Happy afternoon to this beautiful #hive community. Today TBT Thursday I want to share with you my trip in 2008 to one of the most beautiful cities in my country; Mérida, "the city of knights".
My father is a native of there, and we used to go to Mérida in the month of August of each year, I love the climate, it is very rich; your food, too. That year there was a great snowfall, super great and we could not miss this and we had to climb the Pico, although we had already climbed on other occasions.

Pico Bolívar belongs to the Sierra Nevada National Park and is one of the five white eagles that crown the Andes mountain range. This peak is the highest in Venezuela; It has a height of 4,978 (meters above sea level). If you do not know it, do everything possible to know this wonder that we have in our country.

We got to where we wanted, the Pico Espejo station to appreciate the ** Pico Bolívar **; my brother and I were very excited to see the snow, to touch it, but you have to be careful, not to get agitated a lot, not to run because it can give you the ** “bad de paramo” ** they colloquially call it that for the lack of oxygen. In fact, he gave it to my little brother and he couldn't enjoy it as much as I did; had to go to the emergency with my mom

I really enjoyed my stay there with my family; We made the typical snowman, we threw snowballs at each other. That same year, the cable car was closed to remodel the stations and cabins, it was time to modernize them! It was reopened in 2016.

I hope you liked my post, and that my photos will spread and encourage you to go and meet him. This is one of my most beautiful memories, I thank God for allowing me to know this wonder; and for having it in our country, VENEZUELA.
Feliz tarde!
Con cariño, Isa
