With the recent update, I thought of reaching and making a post regarding the Ranked leaderboards update. As we may know, the points you get from getting 1st place is 10 points only from the regular 20 pts for getting first. This makes it harder to climb to the ladder and makes it more challenging for players. MoonKarts’ seasonal Ranked Leaderboard is a thrilling battleground designed to reward both consistency and skill over a 10‑day cycle. 🏁 According to the game's whitepaper, 20 % of the total COLONY token reward pool is allocated to this Seasonal Rewards Pool—building a hefty incentive for persistent play.
This is how the ranked points before are distributed.
Every time you race in Ranked mode:
- 1st place earns +20 ranking points
- 2nd place earns +15
- Finishing 3rd to 6th results in a point deduction
But with the new update, it becomes 10, 8, 5, 3, 2, 1 points depending on your position. These points accumulate over the season, determining your final leaderboard standing when the 10‑day window closes.
Also the reward points are calculated based on your position in the ranked leaderboards. Staking factor (amount of Colony) staked is also important, placement on the leaderboard offers fixed COLONY token payouts. Here’s a breakdown from recent seasons:
- 1st place: ~27,000 COLONY
- 2nd place: ~13,500
- 3rd place: ~11,500 (3rd receives precisely 11,529 in Season 21 reports)
This is giving us an assurance that the ranked rewards are distributed in a way that it is definitely rewarding people from playing a lot of games. With a clear scoring structure and lucrative prize brackets, MoonKarts’ Ranked Leaderboard offers a fair and exciting pathway to earn big. If you’re talented and committed, aiming for the top ranks every 10-day season is both thrilling and well worth the effort.
