Sunshine and smiles, Hivers! It's been a long time since the last time I posted a new blog here on this big platform. In today's blog, I will be sharing with you all how I and my friends had an unexpected gala with our other friends that we are longing to see. Let's get started!
On previous days, we had an entire tiring week, so we decided to plan a getaway in which we could clear our minds and relax. Since the semifinals are approaching, the plan got canceled, causing us to be very burned out from going to school. Fhaneza wanted to go to the little tea cafe to grab a milk tea because she had been really craving that for a week, and she wanted to bring me there to grab a milk tea too. I also told our other classmate if they want to go to a little tea to grab a milk tea because we are very stressed lately. Joshua told us that instead of a little tea, why don't we go to Pier 88 at Liloan, Cebu? That's the cue that my friends approve Joshua's plan that we go to Pier 88 instead of the milk tea cafe.
At this point, we are riding a jeep to Pier 88. When we ride in the jeep, we are laughing nonstop because Joshua keeps joking around. I also chatted with Ruby and Des to go with us and hang out at Pier 88. It was the right timing because Ruby doesn't have work while Des doesn't have errands to do. Some of my classmates ride on the jeep that we ride on. That's why the whole inside of the jeep was very loud and very noisy because all of us were laughing and kept joking around.
As you can see in the picture, we have arrived at the destination, which is Pier 88. We walk 3 minutes to reach the pier since there are lots of houses and mini shops beside the pier. This is my first time going here because Liloan is quite far from my place, and because of my friends, I had the experience of going here and enjoying the breezy air here.
When we are on Pier 88, we find a spot that we could sit, and as you can see, this is the view that we have been longing for, a calm sea and a breezy air from the sea. We sat at the cement seawall at the pier since we wanted to relax and also chill, and the area looked spacious and very wide. At that time, there are still few vendors that are selling since it's been PM in the afternoon, and my friends that live near here tell me that 5-6 PM is mostly when they start to open their mini shops and sell different kinds of foods. There are some people who are jogging and a group cycling at the pier. In this area, vehicles usually do not pass by. That's why some locals here decided to go here and sell since most tourists wanted to go here because of the view and also because it's a great place to chill and relax.
We just talk about school and some chika while waiting for our other friends to come. When Ruby arrives at the place, we are very happy and at the same time very thrilled to talk about our life updates. We also took a group picture since it had been a while since Ruby was in our pictures. We really missed them both, Des and Ruby, since we no longer see each other always. After we catch up and feel that we are very hungry, we decide to go find a food stall that we can eat at and enjoy our food.
As you can see in the pictures, aside from food, they also sell clothes and other accessories for girls and boys here. They are very cheap and affordable. They also had plenty of things like bargains and thrift clothes that were displayed. I, Fhan, and Ruby decided to eat a shawarma because we are missing those times that we ate that at the school whenever there was an event. Some of my friends decided to eat a siomai.
We also decided to buy a cold drink that is sold here. This iced coffee that sells here was tasted and proven to be a good drink because there was a last time that they were selling it at the school where there was an event. My friends try their signature drinks, and my friends really like them. As you can see in the picture, these are their drinks that they offer and their ingredients used. They are very accommodating and very friendly, that's why we really love to buy their drinks and stay in their area.
While waiting for our drinks to be served, we decided to take a picture at their curved mirror that is hung at their stall. The curved mirror is so cute because of the stickers that are put on the mirror. We really enjoy taking pictures at the mirror, and we didn't know that we were very loud and laughing while taking a picture.
At this time, the sunset began, and the view is very amazing and colorful. The orange and the yellow color were mixed in the sky, which made us amazed at how beautiful it is. It was very beautiful that some of my friends decided to take a picture while the sky was still beautiful.
We also had a chance to have a complete picture because the barista offered to take a picture with us.
I and Ruby decided to have a great picture while the sky looks very beautiful.
When the drinks were served, Trisha took a picture of our drinks with the beautiful background, and we also had a group selfie while we were enjoying sipping our iced coffee. I ordered a non-coffee beverage because I'm not a fan of coffee. I choose the Choco-Saurus, their best-selling beverage, while Trisha chooses the Biscoff one. Some of my friends choose matcha and fruit soda beverages for their drinks.
As you can see in the picture, that was us having some fun hanging out at Pier 88. The area that we stayed in has this smoke effect coming from the barbeque stall nearby, that's why some of our pictures came out foggy. It was totally fun because we cannot control the smoke that keeps going to our direction. At the end, the smoke is tolerable, but we just don't mind it because the enjoyment and the bonding were totally thrilling. We talk about how Ruby and Des's lives are updated because it's been a long time since we've seen each other because they have been very busy with their lives lately. We also talk about how we struggled at school and how we survived each day.
We decided to go home when one of our friends told us it was 8pm on the evening and we still needed to study for tomorrow's activity. We say our goodbyes to each other, and I, Fhaneza, Sheila, and Trisha ride a jeep while some of my friends walk to the other route.
And that's the end of my blog, Hivers! This day was very memorable and very fun because this unexpected gala with my friends was totally amazing and fun. I really like unexpected galas because this kind of gala is really fun. I don't know what time we will have this again, but I think it will happen again, but not with the same setup.
Thanks for reading my blog, Hivers! Hoping you will find your own Dorothea where you can experience what I feel to have a great group of friends. See you in my next blog post! Ciao!
