Persuasion! Persuasion!! Persuasion!!!
I see this as an act that has to do with influencing, convincing and even confusing someone into taking an action or carrying out a task that might not necessarily be of benefit to them, take not I said “that might” before I will be judged by my choice of words.
People who persuade most times do such a thing as a result of the benefit attached to being able to convince you to do such a thing. One can easily detect them by the time they put it to you stating all the benefits, stating all the steps that should be taken, every task and its benefits.
They make you see light in all they are telling you when they themselves have not yet seen the light in it, they say all manners of stories just to ensure they get whatever they are trying to tell you sink into your head, they show you attainable heights that you will get to in no time but when you check very well you might be 10× better than the person standing in front of you at the stage which you are.
They show you pictures of what might not come as a reward for carrying a simple task. Stuffs like;
Travelling around the world when they themselves have not even travelled out of a particular region. When you sit to observe some of these promises you discover they are all lies. Why? Because the platform in which they are trying to introduce to you has no bases, no root and doesn't even have a standard foundation.
I once met a guy who asked me if I had a dream.
Yes of course, I answered. So he began to explain some empowerment scheme that will benefit me but when I assessed the guy even from his physical appearance I could tell that the guy in question is yet to discover his own dream, so I did not even waste my time to listen to whatever he had to say, I just told him, I have got better things to do than listening to him.
I once was invited for an interview where we sat to listen to someone making all kinds of promises and assuring us of a better future if only we could go with his bidding.
I was angry deep down inside of me because if that was what was stated in the invitation letter I wouldn't have wasted my time, money and energy to go and listen to some sort of stupid promises that will never materialize.
A platform where you are asked to bring 2 people and the 2 people you brought are also expected to bring 2 people each and as this hierarchy is being set one is expected to achieve some certain benefits like travelling around the world acquiring some luxury cars and houses.
I quietly and watch at the same time listening but knowing fully well that I will not be convinced into doing that shit, I believe in hard work and all what was mentioned at that gathering can not just come easily. Anyone who tells you stuff like that comes just by doing some simple task such as these then it's some kind of joke.
That's some kind of scam zone to me.
Like how on earth will one not work instead all he does is just to look for people who will register under him and all of a sudden he becomes a millionaire. I looked at the facilitator closely but I saw nothing good in what he was saying as he himself doesn't look like someone who is doing well.
They can be easily recognised for their constant repetition of benefits that can be only be imagined, dreams that will not come into reality
I once entered a shop to get a pair of shoes for myself. I was surprised at how swift I paid for something that I later discovered wasn't all that necessary for my use.
I just laughed at myself on getting home like “fck”, this guy is fcking good at what he does, how did I end up getting a pant instead of a sneaker, but then I wasn't forced whatever decision I took at that moment was out of a willing heart and without chaos I collected what I did not want at the moment. Just because the shop owner does not have what I want, he made me buy what I did not want.
You can easily dictate them from all sorts of stories they will tell you, they say all manners of things just to bring you to agreement of doing things that will favour them.
