Literary Game No. 10 is well underway. We've received our first entry, from @beckyroyal. There is still six more days until the deadline.
In a nutshell, Literary Game No. 10 is centered around a found narrative. Writers are challenged to revisit each of the 10 literary games published so far and find one word, phrase, or sentence in each one to include in a story narrative of their own creation. Additionally, they should throw in the phrase "Like a spoonful of sugar". The winner will receive 5 HBD.
That's the nutshell version. For the full version, with all the rules and guidelines plus links to each of the literary games, read last week's literary games post.
I would introduce a new literary game this week, but I'll be leaving in about an hour to sell books at Kroger. I didn't have time to prepare it for this week. And that was one of the reasons I made the deadline two weeks out for Literary Game No. 10. Another reason was, due to the complexity of the game, I thought I'd give people an extra week to come up with their stories. And finally, I was hoping that, with an extended deadline, I'd see more entries into the literary games. So far, we have one entry for No. 10. But we've yet to enter into the home stretch.
All writers and creators: share this post and the original post announcing Literary Game No. 10 (even if you're not playing).
The original post is already past payout. If you discover the literary game now and want in, you can upvote and reblog this post as your requirement instead of upvoting and reblogging the original announcement (although, if you want to reblog the original announcement too, that would be awesome!).
Go ahead ladies and gents. Submit your stories and get ready for the winner's announcement, which will be next Wednesday. Best of luck to all writers who play the game.
