Christmas Eve, I taught my last class for a couple of weeks, picked up a couple of Christmas cakes on my way home and am looking forward to midnight when I will see in Christmas with my first "beer at home" since the Saturday before Advent.
Cheers!
