Free pizza, Hive merch, HBD cashback, offers, and an amazing community. What more could you ask for?
That would be the summary of our Bitcoin Pizza Day in Havana(sound better as Hive Pizza Party uh?)
In 2024, we had another incredible event—fewer people, smaller, but just as amazing.
2025
May arrived, and the HiveCuba community had not yet gathered in 2025. Something strange, but sometimes it’s impossible; life moves at a million miles an hour.
Surely Manu wouldn’t let a date like 22/5 pass by; he loves to celebrate his birthday.Just kidding!
Bitcoin Pizza Day is just an excuse to get together and enjoy good company and pizza, right?

HiveCuba has grown and consolidated so much that since last year, the pizzas are covered by the community.
Yes, you read that right: Free Pizzas!! Impossible to say no to that, right?
You come for the pizza and stay for everything else, but not for the pizzas.
La Flor de Zapata
One of the places that accepts HBD in Havana and has become the HQ of HiveCuba.

Although the place is small in size, it is immense in quality. As I’ve said before...
A cozy plate with affordable prices (10% discount for cryptocurrency payments) and the possibility of using Distriator.
You take the cashback and power it up ;) but don’t take my word for it.
HiveCuba
This year, other partners joined in, making the Meetup even more incredible for those of us who attended.
Although networking and hearing different viewpoints and experiences inside and outside Hive is the best part of these events.
This year, HiveCuba has been bringing surprises after surprises, and we all appreciate that.
At Bitcoin Pizza Day, we learned about HiveDebit.

For those of us who accept payments in HBD or Hive, this is a game changer. I believe it will also be very good for achieving greater adoption. It’s still in its early stages, but I really liked it.
Even though it’s just the beginning of the year, seeing more than 30 people gathered shows the great work the whole community is doing (everyone contributing their bit).
Seeing new faces and their activity in the ecosystem speaks volumes about the work of HiveCuba and Manu.
I can’t forget to mention the educational project FiveSense, which always brings interesting content, and Hallgraph, which returns to Hive to bring the best in design.
It was a pleasure to share a bit on such a special day with incredible people.
Reuniting with the creators I read daily and have known for a while is always a pleasant feeling. Laughter is abundant, and good vibes are always overflowing.
Hive is community, and in Cuba, we have plenty of it.

Will HiveCubaCon be able to surpass itself too? I have no doubt, but we’ll have to wait a few months for that.
According to Manu, we’ll be bringing it back at the end of August. Save the date, and if you can, stay tuned for this event.
If you made it this far, tell me how your Bitcoin Pizza Day was! I’d love to read your comments.
