Today I just want to share some photos I´ve took since I´m here. I haven´t used my camera much the past months, but here are some of the photos I took with it.
The Algarve here in the south of Portugal is absolutely amazing and even in winter it´s still warm enough for daily activities and sun bathing.
The destinations we lived at before it was more about rain forests and tropical birds while it´s more seabirds and rough Atlantic Ocean down here. I would have not expected that the sound of seabirds would make me smile in the morning.
What I also did not expect, I don´t know why, is to find such a big amount of plastic on one of the beaches here. It was only on one day, but it shocked me since I only know this from Indonesia and other south east asia countries. I guess these small plastic pieces, I could net even see in the beginning are even worse than bigger pieces.
Both photos are from one and the same beach on the exact same day.
There is a lot of bird life here on the Algarve but since most of them are these small, fast birds and I do not have a big Tele Lens I gave up taking pictures of them.
Although there is a slow death of fishing since the 70s and the number of fishing boats went down drastically you will still see some small fishing boats, mostly in the tiny villages like Ferragudo.
I absolutely love it here on the Algarve but due to not finding the right property for us and to an increase in prices for nearly everything during the summer time we decided to leave soon and maybe come back for next winter.
In march we will be traveling to a whole new continent, one we´ve never been before. Soon ore about this. Now it´s time to explore even more of this beautiful place on that sunny sunday.
