Saludos queridos amigos creativos de esta gran comunidad. Es un placer para mi saludarles y venir a compartirles nuevo contenido musical. Como siempre deseándoles Bendiciones infinitas para cada uno de sus hogares.
Hoy les vengo a hablar acerca de lo que es un RIFF de guitarra. Y pues esto no es mas que con un conjunto de melodías hecho a base de cualquiera de las distintas técnicas de guitarra, ya sea punteo o palm mute, incluso arpeggio. Por lo general son patrones cortos de dos compases que se repiten y se presentan en el intro de la canción (aunque también podría posicionarse en cualquier lugar de la canción) dándole indentidad a la misma.
Muchas veces reconocemos una canción solo por escuchar el intro de la guitarra y podemos sentir la emoción de la canción solo con escuchar ese sonido, pues ese sonido es un Riff. Para mi es el protagonista de la canción junto a la voz, tanto así que muchas veces una canción podría sonar vacía si no escuchamos su Riff principal.
En mi caso personal, la mayoría de las veces me identifico con una canción mas por su sonido y melodía que por su letra. Por eso muchas veces cuando realizo un cover para compartirlo acá en la plataforma, trato de hacer siempre ese riff que identifica a la canción aunque sea en el modo mas acústico.
A lo largo de la historia hemos conocido grandes guitarristas que han logrado plasmar una memoria musical en los oyentes a través de estos Riffs. Tal es el caso de Jimmy Page (Guitarrista de Led Zeppelin) con su popular "Escaleras al cielo" o "Black dog" entre otras. Guitarristas como Slash (Guns and Roses) que a base de punteos logro darle un toque muy personal a ese sonido dejando legendarias melodías para el recuerdo. Ni hablar del gran Jimmi Hendrix y Eric Clapton...Quienes son gran parte de la base del Rock.
Estos Riffs por lo general se asocian al genero rock. Aunque en los últimos tiempos hemos visto artistas pop experimentando con Riffs de guitarra alternativa. Y pues si hablamos de la música clásica también hay una gran variedad, recordemos al gran Paco de Lucia con su "Entre dos aguas"...Legendaria e inconfundible solo de escucharla.
Y bueno, si bien le estoy hablando de Riffs de guitarra clásicos...Aquí quiero mostrarles un pequeño conglomerado de Riffs pero de música alternativa contemporánea, generalmente música de mi país (Venezuela) y que ha estado sonando en mis oídos a lo largo de mi vida. También agregue un par de canciones anglosajonas que también pertenecen a ese repertorio que me identifica. Esto solo para ponerles un ejemplo de como seria un Riffs utilizando las distintas técnicas de guitarra.

Today I'm here to talk to you about what a guitar RIFF is. And well, this is nothing more than a set of melodies based on any of the different guitar techniques, be it plucking or palm mute, even arpeggio. They are usually short two-bar patterns that are repeated and presented in the intro of the song (although they could also be positioned anywhere in the song) giving it an identity.
Many times we recognize a song just by hearing the guitar intro and we can feel the emotion of the song just by hearing that sound, because that sound is a Riff. For me he is the protagonist of the song along with the voice, so much so that many times a song could sound empty if we don't listen to its main Riff.
In my personal case, most of the time I identify with a song more for its sound and melody than for its lyrics. That's why many times when I make a cover to share it here on the platform, I always try to do that riff that identifies the song, even if it's in the most acoustic way.
Throughout history we have known great guitarists who have managed to capture a musical memory in listeners through these Riffs.
