Well, let's see. I'm going to try to focus on not writing an overly long post this time, not because it bothers me to do it or I'm worried that few people will read it, honestly I write for pure pleasure and the longer it is, the better I feel. But I want to have at least the main recaps ready before May 18, which is when all the contests on post on @buzzparty close and, if I don't summarize, I simply won't make it to the deadline. And yes, I'm moved by the competition hahahaha I have a lot of fun with all the challenges that @tibfox gets for these days and I want to give him a little bit of work when deciding hahahaha.
Besides, it seems to me that more than a competition and the enthusiasm we show for meeting each other through our blogs, these posts are a good way to check if the sponsored initiatives are a good idea and to let people know, through the attendees, what the funds destined to carry out the event were really used for.
So, let's get down to business. I will skip for now, most of the sensations and opinions about the talks presented that day, because as a speaker I have a lot to say about it, so I will save that for other more specific posts. So, to get to the point, I will talk about exactly what we are supposed to talk about here: food.
Today started in the best way, as I met one of the protagonists of our day before arriving at Spacelend, the meeting place. And it wasn't just that I passed her on the street, I caught her being a great example of what it means to be a passionate Hivian and committed to the communities in which she participates: making Hive Garden visible as a street sticker guerrilla hahahaha.
There was the great @akipponn doing her thing very stealthily when I gave her a scare 🤣 asking behind her back what she thought she was doing, forgive me but I couldn't help it, at the end I don't have a police voice or a local accent hahaha.
For a moment I thought my intrusion had annoyed her, because instead of continuing with me on my way to the event, she told me she would stop by to buy fresh local ingredients for a salad, I didn't quite understand why go shopping at that time, but it would all make sense at the end.
Bueno, a ver. Voy a intentar centrarme para no escribir una publicación demasiado larga esta vez, no porque me moleste hacerlo o me preocupe que pocos la lean, sinceramente escribo por puro placer y mientras más largo, mejor me siento. Pero quiero tener al menos los principales recap preparados antes de 18 de Mayo, que es cuando se cierran todos los concursos sobre post en @buzzparty y, si no sintetizo, simplemente no llego al deadline. Y sí, me mueve la competencia jajajaja me divierto mucho con todos los retos que consigue @tibfox para estos días y quiero darle un poquito de trabajo al momento de decidir jajajaja.
Además, me parece que más que una competición y el entusiasmo que mostramos por habernos encontrado a través de nuestros blogs, estos post son una buena forma de comprobar si las iniciativas patrocinadas son una buena idea y de dar a conocer, mediante los asistentes, para qué realmente se utilizó el fondo destinado para llevar a cabo el evento.
Así que, vamos al grano. Me voy a saltar por ahora, en su mayoría, las sensaciones y opiniones sobre las charlas presentadas ese día, pues como ponente tengo bastante que decir al respecto, así que eso lo dejaré para otros post más concreto. Ir al grano será entonces, hablar exactamente de lo que se supone vinimos a opinar aquí: comida.
Este día comenzó de la mejor manera, pues me encontré en primicia a una de las protagonistas de nuestra jornada en Spacelend, el lugar del encuentro. Y no solo fue que me la crucé en la calle sin más, la atrapé siendo un gran ejemplo de lo que es ser una Hivian apasionada y comprometida con las comunidades en las que participa: visibilizando a Hive Garden como toda una guerrillera de las pegatinas callejeras jajajaja.
Ahí estaba la gran @akipponn haciendo de las suyas muy sigilosamente cuando le di un susto 🤣 preguntando a sus espaldas que creía que estaba haciendo, perdóname pero no pude evitarlo, al final no tengo voz de policía ni acento local jajaja.
Por un momento creí que mi intromisión le había molestado, porque en vez de seguir conmigo camino del evento, me dijo que pasaría a comprar ingredientes locales frescos para una ensalada, no comprendí del todo por qué ir a la compra en ese momento, pero al final todo tendría sentido.
Welcome breakfast
The talks that day started at 10am, half an hour later than planned, mainly because we were all eager to talk to each other and, of course, to watch over the good functioning of the coffee machines, we had to put them to good use to encourage those who had not yet used their Hive cups to take away with a nice souvenir.
As during the previous day, and thanks to those who donated the single-dose cups for the machines, we had a good supply of coffee. With all the confidence in the world, whoever was arriving, could prepare his cup of coffee or tea with total tranquility.
But if you had arrived without having breakfast, there were also croissants, cookies and fruit to prevent your stomach from diverting your attention from the presentations that would take place that day due to lack of attention. There were no excuses, here we all are what we came for, except @akipponn, who had a more than acceptable excuse to listen to us only in the background, you'll see.
That day there was a lot of movement in the kitchen by the team in charge, between the talks, while we had a few minutes to go to the bathroom or get a snack (more coffee, basically), you could smell the aroma of the preparations for the meal we would have at the end of the first round of presentations. I don't know about everyone else, but to me from time to time the smell of food distracted me a bit from the rest of the action. 😅
Desayuno de bienvenida
Las charlas ese día comenzaron a las 10am, una media hora después de lo planeado, principalmente porque estábamos todos con ganas de hablar entre nosotros y, por supuesto de velar por el buen funcionamiento de las máquinas de café, teníamos que darle buen uso para animar a los que faltaban por usar sus tazas de Hive y se fueran con el bonito recuerdo.
Igual que durante el día anterior, y gracias a quienes donaron las monodosis para las máquinas, contamos con una buena provisión de café. Ya con toda la confianza del mundo quien iba llegando, se preparaba su taza de café o té con total tranquilidad.
Pero si habías llegado sin haber desayunado, también disponías de croissants, galletas y fruta para evitar que, por falta de atención, tu estómago desviará tu atención de las presentaciones que tendrían lugar ese día. No había excusas, aquí todos estamos a lo que vinimos, menos @akipponn, que teníamos una excusa más que aceptable para escucharnos solamente de fondo, ya lo verán.
Ese día día hubo mucho movimiento en la cocina por parte del equipo encargado, entre charlas, mientras teníamos algunos minutos para ir al baño o buscar un refrigerio (más café, básicamente), se podía percibir el aroma de las preparaciones para la comida que tendríamos al finalizar la primera tanda de presentaciones. No sé los demás, pero a mi de cuando en cuando el olor a comida me distraía un poco del resto de cosas. 😅
Surprise, surprise: Hive Fest 2025 Announcement
Yeahp! With that face of imminent action and excitement, in addition to his ability to maneuver the laptop and the technical problems of audio and video of the live, @gtg surprised us with one of the most anticipated news in the entire travel ecosystem, weeks ago the tension felt almost to explode for wanting to know the destination that would have this year's big party of Hive.
The hype was felt even during the hours leading up to our meeting, we were all ganging up on the idea of not knowing where we would have to go hahaha. @Tibfox opened that day's keynotes saying that at the end of the first block there would be surprise and I, in my competitive head, thought it was a prize challenge, something that could have been confusing to present our initiative from #Worldmappin for that day, but in the end the news was much bigger than our speculations and when we all saw @roelandp on call, our heartbeats increased exponentially.
Unfortunately, we didn't get to see @roelandp projected during the call, but @minigunner went by every seat, to show us a sneak preview of the event poster from his cell phone and let us say hello to the spokesman, while he continued to clarify some details.
The truth is that it felt great that the #BuzzParty was the bridge to announce #HiveFest, it would be great if this could become a tradition and we can repeat this dynamic every year. What do you think @tibfox?

Yeahp! Con esa cara de acontecimiento inminente y emoción, además de su habilidad para maniobrar la laptop y los problemas técnicos de audio y video del directo, @gtg nos sorprendió con una de las noticias más esperadas en todo el ecosistema viajero, hace semanas que la tensión se sentía casi explotar por querer saber el destino que tendría este año la gran fiesta de Hive.
El hype se sentía incluso durante las horas previas de nuestro encuentro, estábamos todos confabulando con la idea de no saber a dónde tendríamos que ir jajaja. @Tibfox abrió las ponencias de ese día diciendo que al final del primer bloque habría sorpresa y yo, en mi cabeza competitiva, pensaba que se trataba de un reto de premios, cosa que podría haber sido confusa para presentar nuestra iniciativa desde #Worldmappin para ese día, pero al final la noticia era mucho más grande que nuestras especulaciones y cuando todos vimos a @roelandp en llamada, nuestros latidos aumentaron exponencialmente.
Por desgracia,s no pudimos ver proyectado a @roelandp durante la llamada, pero @minigunner fue pasando por cada asiento, para mostrarnos en primicia el cartel del evento desde su móvil y dejarnos saludar al vocero, mientras continuaba aclarando algunos detalles.
Lo cierto es que se sintió muy bien que la #BuzzParty fuese el puente para anunciar #HiveFest, sería genial que esto se pudiera convertir en una costumbre y que podamos repetir esta dinámica cada año ¿tú qué opinas @tibfox?

Uff imagine getting that news just before the lunch break, if we already felt that we were going to lack time to talk to each other, now with this news we were even more encouraged to continue chatting a lot, planning and checking flights and hotels and not waiting much longer hahaha.
There was no time to get bored while waiting in line for the buffet that the attentive, hardworking and efficient @reiseamateur family prepared for us.
We had a variety of dishes to choose from and serve ourselves to our liking, enough to enjoy and repeat if necessary, also considering the type of diet of the attendees that was consulted in advance.
However, we did not expect the delicious and exotic cultural mix that @akipponn included in our menu, the reason why she spent most of the morning keeping the kitchen team company instead of being so comfortably seated like the rest of us, she decided to bring a sample of what her community proposes inviting us to travel through her culture and the culture of the country we visited, to taste some vegan, organic and as much as possible locally produced dishes.
The scenario was as follows, you came distracted from the lounge where you had just found out about Kuala Lumpur, totally distracted and talking about travel and hotels, you got to the end of a line that moved forward without getting stuck, took a plate from the tableware and suddenly found yourself first of all with a striking vegan station from .....
Uff imagínate recibir esa noticia justo antes del break de la comida, si ya sentíamos que nos iba a hacer falta tiempo para poder hablar entre todos, ahora con esta noticia estábamos aún más animados a conversar, planear e ir cotizando vuelos y hoteles sin esperar mucho más jajaja.
Vamos, que no daba tiempo para aburrirse mientras hacíamos la cola del buffet que la atenta, trabajadora y eficiente familia de @reiseamateur preparó para nosotros.
Teníamos una variedad de platos para elegir y servirnos a nuestro gusto, cantidad suficiente para disfrutar y repetir si hacía falta, teniendo en cuenta además el tipo de dieta de los asistentes que se consultó con antelación.
Sin embargo no esperábamos la deliciosa y exótica mezcla cultural que incluyó @akipponn en nuestro menú, el motivo por el que estuvo gran parte de la mañana haciéndole compañía al equipo de cocina en vez de estar tan cómodamente sentada como el resto de nosotras, ella decidió traer una muestra de lo que propone su comunidad invitándonos a viajar a través de su cultura y la del país que visitamos, para degustar unos platillos veganos, orgánicos y en lo posible de producción local.
La situación era la siguiente, venias distraigo del salón donde te acababas de enterar sobre lo de Kuala Lumpur, totalmente distraído y hablando sobre viajes y hoteles, te ponías al final de una fila que avanzaba sin atascarse, copias un plato de la vajilla y de repente te encontrabas primero que nada con una llamativa estación vegana de….

Of course, finding some beautiful and fun onigiris was what we least expected on our visit to Graz, but then @akipponn gave us a proper welcome, explaining the idea behind the Food & Culture community and her idea of sharing with others her passion for gastronomy and the cultural richness it holds.
She also told us that decided to take a walk through the local market that morning (i.e. she wasn't running away from me, just designing her dishes 😉) to also treat us with a fresh salad from the garden of Graz, a luxury that should not be missed according to her proposal and that, of course, I found more than right.
She also had the charming idea of identifying each option, with small signs, explaining what each dish consisted of, an idea that I found spectacular for the peace of mind of our vegan/vegetarian diners, because although for us omnivores it easily goes unnoticed, sometimes they have to suffer a little or do without trying something, for not being sure of what it contains. In my opinion, that is something that doesn't have to be a concern for a consumer who has previously informed the organization about the characteristics of their diet. So thousand points for @akipponn and those responsible for preparing everything.
Claro, encontrar unos preciosos y divertidos onigiris era lo que menos esperábamos en nuestra visita a Graz, pero entonces @akipponn nos dio un adecuado recibimiento, explicándonos la idea detrás de la comunidad Food & Culture y su idea de compartir con otros su pasión por la gastronomía y la riqueza cultural que esta esconde.
También nos contó que decidió dar un paseo por el mercado local esa mañana (es decir, que no estaba escando de mi, solo diseñando sus platos 😉) para agasajarnos además con una ensalada fresca proveniente de la huerta de Graz, un lujo que no habría que desaprovechar según su propuesta y que, por supuesto, encontré más que acertado.
Tuvo además la encantadora idea de identificar cada opción, con pequeños carteles, explicando de qué se trataba cada plato, una idea que me pareció espectacular para la tranquilidad de nuestros comensales veganos/vegetarianos, pues aunque para nosotros los omnívoros pasa fácilmente desapercibido, a veces, ellos tienen que sufrir un poco o prescindir de probar alguna cosa, por no estar seguros de lo que lleva. En mi opinión, eso es algo que no tiene que ser preocupación de un consumidor que ha indicado previamente las características de su dieta a la organización. Así que mil puntos para @akipponn y los responsables de preparar todo.

In addition to the two dishes she prepared herself, this lady brought with her from Germany, where she lives, the perfect garnish and accompaniment for her creations.
She presented us with a couple of vegetable pates, naturally sourced, which she filled the onigiris with and left at our disposal in case we wanted to have some more. Of course, we wanted some.
My favorite was the pea and basil based vegetable pate made by Allos brand based on Bremen.
Although I am sure that the one that the public liked the most was the vegan tuna cream based on seaweed, peas and beans that does not contain any coloring. It is made by Nabio at Gierstädt.
And for the salad, a vegetarian honey-mustard dressing, which gave the perfect balance to the fresh greens from the Graz market: Honig & Senf Dressing.
First of all, I counted the amount of vegan/vegetarian attendees to make sure I didn't leave anyone without trying these dishes, and by my count I had about 4 onigiris left over, so I ate 2 and apparently I was the one to blame for leaving @tibfox without having the pleasure of enjoying them. Oh noooo sorry, we have to keep the organizers plate in mind ahead of time for the next one, when one get so caught up in the organization, you forget about food.
I'm not so sorry I left you without tasting them, because there was no lack of food hahaha only the akipponn surprises were limited edition hahaha.
Además de los dos platos que preparó ella misma, esta chica se trajo desde Alemania, en donde vive, el aderezo y acompañamiento perfecto para sus creaciones.
Nos presentó un par te patés vegetales, de origen natural, que utilizó para rellenar los onigiris y que dejó a nuestra disposición por si queríamos tomar un poco más. Por supuesto, queríamos.
Mi favorito fue el paté de verduras a base de guisantes y albahaca elaborados por la marca Allos con base en Bremen.
Aunque estoy segura de que el que más gustó al público fue la crema de atún vegana a base de algas, guisantes y habas que no contiene ningún colorante. La elabora Nabio en Gierstädt.
Y para la ensalada, un adereso vegetariano de miel y mostaza, que le dio el equilibrio perfecto a las frescas hojas del mercado de Graz: Honig & Senf Dressing.
Ante todo, yo conté la cantidad de asistentes veganos/vegetarianos para asegurarme no dejar a nadie sin probar estos platos, y según mis cuentas me sobraban unos 4 onigiris, así que me comí 2 y al parecer fui la culpable de dejar a @tibfox sin tener el gusto de disfrutarlos. Oh noooo lo siento, hay que tener en cuenta el plato de los organizadores con antelación para la próxima, que cuando uno está tan metido en la organización, se olvida de su comida.
A ver tampoco lamento tanto haberle dejado sin probarlos, porque comida no faltaba jajaja solo las sorpresitas de akipponn eran edición limitada jajaja.

We also had plenty of good food to taste that day.
As a local option, there was the Käsespätzle, a dish that I didn't expect that day either and that I learned to love precisely because of last year's BuzzParty in Hamburg, where I tasted this kind of pasta for the first time. In this case, we had the Käsespätzle made with a large amount of cheese and on the side, the typical fried onion to add on top if we liked.
Then a very versatile, adaptable and child-friendly option: the Spaghetti, a dish that never fails. There were plenty of these ready to serve and accompany with the sauce of our choice: minced meat bolognese or pesto, along with two huge bowls of grated cheese that made my day so much happier.
And finally back to the local food, there was Backhendl (Austrian fried chicken, marinated in lemon) along with the essential Erdäpfelsalat potato salad, to go with it. There was also a jar of the curious Kürbiskernöl, pumpkin seed oil typical of the region, so that the local flavor would accompany the whole dish.

Teníamos además una buena cantidad de elementos para degustar ese día.
Como opción local, estaban los Käsespätzle un plato que tampoco me esperaba ese día y que aprendí a amar justamente por la BuzzParty del año pasado en Hamburg, en donde probé esta especie de pasta por primera vez. En este caso, teníamos los Käsespätzle elaborados con una gran cantidad de queso y a un lado, la típica cebolla frita para añadirle encima si gustábamos.
Luego una opción muy versátil, adaptable y apta para niños: los Spaghetti, un plato que nunca falla. Había gran cantidad de estos preparados para servir y acompañar con la salsa de nuestra elección: boloñesa de carne picada o pesto, junto a dos enormes bowls de queso rallado que hicieron que mi día fuera mucho más feliz.
Y por último volvíamos a la comida local, había Backhendl (pollo frito austriaco, macerado en limón) junto a la imprescindible ensalada de patatas Erdäpfelsalat, para acompañarlo. Además había un bote del curioso Kürbiskernöl, aceite de semillas de calabaza típico de la región, para que el sabor local acompañara todo el plato.

Okay, it is a large dish, but let me explain. In these cases, the important thing is to be able to do a first round of testing, in order to identify, know and understand the flavors of each element, because my intention is to discover what they wanted to convey through this offer.
So, it was not indecision, it was a test dish with a little bit of everything, to decide what I would serve later as the main dish. Well, the vegan dish was additional because it did not seem right to mix the flavors as a starter, so I tried them separately.
Although there was something that went against me a bit and that was having to do the #Worldmappin presentation after the meal. So the wait was super long and instead of finishing a second dish with the rest, I left some of the first one and completed the next one that would be on standby until I fulfilled the obligation ahead of me.
On the other hand @masterswatch ate everything with pleasure and was a thousand times more relaxed than me during the presentation hahaha he is a true master!
Vale, es un gran plato, pero permítanme explicarme. En estos casos, lo importante es poder hacer una primera ronda de prueba, para lograr identificar, conocer y entender los sabores de cada elemento, porque mi intención es descubrir lo que nos han querido transmitir a través de esta propuesta.
Así que, no era indecisión, era un plato de prueba con un poco de todo, para poder decidir qué me serviría posteriormente como plato estrella. Bueno, el plato vegano era adicional porque no me parecía correcto mezclar los sabores de entrada, así que los fui probando por separado.
Aunque hubo algo que jugó un poco en mi contra y era el tener que hacer la presentación de @Worldmappin después de la comida. Así que la espera se me hizo súper larga y en vez de terminar un segundo plato junto al resto, dejé algo del primero y completé el siguiente que estaría en Stand by hasta que cumpliera con la obligación de tenía por delante.
En cambio @masterswatch se comió todo con un gustazo y además estuvo mil veces más relajado que yo durante la presentación jajaja es todo un maestro!

So yeah, we did our much anticipated presentation about the first months of working with the @worldmappin team, something we had days preparing and dedicating time to it so it would be useful not only for the event attendees but also for any other user inside and outside the ecosystem.
It was a pleasure to do this.... but the important detail was that, we couldn't deny that we love to travel as much as we love to eat, so we had to include a sweet touch that would compensate the suffering that our mates were going to go through, after presenting them with the challenge we had prepared for this #BuzzParty: The Graz treasure hunt.
Part of the challenge includes getting a code, a part of it was in some chocolate bars arranged on the snack table, so those who were there had to go eat a little bit of chocolate hahaha but those who want to do it from home, even if they can't taste it, they will have available the picture of these chocolates in the challenge post, where you can look very carefully to discover the hidden clue, but of course, before the chocolate step, you must get in @WorldMappin the entrance of the door that requests you the access code.
(@masterswatch don't give me a hard time for giving clues, people are still going crazy trying to figure this out hahahaha we need to encourage them to keep trying)!

Así que sí, hicimos nuestra tan anticipada presentación sobre los primeros meses de trabajo con el equipo de @worldmappin, algo que teníamos días preparando y dedicándole tiempo para que fuese útil no solo para los asistentes del evento sino también para cualquier otro usuario dentro y fuera del ecosistema.
Fue un placer hacer esto…. pero el detalle importante fue que, no podíamos negar que nos gusta tanto viajar como comer, así que teníamos que incluir un toque dulce que compensara el sufrimiento por el que iban a pasar nuestros compañeros, luego de presentarles el reto que habíamos preparado para esta #BuzzParty: La búsqueda del tesoro de Graz.
Parte del reto incluye conseguir un código, una parte de este se encontraba en unas barras de chocolate dispuestas en la mesa de refrigerios, así que los que estaban allí debían ir a comerse un poquito de chocolate jajaja pero los que lo quieran hacer desde casa, aunque no puedan probarlo, tendrán disponible la foto de estos chocolates en la publicación del reto, en donde pueden mirar con mucho cuidado para descubrir la pista escondida, pero claro, antes del paso del chocolate, debes conseguir en #WorldMappin la entrada de la puerta que te pide el código de acceso.
(@masterswatch no me eches la bronca por dar pistas, que la gente aún está vuelta loca intentando resolver esto jajajaja ¡necesitamos animarlos a seguir intentando!)

We got a very appropriate place to drop the chocolate, next to the coffee table and where there were some boxes of the addictive Jaffa Cakes that I guess were a contribution from @livinguktaiwan, because if not, where else would they have come from?
What's this plot to get delicious British cookies, and how do I get into that secret club?
After quickly putting the chocolates away and grabbing a few Jaffas, so as not to run out of dessert, we returned to our privileged seats in the front row of the room, to continue listening to the rest of the presentations.
I debated a bit between not being rude and paying attention or continuing to eat my plate of food reserved for when I had finished my talk. In the end I did a mix of everything, eating, interacting with each presentation, drinking coffee, eating some more, trying the cookies and at the end of it all, I ended up spilling a glass of water on the carpet.
I was a bit of a mess after all, but I felt super relaxed and happy after talking about @Worldmappin to so many people (in person and online) that I didn't control all those good vibes surrounding me.

¿Cuál es ese complot para obtener galletitas britanicas deliciosas y cómo hago para entrar en ese club secreto?
Tras dejar los chocolates en su sitio rápidamente y coger unas cuantas Jaffas, para no quedarme sin postre, volvimos a nuestros privilegiados sitios en la primera fila del salón, para seguir escuchando el resto de presentaciones.
Me debatía un poco entre no ser descortés y prestar atención o seguir comiendo mi plato de comida reservado para cuando hubiese terminado mi charla. Al final hice un mix de todo, comiendo, interactuando en cada presentación, tomando café, comiendo un poco más, probando las galletas y al final de todo, terminé derramando un vaso de agua en la alfombra.
Fui un poco desastre después de todo, pero me sentía súper relajada y contenta tras haber hablado de @Worldmappin a tanta gente (presencial y online) que no controlaba todas esas buenas vibras que me rodeaban.

Let's go back to the food in detail. I know that at the beginning I said I would go straight to the point, but I think I am beyond repair, it is inevitable to talk about so many things that happened during those hours, that my fingers do not stop narrating the events that dance in my mind. I'm enjoying it, so, here I am, two thousand words later without finishing giving a final verdict on what we ate hahahahahaha.
Again, back to the food details. Now we do.
I applaud again the work and kindness with which @reiseamateur and his family dedicated themselves to serve us and prepare those dishes for us at the event. They were there at all times, helping us, listening to us, collaborating and making the space clean and pleasant at all times.
I was wandering around while they were preparing the food and I am happy to say that they did it with care, subtlety and good taste. I think it is complex to adapt a menu for such diverse and international guests, but they knew how to choose those dishes that stand out from their culture and that were also palate friendly and not so complex to prepare on site.
The Backhendl chicken stole my heart, yes I know it looks like just a breaded chicken, but it has a different taste and I hope I'm not wrong in guessing that the trick was in the marinade. Another protagonist for me was the pesto they served us, I have no idea where it came from, but it was a wise choice.
I know it was my fault, but the dish I ate after my talk was quite cold, so I ended up mixing everything with the pesto and it turned out to be the perfect solution to the problem. They probably would have helped me warm up the food if I asked them to, but I didn't want to miss the presentations or wait even longer to eat. Oh yeah, in this picture above you can see that I had my plate right next to my chair, and I ended up eating sitting there while enjoying the rest of the show haha.
I can't stop thanking @akipponn for the initiative to feed us healthy that day, these are possibly the most real onigiris I've ever tasted, made by a real Japanese woman in front of me. Thanks for your effort and dedication, many of us thank you for bringing salad that day, having eaten so much schnitzel during our stay in Graz.
Volvamos al detalle de la comida. Ya sé que al principio dije que iría directo al grano, pero creo que no tengo arreglo, es inevitable hablar de tantas cosas que pasaron durante esas horas, que mi dedos no paran de narrar los acontecimientos que bailan en mi mente. Lo estoy disfrutando, así que, heme aquí, dos mil palabras después sin terminar de dar un veredicto final sobre lo que comimos jajajajaja.
De nuevo, volvamos al detalle de la comida. Ahora sí.
Aplaudo nuevamente la labor y amabilidad con la que @reiseamateur y su familia se dedicaron a atendernos y prepararnos esos platos en el evento. Estuvieron ahí en todo momento, ayudándonos, escuchándonos, colaborando y haciendo que el espacio estuviese siempre limpio y agradable.
Yo estaba por ahí deambulando mientras preparaban la comida y me alegra decir que lo han hecho con cariño, sutileza y buen gusto. Creo que es complejo adaptar un menú para invitados tan diversos e internacionales, pero supieron elegir esos platos que destacan de su cultura y que además fuesen amigables al paladar y no tan engorrosos de preparar en el lugar.
El pollo Backhendl se robó mi corazón, sí sé que parece solo un pollo empanado, pero tiene un gusto diferente y espero no equivocarme al intuir que el truco estuvo en el marinado. Otro protagonista para mi fue el pesto que nos sirvieron, no tengo idea sobre su procedencia, pero fue una opción acertada.
Sé que fue mi culpa, pero el plato que comí luego de mi charla estaba bastante frio, así que terminé mezclando todo con el pesto y resultó ser la solución perfecta al problema. Seguramente me hubiesen ayudado a calentar la comida si se los pedía, pero no quería perderme las presentaciones ni esperar aún mas para comer. Ah sí, en esta foto de arriba se puede ver que tenía mi plato justo al lado de mi silla, y terminé comiendo ahí sentada mientras disfrutaba del resto del show jaja.
No puedo dejar de agradecer a @akipponn por la iniciativa de alimentarnos sanamente ese día, estos son posiblemente los onigiris mas reales que he probado, hecho por una auténtica japonesa en frente de mí. Gracias por tu esfuerzo y dedicación, muchos te agradecemos haber traído ensalada ese día, habiendo comido tanto schnitzel durante nuestra estadía en Graz.
I think the food management was very good, there were leftovers of course, but no excess and nothing was wasted. However, it is important to clarify that it was impossible to determine exact quantities, without the certainty of the exact number of attendees before it was time to eat. Many users were absent because they could not make it, others came and went, and some only attended this day or the day before.
In the end, there was also a surplus of drinks, but it served us well the next day to quench our thirst during our planned walks.
Overall, this buffet format, made our day of presentations much easier and relaxed, considering that we were not an unreasonable amount of people, at a larger event it would possibly be chaos.
The lunchtime break was generous enough to have a leisurely lunch, clear our minds talking about other things (Hive Fest all the time hahaha) and even take a short walk near the event venue.
Of course, when we finished the day, it was necessary to get together and collaborate again in collecting all the paraphernalia we used during those days, helping us is a way to subtract costs to this kind of events, at the end we are not paying an agency to take care of everything and, clearly, the two organizers don't have superpowers to do everything, all by themselves.
As I feared, I used the RedBull card again consecutively, yesterday without sugar but today with all the bad stuff, as @masterswatch says, you have to go all out to the dark side hahaha but the day had to go on and I still needed energy after the amount of sleepless hours I was accumulating.
But it didn't end here, that day we had a dinner pending in another typical place in the city, but I'll leave that for a next post hahaha I doubt very much that anyone wants to read something else, if you have had the courage to follow me until here hahaha.
Creo que la gestión de la comida fue muy correcta, hubo sobras claro, pero ningún exceso y nada se desperdició. Pero es importante aclarar que resultaba imposible determinar cantidades exactas, sin la seguridad del numero concreto de asistentes antes de que llegara el momento de comer. Muchos usuarios estaban ausentes por no poder llegar, otros iban y venían y, algunos, solo asistieron este día o el anterior.
Al final, hubo también un excedente de bebidas, pero nos sirvió al día siguiente para saciar la sed, durante los paseos que teníamos planificados.
En general, este formato buffet, hizo mucho más fácil y relajado nuestro día de presentaciones, teniendo en cuenta que no éramos una cantidad descabellada de personas, en un evento más grande posiblemente sería un caos.
El descanso a la hora de comer fue lo suficientemente amplio como para comer con tranquilidad, despejar la mente hablando de otras cosas (Hive Fest todo el rato jajaja) e incluso dar un breve paseo cerca del lugar del evento.
Por supuesto, cuando terminamos la jornada, era necesario juntarnos y colaborar nuevamente en recoger toda la parafernalia que utilizamos durante esos días, ayudarnos es una forma de restarle costos a este tipo de eventos, al final no le estamos pagando a una agencia para que se encargue de todo y, claramente, los dos organizadores no tienen superpoderes para hacer todo, ellos solos.
Como temía, volví a utilizar la carta del RedBull consecutivamente, ayer sin azúcar pero hoy con todo lo malo que es, como dice @masterswatch, hay que ir con todo hacia el lado oscuro jajaja pero el día debía continuar y yo aún necesitaba energías tras la cantidad de horas sin dormir que estaba acumulando.
Pero esto no terminaba aquí, ese día teníamos pendiente una cena en otro lugar típico de la ciudad, pero eso lo dejaré para un próximo post jajaja que dudo mucho que alguien quiera leer algo más, si ha tenido el valor de acompañarme hasta aquí jajaja.
