A few days ago surfing the web looking for some inspiration to create an article I found some very interesting statements, in these statements a person who claimed that if people get to know the identity of satoshi nakamoto, the price of bitcoin would fall to zero dollars. these statements made me think about the possibility that such information is negative and irreversible for bitcoin, also based on these statements I came up with three questions I want to share with you
The first question that i come to mind is: could Bitcoin lose its value?
For a long time bitcoin has been gaining popularity and has been gaining ground mainly because it allows the reservation of value outside of any government control, in that sense people began to use it as a payment system worldwide. The very low network fees and the speed of transfers made this payment system an option for all users, many people who currently use bitcoin as a payment system have no idea who satoshi nakamoto is, and do not care much about who he is, so this kind of information for those who are using bitcoin on a regular basis would not be of great importance or relevance.
The second question that comes to mind is: is bitcoin still dependent on its Creator?
I believe that bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem developed and grew as the modern web did, in that sense the creator of bitcoin as well as the creator of the web do not have control or much impact on their creations, we have to remember that cryptocurrencies are merging with the web to form a kind of hybrid, in which the money or payment system par excellence in the modern web are cryptocurrencies. That is why I am convinced that both cryptocurrencies and the web are creations that go far beyond their creators.
the third question is: what is my opinion of this person's statements?
In my opinion this person and all those who make statements like this in which they claim that bitcoin will cost zero dollars, due to some mysterious information, has one of two motivations, the first is to make or create sensational news that make the price of BTC fall in value and then they can buy BTC cheaper, with this technique they manage to accumulate more bitcoin. the second motivation is that these people all their lives have been immersed in the fiat system of investment, so learning a new industry is not special for them.
they are a very conservative type of people that instead of learning how this technology is changing the world, they only issue opinions against a whole industry, without any information or logical argument. on the other hand i understand that cryptocurrencies are a difficult industry to understand even for those who have grown up with it, so every time the market gets stronger, the whole ecosystem will have new attacks that try to reduce its value or slow down the progress.
In conclusion, there will always be people who do not understand how new technologies change the way we see and do things, so every time the market gets stronger, the attacks from those who do not understand what is happening become more intense. I think it is a way of trying to stop things from moving forward and stay as they are today.
