Hello friends of Hive and Sound Music community members. I welcome you all to my page. My name is @oluthomas.
We are in week 71 of the Praise and Worship Weekly Prompt with a theme tagged “Unveiled Glory” given by bleizae. In simple terms, unveiled glory is bringing to life what has once been dead or cold. But with this theme, we should ask ourselves what exactly are we unveiling? We are unveiling the glory of God that has departed from a church that once walked in the fear of God, a church that could stand its ground and remain unshaken in the face of trials. It is the unveiling of a church that does not care whether they live or die, but whose sole aim and objective is to see Jesus revealed and to win as many souls for Christ as possible.
For this week, I sang a cover of “Saturate My Heart” by Godstime E. Okorie.
This song reflects the essence of unveiling the glory of God. There is a mighty and massive glory upon the life of every believer, but it will not simply show up on its own. It takes time, growth, and a deep walk with God. And when it begins to shine forth, no darkness can dim it.
When Jesus came into the world to die for the sins of mankind, the devil tried in every possible way to block His glory from being revealed. Yet, all his efforts returned void. From the birth of Jesus to His death and resurrection, the enemy kept trying and that is one attribute of the devil: he never gives up easily. If he fails once, he will try again, hoping to find a weak spot.
But thanks be to God, for in Jesus Christ we are victorious! The glory of God was so visible in Jesus that no one could cover it. It was a bright light that shone in the midst of darkness, and the darkness could not and will never comprehend it.
When the glory of God is unveiled, there will be no words to fully describe it. Human language will fail, and men will only stand in dismay lacking what to say because of the manifold presence and glory of God and seeing the hand of God at work in mortal lives. This is the kind of glory that heals the sick, transforms hearts, revives the church, and draws people closer to Christ. I pray we all, as believers, continue to seek this glory and live in a way that it can be revealed through us. Amen
Thanks for stopping by friends one love
LYRICS
O Immanuel
O Immanuel
Saturate my heart
Cause an overflow
O Immanuel
O Immanuel
Saturate my heart
Cause an overflow
Dwell your word in me
So I can gladly live your days
Reveal your truth in me
So i can clearly know your ways
Make me over spirit
So you can cause an overflow
O Immanuel
Dwell your word in me
So I can gladly live your days
Reveal your truth in me
So i can clearly know your ways
Make me over spirit of God
So you can cause an overflow
O Immanuel
O Immanuel
O Immanuel
Saturate my heart
Cause and overflow
