I had the opportunity to live in La Paz Bolivia for 2 years, from this place I have beautiful memories of places and people.
This time I will tell you about my visit to the Andean highlands. We went to Copacabana, after reaching the Strait of Tiquina and riding the car in some boats. Upon reaching the other end, after driving for a long time, we entered Copacabana, where Lake Titicaca is located, which shares a border with Peru.
The next day we hire the Tours, which take tourists and visitors to see the Island of the Sun and the Island of the Moon.
It is said that this place is the origin of the Inca civilization and the islands are located in the middle of Lake Titicaca on the Bolivian side.
This is where the Inca civilization originated with Manco Cápac and Mama Ocllo, who were the kings of this empire over the lands of the Island of the Moon.
It was a magical experience on Isla del Sol, from the pier you walk to the Inca Stairs and the Inca Fountain, there I had a very strange experience and going down the stairs I looked to my right side and I could see people working and plowing the land , dressed in traditional costumes, but actually I think it was a vision because there was no one there.
After this we got back on the boat and from there we went to explore and see the island of the Moon which is the end of the tour. There we could see adobe houses with small doors and windows. In other words, for people of short stature and we visited some Inca ruins in the shape of an amphitheater, known as Iúak Uyu.
Its construction is made of stones settled in adobe and paths protected by leafy eucalyptus trees.
Copacabana and Lake Titicaca are true wonders of nature and I recommend that you visit them if you have the opportunity.
