There are two very different schools of thought:
🙏 One is that we have this pre-determined life purpose or soul mission and that our job is to discover that and then spend the rest of our days living it out.
🤔 The other is that who we are is totally of our own making and that we, with our humans minds, are here to choose and decide what we want our lives to look like.
It's very binary; one or the other.
Yet the longer I play on Earth the more I notice a whole lot series of places that we could insert the word "and" and give ourselves a far greater experience than limiting ourselves to one choice "or" the other.
🙏 People who consider themselves more spiritually inclined may look to the former idea and say, "Yes. We are here to surrender, allow and discover our true selves."
🤔 Those who see life through the lens of personal responsibility and constant improvement will say, "Of course, it's up to us to create the life we want to live."
🙏 The former is more receptive, feminine, flowing, allowing.
🤔 The latter is more active, masculine, pushing, power-filled.
Neither is better or worse.
Neither is right or wrong.
Like yin and yang, they both have their place.
So what if we didn't have to choose?
What if you could ALLOW yourself to notice the desires that naturally arise inside you, the strengths you ALREADY HAVE innate within you, the people and places you're naturally drawn to, and allow those things teach you about who you are...
AND
What if you also DECIDED to actively CHOOSE the things you'd like more of in your life (vibrant health, financial wealth, nurturing relationships, abundant travel, fulfilling work, etc) and went about learning the process of deliberately and consciously CREATING them, and therefore your new self?
Hmmm, wouldn't that be fun! 😁🤩🤗
