It was a May 22nd like any other, but on that day, 15 years ago, a transaction took place that would change everything. For the first time, someone used Bitcoin to buy something real and what they bought was nothing more and nothing less than two pizzas for 10,000 BTC.
That purchase 15 years ago changed everything and gave a boost to the world of cryptocurrencies and that is why every May 22 the Global Pizza Party is celebrated worldwide, obviously Venezuela was no exception and among the celebrations that took place in the great Caracas I attended the one that took place in the Hatillo, specifically in Vida Verde (@vida.verde) place where my sister @cvnuitter and my brother-in-law @arrozymangophoto live, who were the ones who five years ago invited me to HIVE.
As the intention is to celebrate this day with others, I took the opportunity to invite other friends present at HIVE as @brujita18, @dayadam, @orimusic and @nahupuku, with some setbacks by the terrible traffic yesterday and having to spend looking for some details of the event, that happens to me for being family, we arrived at the place where what is left over is nature.
The call managed to gather 80 people between HIVE users and some who have nothing to do with web 3, so it was the perfect time for some of those present to make HIVE known, as it certainly changed our lives and the good things are shared.
Among the organizers and leaders of @rutablockchain (@danielvehe and @enmy) gave a brief introduction to the platform, the history of the celebration and some active projects within HIVE, @mundomanaure insisted on the importance of incorporating the Fine Arts to HIVE and how this platform allowed us to start again.
There was no shortage of music from DJs and live singers, with performances such as @melitzamusic and @manuelmusic and @dimeilaz was invited to sing, I didn't hear @ylich sing and if he did it was at some point when the flu I have made me stay away from the rest, I also shared with @miriannalis with whom it is always nice to talk, because she is a cheerful and very positive woman.
The atmosphere was great, with lots of positive energy, for those who love spirits there was beer, some paid with debit, others with foreign currency and the best thing is that they accepted HBD so that HIVE users had no excuses, the pizzas arrived late, I presume because of traffic and maybe they didn't have enough staff, but the wait was worth it, because they were delicious.
In the lower part of the grounds they lit a bonfire something that those of us who live in the city can not enjoy regularly, so the atmosphere was just lovely, from my humble opinion I think we should not wait for celebrations like this to meet, it is and will always be good that HIVE users meet to share and discuss things both our beloved web 3 and our personal life, the hours flew by and although I had to travel a few miles to meet with this group every inch I traveled was worth it, it was a wonderful experience.
Era un 22 de mayo como cualquier otro, pero ese día, hace 15 años, se realizó una transacción que lo cambiaría todo. Por primera vez, alguien usó Bitcoin para comprar algo real y lo que compró fue nada más y nada menos que dos pizzas por 10.000 BTC.
Esa compra de hace 15 años cambio todo y le dio un empuje al mundo de las criptomonedas y por eso cada 22 de mayo se celebra a nivel mundial el Global Pizza Party, obviamente Venezuela no fue la excepción y entre las celebraciones que se dieron en la gran Caracas asistí a la que se dio en el Hatillo, específicamente en Vida Verde (@vida.verde) lugar en el que habitan mi hermana @cvnuitter y mi cuñado @arrozymangophoto, quienes fueron los hace cinco años me invitaron a HIVE.
Como la intensión es celebrar este día junto a otros, aproveche para invitar a otros amigos presentes en HIVE como @brujita18, @dayadam, @orimusic y @nahupuku, con algunos contratiempos por el terrible tráfico de ayer y al tener que pasar buscando algunos detalles del evento, eso me pasa por ser de la familia, llegamos al lugar donde lo que sobra es naturaleza.
La convocatoria logró reunir a 80 personas entre usuarios de HIVE y algunos que no tienen nada que ver con la web 3, así que era el momento perfecto para que algunos de los presentes dieran a conocer a HIVE, ya que sin duda nos cambió la vida y lo bueno se comparte.
Entre los organizadores y líderes de @rutablockchain (@danielvehe y @enmy) dieron a conocer en breves palabras la plataforma, la historia de la celebración y algunos proyectos activos dentro de HIVE, por parte @mundomanaure nos insistió en la importancia de incorporar las Bellas Artes a HIVE y como esta plataforma nos permitió comenzar de nuevo.
No falto la música tanto de DJ, como de cantantes en vivo, con performances como el de @melitzamusic y @manuelmusic además de que invitaron a cantar a @dimeilaz, al que no escuche cantar fue a @ylich y si lo hizo fue en algún momento en el que la gripe que tengo me hizo alejarme del resto, compartí también con @miriannalis con quien siempre es grato conversar, porque es una mujer alegre y muy positiva.
El ambiente estuvo genial, con mucha energía positiva, para los que aman las bebidas espirituosas hubo cerveza algunos pagaron con débito, otros con divisas y lo mejor es que aceptaron HBD para que los usuarios de HIVE no tuvieran excusas, las pizzas llegaron tarde, presumo que por el tráfico y tal vez no tenían suficiente personal, pero la espera lo valió, pues estaban deliciosas.
En la parte baja del terreno encendieron una fogata algo de lo que los que vivimos en la ciudad no podemos disfrutar con regularidad, así que el ambiente fue simplemente encantador, desde mi humilde opinión creo que no deberíamos esperar celebraciones como esta para reunirnos siempre es y será bueno que los usuarios de HIVE nos reunamos para compartir y comentar cosas tanto de nuestra querida web 3 como de nuestra vida personal, las horas pasaron volando y aunque tuve que recorrer unos cuantos kilómetros para poder reunirme con este grupo cada centímetro que recorrí lo valió, pues fue una experiencia maravillosa.
