> The day to climb the Pico arrived, I went with my parents and my little brother, we enjoyed the ride from the moment we got on the cable car until we reached the last station; Observing nature from that height is incredible, it's a bit scary, but then it passes. There are 5 stations in that cable car system (Barinitas, La Montaña, La Aguada, Loma Redonda and Pico Espejo). You must be very warm, I remember that that day I was wearing two pants, two sweaters plus a jacket, scarf, gloves, double socks. At the Loma Redonda station you begin to feel the height and the cold. You are already more than 4,000 meters away! You should walk slowly to get used to the height of the body and if it provokes you a hot chocolate, you should be careful not to take it quickly or without blowing, because when you go down you will feel your lips and mouth burned.

Llegamos a donde queríamos, la estación Pico Espejo para así apreciar el Pico Bolívar; mi hermano y yo estábamos muy emocionados de ver la nieve, tocarla, pero hay que tener cuidado,no agitarse mucho, no correr porque te puede dar el “mal de páramo” coloquialmente le llaman así a la falta de oxígeno. De hecho a mi hermanito le dio y no pudo disfrutar tanto como yo; tuvo que ir a emergencia con mi mamá.

Disfruté mucho mi estadía allí junto a mi familia; hicimos el típico muñeco de nieve, nos lanzamos bolas de nieve. Ese mismo año, fue cerrado el teleférico para remodelar las estaciones y las cabinas, ¡Ya era tiempo de modernizarlas! Fue reinaugurado en el año 2016.

I really enjoyed my stay there with my family; We made the typical snowman, we threw snowballs at each other. That same year, the cable car was closed to remodel the stations and cabins, it was time to modernize them! It was reopened in 2016.
