The second Sunday at home after the state of emergency was decreed in Romania. I remember Sundays long ago when they were so desirable. It was the day when it was compulsory to be beautiful, to be different than the other days of the week. It was distinguished because it was dedicated exclusively to relaxation and fun.
This invisible threat appeared as a lightning bolt. The fact that it is invisible makes it even more difficult to accommodate. More difficult to accept.
The fact that the threat and hysteria encompassed the whole world seems unbelievable. When I see what is happening in rich and civilized countries it makes me scared. At first, I thought it would be a local problem, at most on a continent but I ignored the way people travel today.
Now that the freedom of movement has diminished a lot we have nothing to do but stay home, hide from the contact that could transmit the virus. I like that on Sunday I write a blog showing how beautiful and sometimes sublime this day can be. I wrote one last Sunday and now I started writing the one today. Thus I realized that everything was repeating itself, this Sunday I had the same activities as last Sunday.
I asked myself if this means a lack of imagination in choosing what to do or is it just a lack of alternatives, I would not have had anything else to do.
I came to the conclusion that I could do something else, not to repeat myself, that is, I could do nothing. I do not like that and then I prefer to repeat myself.
A Sunday with repetition!
That is, my Sunday meant, like last week, gardening and working in the yard. Cooked in the simplest way, ie barbecue and a small exit from the house.
At work in the small garden, that is in the yard. Together with my wife, I dug among the flowers and cleaned the trees, that is, I cut the dried branches or that grew too much.
We've been home for almost two weeks. Lack of movement is a problem because we were used to taking long walks and now the gardening activity is trying to make a little physical effort.
The most pleasant part, however, remains the view of the flowers. This spring they look more beautiful than ever.
After work and watching the flowers follow the hunger and pleasure of starting a barbecue. A barbecue with chicken, sausages, and pumpkin.
After lunch, I risked a walk through the neighborhood, near the house. Small rides are allowed, even for pets, but we do not have. So we walked on the deserted streets.
As I said, the streets are deserted. I think you see the multitude of parked cars. This means that people are at home. It's amazing what this virus could do to us. I believe that no law or recommendation could keep people in homes as fear does. In order to respect what others are doing, we decided to return home immediately.
I wonder how it will be next Sunday!
I tried to do a kind of report, almost a documentary, about how I spent a regular Sunday. I wanted to be as close to reality as possible and maybe an example or inspiration for you, who you need to stay at home as we do.
This blog was inspired by the challenge launched by @ace108 and @c0ff33a ... #beautifulsunday and #sublimesunday
Always the end comes with a flower! A proposal from @dswigle who invented #alwaysaflower.
