How was your New Year Hiveans?
It's already January but I haven't shared my Christmas and New Year trip yet, probably this week.
Last Christmas after the small feast, I was able to visit Saint John Cathedral after a very long time. If I'm not mistaken, that was 2019 the last time I visited the church. Don't get me wrong, there is Saint Theresa near my place, so it's where I usually offer my prayers. The church is just a walking distance from home.
After offering my prayer, I headed to The Peak Tram terminal located on the further side from the church. Since it was Christmas, there were a lot of visitors aiming to ride on the peak tram going to Victoria Peak, our ideal destination. This allows passengers to visit the peak in just 5 minutes compared to 1-hour travel by bus. However, the fare is quite expensive.
The terminus has engagement spots for visitors lining in a long queue not to get bored. Outside the ticket booth for Madam Tussauds Museum is the wax statue of the popular Hollywood actor Vin Diesel. The other wax statue is another celebrity whom I am not familiar with 😅. Can anyone tell me his name? It is located outside the museum on the Peak Tower.
On the right side is the display of the tram car's new control system. It says that the new tram traveling from the Central to the Peak terminus is the 6th generation which was developed just last year. On the other side is a model of the very first carriage before tram cars were developed.
I had fun riding this 6th generation tram car. My Christmas day was spent at Victoria Peak where I will share one of these days.
