Hello Game Lovers

This is another week and now it's time to share the battle with MANTICORE which is this week's theme card.

Its complete lockdown here in India for the last 18 days and 3 days remains to get it over however its expected to get extended. I am at home all the time and once my work is over then I am using this time to play more battles on splinterlands. Working from home every day is not easy and very boring. Good that I have splinterlands game which is helping me to get boredom away and I enjoy it but it also has capture rate limitation. Wish, I could get unlimited capture rate this lockdown time .. :) lol

My Strategy and Cards for the Battle

Manticore is an epic card from the Dragon Monster in the reward edition. I have recently purchased dragon summoner and played only a few battles with dragon summoner so I have an idea how to use these cards and better placement of Manticore card as well.

Manticore Stats

This is a 4 mana card and it comes with two abilities and this makes this card a bit special and strong too. I think getting such a card with a cost of just 4 mana is great and its a must-have card in all the battle through Dragon for average mana battles.

2-Ruler of the Seas
3-Manticore
4-Albatross

Furious Chicken

This is a free card for me which I kept in front so that it handles one hit and saves my ruler of the seas card. I wanted to save my ruler card from one hit and it worked well in this battle. Best of all it does not cost any mana so I either use it at the or in the front and rarely use it in middle slots.

Ruler of the Seas

Since I choose water through dragon so in the water this is my all-time favourite card and I always keep it in the battle if its available. Fortunately, I got this time in this battle so I put it in second place.

Manticore

Now, this is the card on which the entire battle is based as this is this week's theme card. Because battle mana is only 15 so I have the option to choose very few cards and thats, why I choose only 2 cards and Manticore, is the one of it. I did pretty well in the game as the ruler of the sea was destroyed and it took the battle up through its abilities and made me win the game.

Albatross

After the manticore, there was space for only 1 mana left so its better to put anything rather than leaving it blank and I did put this one. Like chicken, this also just save from one hit and thats all was the purpose to make it part of the battle. It just costs only 1 mana and for this cost its fair to use this one.

In this battle, I tried a strategy where I had a total of 4 cards and theme cards I kept in the 3rd place then put another thereafter. Because mana was 15 which is pretty less and I had constraint so I choose 2 powerful cards and the other two to give them a bit of protection. This battle I played with FEDUK and this player was also playing pretty well and even for a moment, I felt I am going to lose the game but then the manticore managed it well and took it to the winning. Ruler of the seas is surely a powerful card but it could not survive till the end of the battle and then manticore is the one card that leads the battle.

Do I use Manticore Often?

I have used Manticore card a few times before but not very much and after this battle announcement, I played even more battles than I played before altogether. I played so many battles with Dragon summoner and use Manticore too. I don't know why all the battles don't bring the option to selected dragon splinter.

Will I use this Card in future battles?

Why not, I will surely use this card in the future while playing with dragon splinters and even I have very few cards in dragon so don't have many options to choose from. Though I keep on adding more cards from the market and maybe I will have more cards in the future but as of now Manticore is a great option to play with. I keep on trying different strategies and if I find that its fits in my strategy then I would surely use it.
