My birthday weekend is here and although just leading up to it, there was a stumbling block, if time has shown me anything; knowing that every bad situation is overpowered by the good things.
Tiffany and I, are almost two weeks into the aftermath of the car accident and we've been through our injury clinic visits routinely and hopefully soon, I will be looking at replacing the car that was totaled. I'm sure you know dealing with insurance companies and the inner workings is never pleasant, but it's what we have to do.
With all that said, early on; I was really down; because one of the results of the accident, was having to put my workouts on hold. If you know me by now, that is a punch in the gut and a mental strain.
Let's flip that to, I'm blessed that Tiffany and I came out of this in one piece. Cars can be replaced, lives can't. Workouts will be there as soon as I can back to it.
This happened on May 29th and Tiffany and I were heading back from a mini-road trip to Port Charlotte and on the day we were coming back home, the accident happened. Her 10 year old and 15 year old were with their father and didn't make the trip up with us. Blessing. They would have gotten badly injured, if they were in the car, since the damage was in the rear.
So, once we are clear headed and get through these obstacles throughout our journey's; I find it important, to be sensible and look at things from a blessing more than a curse. These things don't happen to us, because it's personal. It's personal, because it happens to us.
What that simply means, that we control the narrative, we control how we react and we control how to move forward without the setbacks keeping you there. Instead of things like this being setbacks, we succeed by resetting back to what we are striving to achieve. Regardless of what that may be.
It sure as hell hasn't stopped me from being active on HIVE, every single day and although; it has interrupted my health and fitness journey for a bit, all the years, I've put into it; has put me in a position to get back sooner than later.
This weekend, we are heading out to Boca Raton with the boys for my birthday and can't wallow on what happened a few weekends ago and although we can't workout, the doctor has approved some swimming. Call me Michael Phelps!!
Found this photo in my iPhone10 cameral roll and believe it was just one took of, behind our house. I like capturing these type of sky shots, regardless of where and when.
