Greetings, HIVE people!
I am here to participate in the #QuarantineLife Initiative proposed by @theycallmedan and How are you spending your quarantine? by @derangedvisions.
I live in Italy and therefore the coronavirus impact has strongly shaken my life.
I think you all know that my country has been one of the most affected by the epidemic and for some weeks now we have been implementing countermeasures to try to stop the propagation of the virus.
To be more precise, I live near Naples, in the south of Italy, in a territory that has not yet been cut down by the virus. While in Lombardy, for example, the numbers of the emergency are frighteningly dramatic (over 40000 infected and just under 7000 dead people), here in Campania we have had so far about 2000 infections and 135 deceased people. In a territory that has about 6 million inhabitants, it's a restrained number, considering what is happening in the other areas.
It must also be said that it's necessary to continue to strictly respect the lockdown, because the next few weeks will make us understand if we will have a drop in the infections or if the peak has not yet arrived and the situation will worsen. Fingers crossed 🤞
My city in lockdown
Personally, I have had to make many changes to my daily lifestyle. In fact I am a sales agent in the pharmaceutical sector and normally my job leads me to be outside every day, it means that I meet many people and I rarely spend many consecutive days without going out. For 3 weeks, however, I have been working from home, on the phone, via e-mail or WhatsApp.
As mentioned, I work with pharmacies, which are currently being stormed by people looking for masks, sanitizers, immunostimulants, as well as all the drugs and devices already commonly used for pathologies and for daily needs.
Understand that it's not easy to find a contact point with an interlocutor who works in a hellish climate and risks being infected every minute, while carrying out his profession (all my solidarity goes to pharmacists friends...hold on, we will go out soon from this nightmare 💪).
It's also true, however, that almost all commercial activities are closed and the fact to have as customers some of the few active business categories, allows me not to completely interrupt my work and therefore to have a less traumatic economic impact than others.
Meetings and contacts with the company I work with are also in remote mode.
Here I am while I'm in one of the many conference calls of the last few days with my colleagues.
Forced stay at home also allows me to be more with my family.
I have two children and I spend much more time with them than usual during this period. Of course, it's also a very demanding activity, because, like me, they too are forced to stay at home. I realize that especially Leonardo, who is almost 3 years old, would like to go out and play outside. So it's always necessary to have something fun to propose, to make the imagination work and try to lighten the situation so as not to make them weigh too much.
Although there is always a lot of chaos and the atmosphere is rarely silent, it's nice to be with them all the time and I'm sure this will be one of the things I will miss most when all this ends and we will return to normal routine.
Given the difficulties that there are in shopping and especially in requesting home delivery of food, another activity that is taking up my time in this period is the kitchen.
Not exactly the whole kitchen, for the truth, but that which concerns the production of pizza at home.
As a good Neapolitan, I am a pizza enthusiast and, together with my wife, I am experimenting with many recipes, looking for the perfect pizza at home. I must say that the results are always better, so this activity is giving me a lot of satisfaction.
I don't want to spoil now, because I'm going to write one or more posts on the method I'm using to cook pizza at home,so that it's as similar as possible to that of a pizzeria.

Another activity that I gladly resumed in these weeks is blogging.
In my first year of militancy on the Steem blockchain, I was really very active in the Italian @steempostitalia community and I also wrote with some continuity. Then, for about a year I stopped, simply because my work commitments and family needs took even longer and made this activity impossible. So I dedicated myself to curation and some dapps like Drugwars, but I stopped publishing my posts and delegated the projects I had created to my friends in the community.
Now I have some free time and I'm using it to resume...I write at night, while my children sleep or when I have less office work to do...in short, as soon as I can. And I'm glad it happened with the launch of HIVE, let's say it's an extra stimulus.
About this, I would open a small parenthesis to report to @theycallmedan and @derangedvisions the charity initiative HIVE for Italy, that I launched in my post on Sunday in favor of the Croce Rossa Italiana.
Dan and Wes, the link of my post is here and if you think it may be a good idea, I kindly ask you to speak to the witnesses, to your communities and your large audience.
Unfortunately, so far it has not gone exactly as I expected, but perhaps with your help, things can improve.

Having said that, we have come to the end of my post.
Although it's a difficult time and I hope it will pass soon, I am sure that I will remember it even with a hint of nostalgia.

Salve, popolo di HIVE!
Sono qui per partecipare all'iniziativa #QuarantineLife proposta da @theycallmedan e a How are you spending your quarantine? di @derangedvisions.
Vivo in Italia e quindi l'impatto del coronavirus ha fortemente scosso la mia vita.
Credo sappiate tutti che la mia nazione è stata una delle più colpite dall'epidemia e già da alcune settimane stiamo attuando delle contromisure per tentare di arrestare la diffusione del virus.
Per essere più precisi, io vivo vicino Napoli, nel sud dell'Italia, in un territorio che non è stato finora falcidiato dal virus. Mentre in Lombardia, per esempio, i numeri dell'emergenza sono di una drammaticità spaventosa (ad oggi, oltre 40.000 contagiati e poco meno di 7000 deceduti), qui in Campania abbiamo avuto finora circa 2000 contagi e 135 persone che non ce l'hanno fatta. In un territorio che conta circa 6 milioni di abitanti, è un numero contenuto, considerando quanto sta accadendo in altre zone. C'è anche da dire che è necessario continuare a rispettare rigorosamente il lockdown, perché saranno proprio le prossime settimane a farci capire se avremo una discesa dei contagi o se semplicemente non è arrivato ancora il picco e la situazione si aggraverà . Incrociamo le dita 🤞
Personalmente, ho dovuto apportare molti cambiamenti al mio stile di vita quotidiano. Infatti io sono un agente di commercio nel settore farmaceutico e normalmente il mio lavoro mi porta ad essere in giro tutti i giorni, comporta che io incontri molte persone e raramente mi permette di trascorrere molti giorni consecutivi senza uscire. Da 3 settimane, invece, sto lavorando da casa, al telefono, tramite e-mail o WhatsApp.
Come detto, io lavoro con le farmacie, che in questo momento sono prese d'assalto dalle persone che cercano mascherine, igienizzanti, immunostimolanti, oltre a tutti i farmaci e i dispositivi già comunemente usati per le patologie e per le esigenze quotidiane.
Capirete bene che non è facile riuscire a trovare un punto di contatto con un interlocutore che lavora in un clima infernale e rischia di essere contagiato ogni minuto, mentre svolge la sua professione (agli amici farmacisti va tutta la mia solidarietà ...tenete duro, usciremo presto da quest'incubo 💪).
E' anche vero, però, che quasi tutte le attività commerciali sono chiuse e avere come clienti alcuni dei pochi business attivi, mi permette di non interrompere del tutto il mio lavoro e quindi di avere un impatto economico meno traumatico di altri.
Anche le riunioni e i contatti con l'azienda con la quale collaboro sono in modalità remota.
Eccomi, per esempio, mentre sono impegnato in una delle tante conference call di questi ultimi giorni con i miei colleghi.
La permanenza forzata a casa mi da' anche la possibilità di stare di più con la mia famiglia.
Ho due bimbi e trascorro molto più tempo del solito con loro in questo periodo. Di certo, è anche un'attività molto impegnativa, perché come me, anche loro sono costretti a rimanere in casa e mi accorgo che soprattutto Leonardo, che ha quasi 3 anni, vorrebbe uscire a giocare fuori. Quindi è necessario avere sempre qualcosa di divertente da proporre, far lavorare la fantasia e cercare di alleggerire la situazione per far sì che a loro non pesi troppo.
Anche se c'è sempre molto caos e raramente l'atmosfera è silenziosa, è bello stare con loro tutto il tempo e sono sicuro che questa sarà una delle cose che mi mancherà di più quando tutto questo finirà e torneremo alla normale routine.
Viste le difficoltà che ci sono nel fare la spesa e soprattutto nel richiedere consegne di cibo a domicilio, un'altra attività che sta occupando il mio tempo in questo periodo, è la cucina.
Non proprio tutta la cucina, perla verità , bensì quella che riguarda la produzione della pizza fatta in casa.
Da buon napoletano, sono un appassionato di pizza e, insieme a mia moglie, sto sperimentando molte ricette, alla ricerca della perfetta pizza a casa. Devo dire che i risultati sono sempre migliori, quindi quest'attività mi sta riservando molte soddisfazioni.
Non voglio spoilerare adesso, perché ho intenzione di scrivere uno o più post sul metodo che sto utilizzando per cuocere la pizza in modo che sia quanto più simile possibile a quella di una pizzeria.
Intanto, lascio qui in anteprima una foto di una delle nostre pizze in cottura. Se vi sembra interessante e volete vedere qual è il risultato, continuate a seguirmi e presto ne saprete di più.
Altra attività che ho ripreso volentieri in queste settimana è il blogging.
Nel mio primo anno di militanza sulla blockchain di Steem, sono stato davvero molto attivo nella community italiana di @steempostitalia e scrivevo anche con una certa continuità . Poi, per circa un anno mi sono fermato, semplicemente perché i miei impegni lavorativi e le esigenze familiari hanno richiesto ancora più tempo e hanno reso impossibile quest'attività . Così mi sono dedicato alla curation e a qualche dapp come Drugwars, ma ho interrotto la pubblicazione dei miei post e ho delegato ai miei amici della community i progetti che avevo creato.
Adesso ho un po' di tempo libero e lo sfrutto per riprendere...scrivo di notte, mentre i miei figli dormono o quando ho meno lavoro d'ufficio da fare...insomma, appena posso. E sono contento che sia capitato proprio con il lancio di HIVE, diciamo che è uno stimolo in più.
A proposito di questo, apro una piccola parentesi per segnalare a @theycallmedan e a @derangedvisions l'iniziativa benefica HIVE for Italy, che ho lanciato nel mio post di domenica a favore della Croce Rossa Italiana.
Dan e Wes, vi lascio qui il link del mio post e se pensate che possa essere una buona idea, vi chiedo gentilmente di farvene portavoce verso i witness, le comunità di cui fate parte e verso la vostra grande platea.
Purtroppo finora non è andata proprio come mi aspettavo ma, magari, con il vostro aiuto, le cose possono migliorare. Mi piacerebbe poter donare a nome della comunità una cifra che non sia misera. Inutile dirvi che potete contattarmi in qualsiasi momento e sono a vostra disposizione per qualunque chiarimento.
Detto questo, siamo giunti alla conclusione del mio post.
Anche se è un momento difficile e spero che passi presto, sono sicuro che me lo ricorderò anche con un pizzico di nostalgia.

Ci vediamo tra qualche tempo al parco, allo stadio, al bar o dove volete voi. Ma non oggi e neanche domani.
