Hola amigos de Sound Music y de Liketu, ya arrancamos el mes de septiembre y para inyectarle más energía les doy la bienvenida a la sección "Mi Colección Musical". Como bien saben hemos venido hablando de la banda Blink 182, hoy continuamos con ellos y es que les traigo su 1er álbum en vivo luego del rotundo éxito del disco "Enema of the State". En este disco encontramos grandes éxitos de sus 3 primeras producciones discográficas y una canción de estudio llamada "Man Overboard".
Este disco se lanzó en noviembre del año 2000, justo un año y medio después del disco anterior que los llevó a viajar por todo el mundo. Este disco se grabó durante 2 noches de concierto en California como apertura a una gran gira que le esperaba a la banda desde su ciudad natal. The Mark, Tom and Travis Show cuenta con 19 canciones en vivo y cierra con el sencillo promocional que hizo debutar al disco en los primeros lugares de las carteleras musicales y en ventas en su primera semana de lanzamiento.
El disco tiene un sonido impecable, puedes sentir la emoción del concierto y las voces del público se escuchan como si estuvieras en el propio lugar; la velocidad con que tocan las canciones es épica, Travis Barker se luce indiscutiblemente y en medio de algunas canciones los chicos incluso hacen bromas para hacer reír a los asistentes.
Hablando del sencillo "Man Overboard" es como escuchar una canción navideña en punk, es muy buena, su riff principal en bajo y guitarra logra cautivarte y la batería es simplemente magistral. El video de esta canción fue estrenado en MTV y la receptividad fue muy buena, ya que era una parodia a los videos lanzados previamente en el disco anterior, si no lo has visto, búscalo, es genial!!!
Este disco me trae recuerdos muy bonitos justamente de la navidad del año 2000, en ese momento estaba muy feliz porque había viajado aquí a Colombia desde mi país Venezuela, a visitar a mi abuela materna, ya que para esas fechas era común que viniéramos a disfrutar las fiestas decembrinas en familia. En una salida a un centro comercial vi que vendían el disco y no dude en comprarlo; algo que me gustó mucho fue que compré una edición distinta a la estándar, debido a que la presentación no era un estuche de acrílico, era en cartón duro y se veía muy genial, bueno en las fotos lo pueden apreciar, además de que el arte del mismo sin duda es increíble.
Me encanta escuchar de vez en cuando este disco a todo volumen por la energía que transmite, si eres fan de esta banda sabrás a qué me refiero. Es un disco que recomiendo totalmente y más si te gusta escuchar a las bandas en vivo.

Hello friends of Sound Music and Liketu, we started the month of September and to inject more energy I welcome you to the section "My Music Collection". As you know we have been talking about the band Blink 182, today we continue with them and I bring you their 1st live album after the resounding success of the album "Enema of the State". In this album we find great hits from their first 3 albums and a studio song called "Man Overboard".
This album was released in November 2000, just a year and a half after the previous album that took them touring all over the world. This album was recorded during 2 nights of concert in California as an opening act for a big tour that awaited the band from their hometown. The Mark, Tom and Travis Show features 19 live songs and closes with the promotional single that made the album debut at the top of the charts and in sales in its first week of release.
The album has an impeccable sound, you can feel the excitement of the concert and the voices of the audience are heard as if you were in the same place; the speed with which they play the songs is epic, Travis Barker shines unquestionably and in the middle of some songs the guys even make jokes to make the audience laugh.
Talking about the single "Man Overboard" is like listening to a Christmas song in punk, it is very cool, its main riff in bass and guitar manages to captivate you and the drums are simply masterful. The video for this song was premiered on MTV and the reception was very good, as it was a parody of the videos previously released on the previous album, if you haven't seen it, look it up, it's great!!!!
This album brings back very nice memories of Christmas 2000, at that time I was very happy because I had traveled here to Colombia from my country Venezuela, to visit my maternal grandmother, since at that time it was common that we came to enjoy the holidays with the family. On an outing to a shopping mall I saw that they were selling the album and I did not hesitate to buy it; something that I really liked was that I bought a different edition than the standard, because the presentation was not an acrylic case, it was in hard cardboard and it looked very cool, well in the photos you can appreciate it, plus the art of it is certainly amazing.
I love to listen to this album from time to time at full volume because of the energy it transmits, if you are a fan of this band you will know what I mean. It is an album that I totally recommend and more if you like to listen to live bands.
