When you're a fresh graduate, it's scary to think that you'll join the corporate world right away. For one, you'll be working with different kinds of people and you'll have to work with them whether you like their personalities and attitude or not. I felt the same fear when I joined the company I'm working for now but unconsciously that fear melted. As the days passed by, I found a friend and another one, and another one again until the entire floor of Sales and Marketing became not just workmates but a family.
And just like any other family, we always find a way to bond despite our busy schedules at work. One time we decided to rent an entire rest house somewhere in the southern part of Metro Cebu. There were two rooms huge rooms enough for all of us. If I remember it right, there were 19 of us who went.
We had a feast of delish food, a fun night spent trying to hit high notes that only rockstars would dare to do. I still have our videos from this night when we just sang our hearts out and it makes me laugh every time I rewatch them. We are sane individuals that go crazy beyond description when we're together. We did mess up with each other in the pool, too! Throwing/pushing each other in the pool, playing in and with the water, and stuff like that. I personally think that the best part of this rest house was the pool that's accessible to both rooms since it's in the middle of the property. To seal the night's party, there's alcohol for everyone who'd like to loosen up tensions and stress at work. I don't know what happened with the reservations, but I believe we ended up sleeping too close to each other because there was too little space for everyone. We were like sardines trying to fit in one small tin can. 😂 Nonetheless, it was fun and we had the best times of our lives.
