This song use to be our anthem in my fellowship, we use to sing it very well because of course,that's the yearning of our heart. We sang it everywhere and everyday, we dance to it, we chant it, God bless the composer of this song. But am sure, this wasn't just composed out of emotions, it was received and birthed from a deep place of intimacy, wee I see why it's called intimacy 😂
God desires a fellowship with us and all we can do is to give God our time and our sacrifice of time. We cannot do that except we are helped. Jesus said we cannot go to him except we are called, he also said that we didn't choose him, but he chose us, so it's not even something that began from us. God is the one who calls those who fellowship with him.
So we are basically praying to God to help us, teach us to fellowship with him. It's something that is progressive, so you can't learn the "how", if you notice the song didn't say help me to know how to ....but rather help to fellowship.
One can know something and not do it, one can have something and not engage it. We must engage in this love relationship with the father because that is his number one heart desire.
