"If you set your goals ridiculously high and it's a failure, you will fail above everyone else's success."
James Cameron
Unlike the last two posts in this series, this time, I chose a quote by someone who I am familiar with (although I just found out he is Canadian, something I didn't know).
James Cameron is a famous filmmaker and is often referred to as one of the most innovative people in the business. He had been "away" from the big screens for a while but made his come back with Avatar: The Way of The Water, the sequel to 2009 Avatar, a movie that changed the industry forever.
I had never heard or seen this quote before but I like it very much. The main idea is that if you set stupid high goals and only get to, let's say, 50% of the way, you will most likely still accomplish more than what ordinary people do when they go 100% on mediocre goals; hence, failing above everyone else's success.
Be careful to balance your frustration because not reaching your goals can have an impact on you, but overall, I think it's a great mindset to live by.
