I don’t know about other places but in Nigeria, Every Sunday is Rice day. It’s not a rule or anything it’s just something i grew up to. Almost every Nigerian home you go to on a sunday, you’re going to find Rice. It’s either going to be the popular Nigerian Jollof, Fried Rice, Coconut Rice, Native Rice, White Rice and Tomato stew e.t.c .
In my home yesterday we had native rice. I prepared it with some local ingredients. Maybe I’ll elaborate on this some other time.
I went to church with my sister and the service was amazing as always.
I have a large family, it used to be fun when we were all around. Now everyone lives in different cities either schooling or running their business.
Not withstanding it’s still fun not being much, I like my peace.
I had a business meeting after i went home that took up almost my whole day, it was exhausting but worth it. By the time the meeting was over it was evening, so I decided to take a walk. Maybe to look around or get something to munch on.
Got some roasted corn. It’s usually eat with butter fruit 🤤
This is a mini corn farm. This is the season for it and it’s so easy to plant so wherever you go, people have liitle farms like this. Some even in their backyard.
You could see the already matured corn.
I had to take some selfies and rush home before it starts to rain. We are currently in the rainy season. It gets intense in the month of August, we had to give it a name “August rain.” There’s almost no way to avoid getting beaten by the rain in this month, the sky would be clear and the next minute, it’s raining.
Since traditional marriages are mostly done outdoors, a lot of people avoid getting married in August. But the rain is perfect for the crops, so it’s not that bad.
This is all about my day yesterday. Thank you for reading.
