The task was to draw four cards from a standard 52-deck of cards. Each card in the deck was associated with a particular phrase. Literary Game No. 7 Entrants
Literary Game No. 7 offers a different twist. The task was to take three pre-written sentences (below) and incorporate them into a story of 100 to 1,000 words. These are the sentences:
- The sky cracked open, but no one seemed surprised.
- She carried her silence like a weapon, heavier than a two-handed sword.
- They found the note tucked inside a shoe, written in a language no one remembered learning.

Literary Game No. 8: One Paragraph to Rule Them All
This week's literary game involves writing a complete story (with a beginning, a middle, and an end) in one paragraph. The paragraph should be no fewer than three sentences (of any length) and no longer than five. You can write your sentences with a minimalist style akin to Ernest Hemingway or Raymond Carver or go for something more complex like Henry James or William Faulkner. Either way, your story should have a true opening, a climax, and a satisfying ending.
Now for the rules:

- Write a complete story in only one paragraph. Publish it to your Hive blog using any frontend.
- Tag your story #literarygames.
