For me at least, it is clear that changes are uncomfortable. It doesn't take a genius to realize that they involve alterations from an earlier state to a later one. That's why they make us so uncomfortable.
But, on the other hand, they are as inevitable as the passage of time itself; and, in fact, the passage of time is by definition precisely the fruit of change itself.
I'm not a fan of change, I admit. But I understand that they are inevitable in life. So whether we like change or not is totally irrelevant in the big picture. It's one of those things that you either accept it or you don't, but it's never going to change its nature per se.
So the universe, life, situations don't ask us if we like change. They just happen and present themselves, and we just have to adapt to them. We just have to understand it, and not fight against the inevitability of change as a concept and as a fact.
So, change means getting out of our comfort zone, right? But it's more than that, because there really is no such thing as a comfort zone in life. It's simply us resisting change or the idea of change anyway.
And we cannot be surprised (nor should we deny it), we are like this for a simple reason, and that is because change means altering what we know, and we humans like to anticipate and think that we have everything under control in our existence. But it turns out that there is much we can control in our lives, and much we cannot, but change cannot be completely execrated from our existence.
That's what I always remind myself when I find myself resisting change (which was more common for me in the past, but not so much in the present).
And yes, we must recognize that change requires courage on our part. Because it is not easy to throw oneself into change and subject oneself to the uncertainty that comes with it. But it is the only constant in life. Because change is the only thing we can predict will not change. So we don't question its existence, but when and how it will occur. And, logically, we want the changes that occur in our lives to always be positive, but that is part of the control we must let go of, because it is impossible to predict.
Because we know that changes are good or bad depending on how we see them. But the way they present themselves seems to escape our control, and that is why the healthiest thing to do is precisely that: not to try to control them beyond what we can humanly control.
I think the healthiest thing is for us to embrace and accept change in life as a concept and as a constant fact; because that is the best and healthiest thing for us and for everyone in this world. But what do you think?
We keep to see each other in the galaxy, companions on this planetary journey.
