I just love today's vibe; it ain't too chill and it ain't too hectic. Just the right mix of activities for the rainy weather. That's right! These past few days I've been sharing, or should I say complaining, about the fiery summer we've been experiencing here in Cebu for the past few weeks. But since yesterday, it's been gloomy with scattered rain showers all throughout the day. Guess, it's a great day to continue our Bohol adventure!
The last time we were in Bohol, we visited the Eiffel Tower, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Statue of Liberty and the Merlion in Singapore. Who would've thought that we could visit all these world-class destinations in a single day without paying thousands of dollars? It felt like a real accomplishment.
I couldn't remember a time in the past when I dreamed of visiting other countries. In fact, when asked what destinations outside of the Philippines I'm eyeing to visit one day, I only have one destination in mind. And that's Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família or simply Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. Thanks to Dao Ming Si and Shan Cai or Meteor Garden, at least I have one dream destination in mind. 🤣 But the drive to travel abroad is as low as zero percent (0%). Last weekend, I saw one of my friends visit an isolated island in Northern Luzon; I also came across a post of another friend who recently visited Rome and it was clear to me: I'm more jealous of that friend who went to Calayan! One day, I'll visit that island, too!
Going back to Bohol's Mirror of the World, just when we thought we'd exhausted all destinations they brought to life in Bohol, we were wrong. We went ahead and checked out their flawlessly built Golden Gate Bridge of California where we spent some time taking photos. It was difficult to take photos without photobombers; it's all about timing and speed! You can spot in my photos Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro that stood on the tallest hill inside the garden. My colleagues were too tired to get to the top of the hill, so I went alone. The view from the topmost section was superb; you can gauge how we they planned and organized the entire garden leaving breathable spaces for tourists. A colorful take of the Dutch Windmills of The Netherlands occupied a space in the botanical garden, too. I tried looking for my workmates and when I could no longer see them from the hill, I reckoned they went out and left me. At this point, I haven't checkout out the one attraction. I ran fast to get there! Of course, I shouldn't miss London’s Big Ben.
It turned out they were just eating snacks outside, and I was all sweaty trying to catch them. HAHA 🤣
