“The difference between how I feel before my first set in the gym and how I feel after my first set is enormous.
You don't even need a full workout (or work session, etc.) to feel good again. You are 5 minutes away from putting your day on a completely different trajectory.”
James Clear
For me, getting started is the biggest challenge. There is a concept in chemistry called activation energy (yes, I'm a nerd). I won't go deep into this concept but basically, it's the amount of energy required for a chemical reaction to start.
Once you reach that level of energy, the reaction will begin and from that point, it will be very hard to stop it.
This same concept applies to me in most things in life. I sometimes struggle to get something started which leads me to procrastination but when I finally decided to sit my ass and focus for whatever reason I get into a flow that i like to call productivity god mode and when that happens I am unstoppable.
The real challenge is finding that "activation energy" and it's something I have yet to master. When I do, nothing will be beyond my reach.
