One of my earliest blogs back then was about my trip to Myanmar. Traveling solo to Myanmar in 2017 had been a ball. I have a friend based in Yangon so I planned my trip such that it ends in the capital city. I started my journey in Mandalay followed by Inle Lake, then Bagan, and finally Yangon. The locals were so welcoming and friendly. Staff working at the accommodation that I booked earlier online will just cordially help me carry my backpack into my room without me having to ask them at all. Such impeccable customer service.

Too bad that I lost most of my precious photographs taken on that trip. Yesterday, I managed to recover some so I've decided to store them on HIVE. Bupaya is a rather significant temple in Bagan. The adorable shape of the pagoda attracted me to this temple. It is located on the edges of the Irrawaddy River so the view here is stunning. Built during the reign of King Pyusawhti who ruled from 168 to 243 AD. According to legend, young Pyusawhti solved the problem of a type of gourd-like plant infesting the Irrawaddy river so as a reward, the then-ruler of Bagan allowed him to marry his daughter. That was the reason Pyusawhti later became King. The original structure of the Bupaya Pagoda was damaged during an earthquake back in 1975.
