Starting my vegetable garden in September was a long-held dream turned into reality. Visiting the local nursery with limited knowledge about vegetable plants, I chose seedlings of patty pans, broccoli, and lettuce. With the soil prepared and the seedlings neatly planted in rows, my husband set up a sprinkling system, and we crossed our fingers for a successful garden.
To our surprise, the patty pans thrived abundantly, growing as large as burger buns and spreading their happiness across the garden. Encouraged by this success, I decided to expand the garden further. Cherry tomatoes, spinach, cucumber, and green peppers joined the vegetable family.
The anticipation of watching these new additions grow and flourish adds an extra layer of excitement to each day. As they develop, I eagerly await the day when I can harvest and enjoy the literal fruits of my labor. Stay tuned for updates on the progress of these newcomers to my vegetable haven!
